DONOTGET A READINGHERE! If I could give this 0 stars I would. It’s my own fault but I happened to find myself emotional after some family drama on the day I had planned to visit Salem for the first time. After walking around and visiting the shops, even Unilocaling to see if maybe there was a better choice to get a reading. This particular establishment didn’t turn up when I searched but it ended up finding me, how could it not? An elderly woman sat outside at a podium with a huge sign that read«$ 20 for a reading» she had a bell and would call out loud to passerby’s the deal she was offering. I had walked by her a few times, planning to explore the area and shops before deciding on a reading. Feeling hopeless I had wondered back to the podium when my day came to an end. She was a very sweet lady, extremely polite and not pushy at all. I agreed and handed over my twenty, I regretted it instantly. I was taken into a shop that didn’t look at all like the other shops that offered readings. Then into a smaller room. There was a trash barrel next to the table, filled with trash of snack/food wrappers, and a diet coke can on the table. She had to clean up before starting. Right off the bat she had asked my name and birthday. I have had readings before and was never asked my birthday. She went on to tell me all of the characteristics that I possess, which is funny because they were everything that my horoscope says everyday! I took off my wedding ring before asking for the reading and at one point she said my boyfriend and I would be married in a beautiful church, well, my husband and I married at city hall. She also said that I would pursue a career in law enforcement, and then started rummaging through her purse to find a pen to write down a website that she loves where she watches all of her favorite tv shows, and that I should check it out because I could find shows on law enforcement. There were a few times she’d go off topic and start to talk about something completely different outside of my reading. I didn’t pay $ 20 for you to tell me your favorite tv shows. She read my tarot cards, didn’t explain all of them, explained two different cards as the same thing, kept forgetting what she was saying, went back and forth between reading my palm and tarot cards and said the same things when she looked at my hand that she did with each card. The things she had«predicted» we so far off from my life, past, and present, that there was not a chance in hell this lady was the real deal. Not even 2 minutes into this reading did I want to walk out but at the end I left feeling ridiculous, stupid, cheated and aggravated. She was such a sweet little old lady that I really didn’t want to be rude so I didn’t ask for my money back, or leave right away like I wanted to. When I searched«psychic readings» In the Unilocal search bar this place didn’t come up, but she gave me her business card so that’s how I found it to let the world know to stay away!!! It’s creepy, uncomfortable, strange and just not at all close to the real thing!

My son wondered into this shop and I followed inside to see what he was doing. I really didn’t look around that much because leather just isn’t my thing, so I’m strictly reviewing on my interaction with the ladies. Both women were very kind and spent several minutes chatting with me about my recent move and adjusting from palm trees to bitter cold winters. They were very welcoming and quite pleasant. Linda gave me her card and told me to come back in for a reading… they were not pushy about doing one that day.
