Shared the lechon paksiw and house special pancit canton. The lechon paksiw consisted of roasted pork with flavorful sauce and a side of steamed rice. The owners roast a whole pig. The dish features a bowl filled with tender, succulent, morsels of pork. Highly recommend this treat. The name egg rolls does a disservice(conjures up an image of Chinese egg rolls) to the fried thin wrapper stuffed with rice noodles and fresh vegatables. A must! We ordered a second serving. The house special pancit paksiw is a noodle dish piled high with mixed vegetables, chicken, pork, shrimp, and«kielbasa». Ordered it a 5 out of 10 for heat, still mild. Décor is nondescript. 5 tables and 10 seats in all. Décor comes at a price: tremendous value. You can tell this restaurant is a labor of love — not a job for these sisters. They have their act together.

I’m not from the area and grew up eating Filipino food at home. This place is delicious. We ordered the egg rolls and they did not disappoint. I love lumpia and the egg rolls had the flavor of a good lumpia. As an entrée we ordered the chicken pancit. It was a huge portion, filled with perfectly seasoned chicken and a lot of fresh vegetables. I highly recommend getting the traditional pancit made with rice noodles. I wish I was going to be in the area longer to sample more of the menu. This is a great find in Salina.

Don’t let the outside fool you — the food and service were both very, very good. We will stop in for a nice meal every time we pass this way.

Pork belly! That’s all I should have to say. I love this place. It has five star food, but only seats about 12 people. Don’t let deter you though. The pork stickers were tender and perfectly spiced. The noodles were buttery tasting with fresh onions and carrots. Definitely coming back!

Was in Salina for work and stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere unique to eat dinner. I was extremely impressed by the service, friendly staff, and most of all the food. I had the house special pancit canton. Everything about this dish was perfect from the large portion, appearance, and taste. I’m looking very forward to returning here as much as possible during my stay in Salina.

For being in the middle of Kansas, this was a fun find! I wanted ethnic food, and a lot of places in Salina were closed by 8 p.m. This place was fairly newly opened, and while the wait was maybe a bit long, the food was well worth it! I had a fantastic curry dish.

Stopped in Salina for the night and went to Unilocal for my dinner ideas. Went with the place with five stars and was so glad we did. My husband was very skeptical as he had never had any Pilipino food but he was very pleasantly surprised. Pancit oh how I have missed you, so good and just how I remembered and there egg rolls just like the Lumpia I remembered. I would have loved to have gotten the chicken adobo or even try some things I had never had but there were just the two of us. Beware though as it is very small about enough seating for eight total. We got a very nice helping of Pancit, three egg rolls and two sodas for $ 14. Cheaper than McDonalds and way better.

The owners were amazing! They continued to check with us and even gave us a free sample! The food was the best. You receive generous portions and you can customize your meal any way you like since everything is made to order. I got my lo mein a little spicy and this was the best lo mein I have EVER had. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fresh authentic food! Five stars!

I am in Salina often and always looking for new places to eat. Imagine my surprise when I found out there was a Filipino restaurant in town! Every dish I’ve had so far has been spectacular. There was a steady stream of customers every time I’ve been there, with many coming from over an hour away to eat some delicious food! The owner and staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy their dishes, often coming to your table to ask how everything was. My favorite dishes so far have been the house special pancit canton(even better as leftovers!) and the papaitan — totally reminds me of home. Food is cooked to order, so everything is fresh and the portions are very generous. Awesome place, awesome food!

I am so glad to see some more ethnic choices of food here in Salina. The food here is every bit as good as those offered in similar places in larger metro areas like LA and Seattle. Give it a try folks!

I haven’t seen any Filipino restaurants nearby till I came across this one, I was very surprised upon finding it so I know I just had to check it out, that 1hour drive was worth it, they had good portioned food and very nice people working there so I wouldn’t mind stopping by every now and then to eat at this fine establishment

I hope when my Filipino family reads this that they do not take this the wrong way. Pinoy Po Tayo Café had some of the best Filipino food I’ve had in my life. This is coming from someone who has eaten Filipino food in Hawaii and in the Philippines. Plus they are smoking a pig and the lechon is not quite crispy so the owner took down my phone number and will call me later to go pick some up. Talk about great service. –Jeff
