They have a great selection of hot and cold sandwiches and salads. We got the eye of the tiger and it was delish! This seamed to be the most happening lunch spot and we could see why. The outdoor seating was a nice touch.

This is the3rd time I have written and submitted this review. After a few days it magically disappears which, i assume, happens with all other less than 5 star reviews. Here goes again, and note to the slimebags at sweeties: I will post this every day if that is what it takes. No other restaurant has removed my average-to-poor reviews. Don’t know how you figured it out but kudos to you for your trickery –5 stars for that! If this one disappears I will report you. Here goes: How does an exceptionally mediocre restaurant that has been open 5 years have only 10 reviews on Unilocal, all 5 star? Clearly they know how to manipulate the system,. the locals have grown suspicious and irate. Once again I was drug there by a friend from out of town. Another 12 $ sandwich, homemade bread that clearly used the cheapest flour, not that big, and a pickle spear. And nothing else. I swear no matter what I will never go again. teany tiny meat portion and was mostly bread and mayo. lots of mayo. go to Safeway down the block and make yourself a better cold deli sandwich at home for a tenth the price

I first want to say that I really try not to eat lots of bread. I know, eye roll. But Sweetie’s is the exception to the rule. Been here twice and both times were exceptional. First time we found this small town gem, we were in town for the Gentleman of the Road music festival and we were just searching for something that wasn’t a Clif bar, anything would be a happy reprieve from camping snacks. This place was packed but well worth the wait. Homemade breads and lots of awesome and inventive sandwiches(and salads). As a vegetarian I normally have very few choices but at Sweetie’s I was torn between so many great options. I got the Hipster. Fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, balsamic and some other sweet goodness. We just hit it up on our way to southwest Colo. Actually, went a little out of our way to go. Again well worth it. Friendly staff and tasty food. Haven’t had their pastries but they look damn good. Sweetie’s is a must go when in Salida!

I was in town for business with 3 of my coworkers and found this little gem. We all thought our sandwiches were top notch. I ordered the«Notorious». It was delicious! Topped it off with buying a «Magic» bar for the road, one choice of many from their line of bakery items. Next time I’m in Salida I’ll be here trying out a different sandwich creation. Awesome!

Widest variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups you will find anywhere in Salida. Great lunch spot, popular with the locals. Right in the heart of downtown Salida on F street. Just park and walk, you’ll be glad you tried Sweetie’s.

My frisbee team and I stopped in here on the way to a tournament and not only were they super sweet and welcoming to such a big team, the food was DELICIOUS. There were tons of choices, and everyone on the team got a different sandwich and loved it. Thanks Sweetie’s!

I’ve been here three or four times over the last year, and its my go to spot for lunch in Salida. My favorite is the BLT with goat cheese(I cant remember the name), but all the other sandwiches I’ve tried are the bomb. This place primarily makes sandwiches, but they have an amazing assortment of cookies, brownies, and other pastries.

— Super yummy sandwiches — All sorts of tempting baked goods and drinks — Avg $ 10/sandwich, a bit pricey, but good quality — Cute decoration — Friendly staff

THEYHAVEGLUTEN-FREESANDWICHES! Winning! Most excellent sandwiches. My only recommendation is to consider which you get as you are traveling. It was delicious, but some of the small pieces the topping was made of were falling out while we were on the road. Aside from that, amazing. Oh, and the locks/capers sandwich is open-topped. I hear it’s amazing though.

We stopped here on out way through during a vacation. It is a very nice place. Very friendly staff and the food is delicious! There is such a variety, too. The biggest problem was trying to decide what to get. I got the Eye of the Tiger. Would I get it again? YES! But after I tried some others. My dad got the Big Pig. He enjoyed it and said he would get it again… after trying others. So many good choices! My mom the Turkey Harvati with Avocado. She said it was delicious! Would she get it again? Yes, after trying others. The bottom line? It is a very cute trendy place(choice of gluten free) and we would highly recommend a visit.

SWEETIES has the best desert bars ever. They are reasonably priced and decadent. Their sandwiches are fresh and delightful. The staff is always friendly. Love it.
