This is long overdue. My 5 girlfriends and I, along with their other halves and children under the age of 5, planned a weekend getaway in Salida. We had about 20 of us in our party so we rented the entire B & B. It was perfect. Cam and Dick are the epitome of hospitality.
San Isabel B&B should be on a postcard, complete with its lovely furnishings and a very comfortable, peaceful ambiance. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and charming. Sitting in the living room offers the most breathtaking phantasmagoric view of the mountains. You feel as comfortable as you would be in your own home. Cam’s breakfasts are delicious, and the meal time conversations are delightful. We enjoyed chatting with Dick about his cars and the area. The hot tub was a perfect addition to a crisp Colorado evening. The children enjoyed visiting the chickens and the llamas.
We will definitely be staying here during our return visits to Salida.

Cam and Dick are so wonderful. Great conversation, beautiful views, two sweet yellow labs and a true Salida experience. Beautiful charming town, but not too touristy. Beautiful sunsets with free use of the grill and hot tub. Will be back. Awesome.

We made a last minute reservation after driving around all day. Dick and Cam welcomed us warmly, and their home is beautiful. What a find! The bed was cozy and the place so serene. Then breakfast this morning was delicious. I can’t wait to return!

Driving up to the house, you’ll immediately notice how stunning it is, regardless of what time you arrive. On that note, we arrived much later than expected and were feeling quite guilty, but Dick and Cam welcomed us warmly and helped us settle in right away. The basement where we stayed had a warm, nostalgic character with its vintage décor. There were cookies for humans and dogs alike set out in our bedroom! Breakfast was hearty and delicious — with fabulous conversation all around — and my yellow lab had a fine time running around with their two yellow labs.

Fantastic! Cam and Dick are great hosts and are extremely friendly. They also cook some amazing breakfasts. House and property are gorgeous. And they are only ~10 miles from Salida. Highly recommend this bed and breakfast, and I am hoping to come back again!

Cam and Dick are great hosts, friendly and knowledgeable. The have a very comfy B&B both inside and out. Delicious and filling breakfasts every morning with fresh eggs and will cater to your dietary needs. There is a nice patio and yard to relax in during the day or stargaze from the hot tub at night. Great location for visiting many local attractions. The only downside is that noise travels pretty easily through the bedroom doors on the lower rooms so you can hear the other room’s door open and close or the bathroom fan when on. But I’ll be back for sure.

I almost don’t want to write how fabulous this jewel of a place is, just to keep it all to myself, but that just wouldn’t be fair to Dick & Cam, and they deserve all the bodies they can stuff in their beautiful home.
Breakfast was unbelievably tasty, fresh eggs, bacon, awesome coffee… all eaten with the backdrop of the Collegiate Peaks surrounding you. Hosts were the perfect mix of interesting, interested, and unobtrusive. Bed was supremely comfy, and a fabulous time was had by all! Look forward to visiting there again.

Great breakfast, clean, cozy, amazing location. Hot tub too. The owners were friendly, warm, not pushy, easy to be with. Slept well in a very comfy bed. It helps to like pets as they have two sweet dogs that want your attention, and a cat that will come to your room window at night to be let in… ask to see the video of the cat vs dog in the snow.
