This little place is fantastic… a gem. I had local red wine that was astonishingly good, and a London broil perfectly done. What a friendly, wonderful place. You will not go wrong stopping here.

Just got done eating here for the fourth time. Owner is so friendly. She remembers her customers and takes an interest in them on a personal level. Love this place. Food is fresh and superb. Highly recommended!

A nice quiet restaurant. Unilocal directions were off but just call and they will help you find the restaurant. Excellent service and fresh food. The Korean beef was way better than I was expecting. I would highly recommend going. Dishes are around 9 – 13 dollars.

Atmosphere D plus. White walls, Super cheap tables, office is located to the right of entrance, in the dining room, out there for everyone to see. Very limited menu. No substitutions allowed(!) good soup but veggies in it were very undercooked. Got a veggie sandwich with again very undercooked veggies and extremely bland. Had to add lots of salt and pepper, which I rarely do. Friend ordered burger cooked medium, came out crispy well done. Recommend soup. Only.

Just because there aren’t any choices in this tiny town, doesn’t make this place a five star restaurant as the reviews would appear. The food was mediocre, the«restaurant» is a tiny hole in the wall in a converted auto shop, with one server and one cook. Eight little tables like a cafeteria mean you better not go there near dinner time. I’m sure they try hard, but the burger was small and they charge extra for things like cheese. The pork chops were tiny and overcooked dry, sitting in a big bowl of boring pasta. This place struggles to be a three star diner, so I have to give it two. I only went here because of the reviews, so I have serious doubts to the legitimacy of them. Would a fast food burger joint be a five star restaurant in Salida?

Great lunch. Had the Firefly salad and the combinations in the salad workd so well and was so tasty. We also had a burger with home cut fries. The fries freshly cut and delicious. This is a very Cozy Restaurant with terrific service and super food.

Great food, good portions, reasonably priced and super friendly service. So far our favs for dinner are the london broil, the ny strip and the pork Parmesan. Can’t wait for the warm weather to take advantage of the outdoor patio.

Checked this place out upon arrival in Salida. Based on the reviews I had to order the Asian tacos. They didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t quite sure how to eat them when the waitress suggested I eat the dish like a taco salad. That worked! They were amazing. The pan seared ahi tuna, apple slaw cabbage and other goodies topped with horseradish crema was a taste sensation. I wanted to finish my dinner, but three tacos after enjoying warm homemade bread as a starter was just a bit too much food for me! My husband had the soup of the day, steak and fries and thoroughly enjoyed his dinner, too. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great little hole in the wall… good burger. The soup was ok. Wish there had been something to pair with the soup instead of having to add it to an entre… daughter love the chicken fingers, even though she was disappointed when they came out. :) Chicken marinara hoagie was soooo good my other daughter said. One daughter wanted to give 5 stars, one wanted 4… I would say 4 stars too, it was good, but didn’t blow NE outta the water. Great place to eat if ya get a chance. ;)

Absolutely delicious! Been traveling for four days on spring break and this was the best meal all week. The salads were fun, fresh and the homemade blueberry vinaigrette dressing was amazing! Will definitely stop again when in the area.

Ok. Unilocal.5 stars is not enough for this little gem. One would not even know where this place was if it were not for a simple sign on the highway and a Unilocal entry. The menu was simple but covered many different types of food. We had the Asian Tacos which were phenomenal. The Spanish stir fry which was excellent and so filling I could not finish it all. The NY Strip steak was impressively well marbled, seasoned to perfection and cooked MR to perfection. The Resturant itself is quaint and simple. The service excellent. Amazing. This was the best place we found in Salida on a several day ski week.

The food here was absolutely wonderful. We ordered the Alfredo, BBQ Korean beef stir fry, Parmesan garlic tomato soup and the chicken salad. The flavor combinations all worked very well. A gem of a restaurant in Salida. However, I was tempted to give it only 4 stars due to our rude server. We had our young children with us, and although they acted like angels, she treated them very rudely. They were polite, clean and quiet. You can’t be mean to someone just because they bring children into a restaurant. The food was great though so it made up for it.

We stopped here after snowmobiling for a quick bite to eat before heading home. We walked in around 1:45pm and they closed at 2pm. I asked the waitress if they could squeeze us in since we were hungry. They took us as one of the last customers and I’m so glad we got to eat here! It was so good! I got the tortilla pizza and my fiancé got the steak omelette. The potatoes were crispy and fresh and their bread was delicious.

This place blew me away. It’s a Food Network episode waiting to happen. Home baked breads, local beef, and made to order pasta only scratch the surface as to how special this place is. Service is top notch, but the place is small, so plan wisely. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Salida!

Stopped here while on business. Was not disappointed. The food was fresh(and had excellent culinary creativity), the staff was fast and friendly, prices were reasonable, and the location was clean(one of my biggest pet peeves). Pro tip — try the Asian tacos. They were great. I will definitely be back. In fact, I wish this restaurant was located in Denver so I could visit on the regular. Keep up the awesomeness Firefly!

My husband & I stopped in for lunch, surprised & happy to find a place open on New Year’s Day. We read other Unilocal reviews and decided to check it out. The outside(& the inside, for that matter!) is nothing to write home about. But the food… Now that’s something worth writing about! Intrigued by the sound of one of their soups of the day, we decided to get a small cup of the chipotle potato chowder. It was delicious & had nothing else been good to eat, that soup alone was sufficient! However, my husband got the Asian tacos & I opted for a basic cheeseburger with the house cut fries. Oh. My. Word. The Asian tacos had a complex but clean flavor that despite best intentions to save some for later, we failed in that regard and consumed every bite. And the cheeseburger was perfectly portioned and cooked. Fries were amazing, fresh, crispy & hot; perfect accompaniment to the burger. Service was quick & friendly. Prices are right. And we were heartened to observe one couple paying for a family’s meal when they noted the dad’s Navy shirt and asked if he had served. Just a great experience all around. You won’t regret eating here!

I came here in search of they’re Asian tacos. Unfortunately they were out. So I ordered their Asian hoagie instead with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were amazing. Crisp, on the outside and so smooth on the inside. You could tell they were freshly cooked. The sandwich… It was ok. The menu says the meat is garlic steak medallions. Actually it was little pieces of beef cut up, and you couldn’t taste any garlic at all, just pepper. The sandwich itself fell apart as I tried to eat it so switched to just using a fork and eating its components. The pears were sweet as juicy, and to my surprise I liked the coleslaw(something you never catch me eating) Overall, not what j was hoping for, but I will definitely be back to try the tacos.

Thanks Unilocal for helping us find this gem! Passing through on the way to Telluride and needed a late lunch. The Asian Tacos were so unique and delicious, bravo. We all enjoyed our lunch on the patio. Friendly service, good food, and a causal atmosphere. Would recommend this place!

20 stars is not enough. Daily house made rolls and bread for their hoagies and burgers. Fresh salads and extremely creative daily soups — ie pear peach cilantro chipotle & squash with balsamic and cream base. To top it off — kind caring efficient high-standard service with a smile.
