Gina is the most amazing colorist in the world. I literally don’t even have to say a word, she just knows what looks best on me and we always have a little fun as the seasons change. And since I’ve turned my hair over to her the number of random strangers who compliment me on my hair always astounds me. I had to update my review because this last time was maybe even the best yet. It’s not even been a week and the compliments keep coming. Cousin: «I LOVE your hair! This is my favorite you’ve had!» Random lady in bathroom: «you can’t get that from a bottle!»(Well actually lady, you can!!) Hairdresser in another state doing hair for an updo: «You have to tell me what she did — it’s amazing!» Another random stranger: «You can tell that’s natural red.» Hmmm… do I tell her??? Thank you Gina!!! I’d give you 10 stars if I could!

I went in for the first time with a Groupon for a color, deep condition and blow dry. Tiffany was really knowledgable about my hombre-gone-wrong and after chatting with me about my options, fixed it up to match my natural color. Not only did it look great but she made conversation with me about who I am, gave me some tips on the area(I’m a Mass transplant) and info on how to style my bangs. I went back yesterday for a cut and touch up on my color. I will definitely be returning to see her!

I agree with the other woman who bought a groupon. I will not go back. I bought one for my mom and me. First of all, my appt was changed and no one called me. They said that they texted me. How informal. I never received a call. Then they managed to «squish us in». So we were able to get our hair cuts. We were not able to get the deep conditioning and the blow dry. We were told it was«one or the other». My hair cut is choppy and botched. My mothers cut is uneven. One side is longer than the other. I was in shock after the cut. I wrote a groupon review saying that I was going to get it fixed, but decided to call and talk to the manager Amy. She was a bit abrupt, but none the less, I scheduled to come back in and have it fixed. I was supposed to go tomorrow to have it fixed, but the owner Amy called me and was mad at my groupon review. Saying that people can see the review… Ummm last time I checked, reviews were for people to get a feel for a company. I’m not going to lie and say things were so fabulous and great! And as a result, I cancelled the«fix» that was to happen tomorrow. I have had it with this woman’s unprofessionalism and lack of people skills. The salon was decently clean, the front woman was not warm and fuzzy that’s for sure. And the hair stylist that we had would not listen to what I wanted. Completely different haircut!

Bought a Groupon deal for a haircut and deep conditioning. Gave it to my step-daughter to use, as she had a special event and needed a haircut. We were also adding an updo service. We were really excited for this service based on the great Unilocal reviews. Arrived and did not get a warm fuzzy from any of the staff, we were barely acknowledged. My 14-year-old step-daughter sat in the chair and we showed Jackie photos of the style she was hoping for. It was carefully selected based on her hair thickness, length, and her dress style. Jackie indicated it wouldn’t be a problem. I very clearly specified half up and half down. I showed her a photo of a style we wanted to avoid, and it’s one my daughter had in the past and she wanted something completely different. I sat down in the waiting area and let them do their thing. About 40 minutes later, I checked in and her hair looked great, pretty much what we were looking for and indicated as such. You’d think, based on that, this would be a positive review. Here’s where it all fell apart. I sat back down, thinking they would be finishing up soon. 20 minutes later, wondering what was taking so long, I thought I’d check back in. Imagine my surprise when it looked not only different, but pretty much exactly what we showed her we didn’t want. When going out to grab my purse, I asked my step-daughter what happened. She said that Jackie had indicated that she didn’t like it and asked my daughter if she could pin it completely up. My daughter assumed it must look bad and deferred to her expertise and said yes. I partially blame her for not checking in and I partially blame Jackie for imposing her opinion and or not asking to see the photo again if there was any confusion. I inquired of Jackie what happened and she confirmed what my daughter had said. Her hair did look nice, so there was that, but we were disappointed that it wasn’t at all what we wanted. We were charged less for what we were originally quoted, so that was a plus, too, if we were charged the originally quoted price, I’d be more annoyed. I ended up unpinning the hair(with breath held) and all was well in the end.

Love this place, and I’ve been to a lot of different hairdressers in my life, including the high-end, fancy schmancy, overly expensive salons such as Mark Harris. I’ve been to Cindy and Tiffany, both EXCELLENT! Reading other reviews here, I’d feel very comfortable with any other stylist at The Cutting Edge. They know their trade very well. Also important is how comfortable they make you feel with pleasant conversation, smiles and hugs. Prices are reasonable.

BUTCHEREDMYHAIR. I have never been so mad about a hair cut. Total disregard for what I requested. Cut so short I cannot even go somewhere else to get it fixed… I LOOKAWFULANDLOOKINGFORWARDTOMONTHSOFLOOKINGTERRIBLE. Cry every time I look in the mirror. I cant even put a barrette in it. What do I do now… shave my head and wear a wig. THANKSFORTHENIGHTMARE.

I went there a couple of weeks ago Jackie cut my hair. It came out awesome. Everyone loved it. So then I went back last week and had Jackie highlight my hair fabulous job. Omg I love it I looked like a totally new person. I am definitely keeping her as my hairdresser. Thanks Jackie great job.

One word… AWESOME! Today was my first time here and I got just a cut but I absolutely loved Amy. She really knows her stuff! Prices are more than reasonable and totally worth it! Going back to color my hair :)
