In the earlier days of our trip my boyfriend and I visited the Seven Gables House and he just fell in love with this beautiful ship in a bottle and wanted to buy one for his father. At the time he had forgotten his credit card at the hotel room so we figured we would either go back another day or try and find one similar to it in a different gift shop.(We are in New England, on the Pickering Wharf, we’re bound to find one somewhere.) Well it turns out that that was one of the most difficult tasks to visit back upon. After searching in 6 different gift shops on the coast we could not find any. Not even a miniature keychain size. The Seven Gables house was a little out of the way and the furthest away from any other attraction that we wanted to visit so that was last resort because we knew, for sure, that they were going to have them; but because of the fact that we needed admission to enter the main area we were questionable about whether they would let us in to go to the gift shop. And we would’ve tried the Pirate Museum but it was closed for the season, as we came the last week of March. After a few hits and misses(mostly misses) we decided to just walk all the way back to the Seven Gables and just see if they will let us into the gift shop. On our way there we saw this charming gift shop with a little witch planted right it front, and figured«hey we’ve got nothing to lose!» We walked in and this gift shop had everything! From wands, runes and crystals, all the way to mugs, magnets, and snow globes. And amazingly after several painstaking trips to other gift shops we finally found the ship in the bottle! He was so relieved and we even got a couple other knick-knacks while we were there. This was such a great place and the staff was extremely friendly and very helpful, I highly recommend this to everyone! Greatest gift shop in Salem!

I stopped into Witch Way Gifts during my recent visit to Salem, and I really enjoyed the variety of their inventory. In one visit, I could have purchased a Salem t-shirt, a pirate kite, a weather vane, a glass witch ball, a «come to the dark side, we have cookies» bumper sticker, and a keychain with a sand dollar on it. I just bought a few postcards and a hat pin for my mother-in-law, but the point is that it was a lot of fun walking around and perusing the items. Had I not been traveling home on an airplane with only a carry-on, I probably would have purchased more, as the prices were very reasonable. Lastly, the girl at the counter was very courteous and helpful when I asked how to get to the post office after making my purchase, and that goes a long way for businesses these days.
