Ordered take out pizza from here and it was great! The sauce is pretty good! I like how the slices were pretty large & thin. Overall great pizza

Not only was the pizza delicious, but the guy working a Saturday night a few weeks ago was willing to help out this asshole customer(me) who can’t read and came to pick up a pizza half an hour after closing time. That man is a Pizza Saint. Sorry I walked on your freshly mopped floors!

Delicious thin crust pizza! Had the eggplant and peppers, pepperoni, and mushrooms and bacon slices. Awesome! Highly recommend.

The only menu item I ever order at The Plum Tomato is the«Mad Cow» brickini so I am fairly familiar how its supposed to taste. However, it seems as the years go by the presence of their own horseradish sauce has gotten less and less. I remember the days when I would bite into one of these bad boys and my nose would start to run. The roast beef they use, in my opinion, needs some zip or zing so that extra kick was always appreciated. This past Saturday I ordered my usual, got home, and what do you know… no Horseradish flavor whatsoever. Maybe their recipe has changed due to runny noses? New employee who missed the memo? Honestly I am not sure whats going on but if its on your menu it should be in the sandwich. 3.5 stars because the sandwich is still good eats, just a little bland as of late…

Great place to grab a slice! Awesome service, very helpful and polite. Had the white pizza with tomato and basil and the bacon with broccoli, both were exquisite. Also had the minestrone soup, all the soups are homemade and ready to be taken out in to go containers but they heated one up quickly and served it for us. Garlic knots were also delicious. Awesome place to stop on the fly.

Stopped in before a bike ride with the family and got a few slices from the case, some garlic knots and something I think called concietta? Either way it was amazing! They warmed the knots up before giving them to us so they were soft and garlicky! The pizza was cheesy and not greasy! And the concietta was like a cheeseburger calzone! It was amazing! We will be back!

We moved to East Haddam a year ago and the one real bad thing about living out here is that no one will deliver pizza this far out. We tried Haddam Pizza in town but it was awful and the service was ever worse most nights. A friend recommended Plum Tomato and we were hesitant but it was a great decision. We love this pizza. We typically pick it up on our way home and endure the 30min drive as we try not to pick pepperonis off. This pizza is best eaten immediately but a few mins under the broiler and it’s just as good. Staff is always nice too, not a lot of room if you want to dine in.

Fantastic. We didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into when decided to try this place out. We were thrilled with the result. We ended up ordering«brickinis» instead of any pizzas. To me, these are a spin on a cross between a calzone and a sandwich. Two slices of their specially designed bread, baked in the oven. The bread was A-Mazing and the ingredients were flavorful and fresh. I can only imagine the pizza was just as delicious and satisfying. Their was a steady flow of to go orders and call ins for take-out. The only downside is that there is only room for bout 10 people in the place. It’s a really small lobby, so, plan to either eat outside or have to wait for a place to open up. If you’re in the area, definitely eat here.

I love this pizza! I think it is great to be able to stop and grab one slice faster than a DD drive through!

Colchester Plum Tomato is fab! It’s our go — to favorite! Casual mismatched tables and chairs. Good service. Great food. All the pizza’s, and there are a lot of great combos, have cool names. Or you can build your own. Very relaxed. It’s got bathrooms! Brick oven crusty goodness. Highly recommended.

The Sammy the Bull is by far the best sandwich(Brickini) I have ever eaten. Spinach, Chicken, Bacon, Gorgonzola and a creamy garlic sauce– it is heaven in your mouth!!! The have Pizza and a whole menu of their custom Brickinis and other entrees. I drive way out of my way all the time, because since the first time I ate a Brickini many years ago– I randomly crave it all the time. The place is small– and in the cut. It is better to take-out as there are only a few small tables in there. I usually order, grab it and eat a picnic at Devils Hopyard State Park down the street. The bottom line is– if you haven’t gone there yet– you are missing out on some of the finest sandwiches that life hast to offer.

We love Plum Tomato — great pizza, quick service, proximity is awesome. Place is small but that’s okay. We followed Willy from Illiano’s in Colchester to this location. He was a great manager and always took care of his customers! Check this place out!

You really gotta get a brickini here — which is basically a gigantic sandwich that uses pizza dough instead of bread. I always try to grab a Sammy the Bull when I’m driving through the area. It’s small and there’s not a lot of room to eat there — so I prefer to grab and go, there’s plenty of awesome little parks in Salem to go enjoy your sandwich at.

Very small venue with auto-deducted points for no bathroom(but it makes people dine-in for a smaller amount of time so that’s smart). With that said, this is the second best pizza place I’ve been to in CT. They cook with mozzarella instead of ‘analogue pizza cheese’(you know what I’m talking about *coughPIZZASLUTcough*), which equals auto-kudo points making them break even as far as awesomeness goes. We ordered The Sinatra 12″ which was the perfect size for two. It’s Italian sausage, green and red peppers, mozzarella, and tomato sauce. It’s not brick oven pizza, but it’s still cooked to a light crisp where the crust packs a final-bite-crunch that you’ll like just the same. I took my first few bites slowly to decide how I felt, and my boyfriend laughed as I began to eat faster and faster. It was to the point that we were down to the final slice and he says«Should I cut this in half?»(yes please). When we finished I asked as sweetly as I could: «we slaughtered that pizza, didn’t we?» I’m surprised more people haven’t reviewed this place. It’s great. Check it out.

Down to earth staff, great service, Awesome food, and cheap! Need I Say More? Found this place while driving through the town. Thought id try my luck(I’m not a lucky person so that says a lot) and it was brilliant. I’m not a picky person about the little things, but the tables looked like they could have been whiped down. Though from what I heard I just missed a big rush, so I’m not holding it against them. All in all… The Plum Tomato= Tha Tits!

I’ve eaten at the Plum Tomato in Colchester before and very much enjoyed, so when I was in Salem yesterday, my husband and I couldn’t resist going in for lunch. We each order Brickinis — he had the«Sammy the Bull» and I had the«Mad Cow.» They were both overstuffed, melty, saucy delicious wonders which we thoroughly enjoyed(and sampled each other’s). Wish we were staying in the area longer to have justified a pizza for dinner later this week. Maybe next time we’re down that way…
