Great service upon entering if someone is available, which is 9 times out of 10 happens.
Thorough knowledge of products with complete explanations if needed also.
We’ll be going in regularly for years to come now that we’ve moved to the neighborhood.
I must say though that CVS and Walgreens close by have some of the same products, so it’s fun to try all 3 stores if looking for something specific.
However, there is no substitute for Winer Bros and rare products needed there in the neighborhood!

I have gone there a number of times looking for small items, sometimes not even knowing the correct name for what I’m looking for. Every time, the person waiting on me knew exactly what I needed and where to find it, sometimes before I could even finish describing what I was looking for. The employees are truly not just sales clerks or stockers like you now generally find at the big box places, they are hardware experts. Prices may be slightly higher than the big boxes, but only very slightly, and well worth any small difference.

Lets get this out of the way; I am normally a ‘just find it myself’ kind of guy and don’t want anyone’s help when shopping, but when I go here and am greeted when I walk in I tell them what I need and just enjoy the experience. A trip back in time so i am told. The guys that work here, especially the shorter guy (i’m short too, no worries) will run circles around you grabbing what you need before you even finish telling him. Its amazing service, something you normally don’t find.
Good selection of cleaning products, random hardware and the like. In a rush and need 5/​16″ compression fitting ferrules, for a nylon tube? Ask and you shall receive, and be on your way.

I love this place. Like one of the other reviewers say– the 7 or 10 time I have been in there– I am asked if I need help in the first minute or so that I am there. And they walk me to where I need to be and make sure I don’t need anything else. They are always friendly and attentive and the prices are decent. I will go here first before going to the big box stores for sure. And a nice touch is that they will give you a quarter for metered parking to get your business since they don’t have a private lot.

The Owner and staff are excellent and so helpful. I ordered a shed online and it sat there for a few wks cause of the holiday. Went in there this weekend and the owner actually delivered for us no cost. I was looking for a rake and the salesman found me the perfect little rake!!! If you need anything go here first. Thank you so much! I will definitely be coming in again.

I love «Teen Wolf.» Not that horrible sequel with Jason Bateman but the one true «Teen Wolf» with everyone’s favorite Canadian (to Hell with you, William Shatner) Michael J. Fox in the starring role. Strip away with wolf makeup and what do you have? The struggle of a boy coming of age. A boy becoming a man, growing out from under his father’s shadow. A man finding love. A man leading his fellow Beavers to victory in battle. And Boof. So much Boof.
But forget all that. Forget Stiles and his money making schemes. Forget the Wolfmobile and the classic roof surfing scene. Cast aside Mick and the Dragons, the spring dance and Vice Principal Thorne. Strip away all this and what’s left? Howard’s Hardware, the store run by Scott’s dad.
Winer Bros. reminds me a little of that place.
