How is it even remotely possible in 2015 that a government agency like the DMV does not accept CREDIT CARDS?! It seems a little absurd that I can pay with plastic at nearly any shady food truck in the Willamette Valley, but not at the Department of Motor Freaking Vehicles.
But don’t worry, citizens, there’s a convenient ATM inside the DMV to charge you a premium so you can get some cash to pay for your government-​mandated documents. What a colossal irritation.
The only reason this place gets a second star is because my wait was fairly short, the place was clean, and the desk guy was moderately pleasant. Just make sure you come with cash in hand or be willing to cough up an ATM transaction fee.
