Least fave beach of Salem and where it is located is one of my fave places in Salem(The willows!!!) the beach just always has a dirty feel for me. I don’t know. I just think it is to rocky and the view isn’t great– its of a water tank and bridge. Oh well! My vote is for Waikiki beach at Winter Island

The beach, no thanks. I’m from Lynn and I’m used to the people who come here… so nah I’m all good. However the picnic area/common area is always nice. I love when they have the African American Picnic here. Great food, nice people, interesting times. Nothing quite like being the being the token white guy in a crowd full of black people. Do I get looked at? Sure. Do my friends give me a hard time when I go? Sure… but hell they are black, puerto rican and black/puerto rican mix. My grandmother is from South Africa, so I’m just welcome as they are haha. They don’t know what apartheid is/was in South Africa… so I’ll leave them in the dark about it.

Ok, if you’re a golden tan, beach barbie, or a book-n-chair totin’ MILF, I wouldn’t recommend this beach for you(but wait… read on). Even some guys should be a little wary because parts of Salem Willows Beach seem to be «cruising grounds» for some people. But Salem Willows Beach isn’t only about the literal beach — its about the actual Willows, too. You can go up on the grass and enjoy the park. In the summer, there’s lots of cool life activity going on around there. But, if you’re strictly interested in laying on a beach, or even going swimming, yeah, time to go somewhere else. Unless you like staring at smoke stacks or being surrounded by lots of jagged rocks and rusty fish hooks. lol

ok, ok, ok, so Salem Willows is one of my favorite places on massachusetts. the arcade and park and«boardwalk» are all great. But there are a few beaches scattered around this peninsula and I have to say, they all suck. There is lots of rocks, litter, and not bunch ‘beach’. There isn’t even good people watching, it just turns scary. sorry willows, I love you, but not the beaches.
