Pizza Hut

I was refused service in this establishment today with my three children and their friends. I went in and the waitress was pissy from the start. No one was in the front area except on table eating. After waiting a minute we went ahead and sat down at our usual table since we have been frequenting this pizza hut for easily 4 years on a weekly basis. Dates with me and my husband, celebrations of grades, we usually love this place. (Minus the redhead from today) and today it was just a mother trying to spend quality time with kids. She snapped at us rudely while making it obvious she was not happy to see us and asked if we were dining in. I smiled and said yes that why we are sitting. I wasn’t rude I was smiling and joking. She walks up to our table and mumbles under her breath at us «I don’t need your fucking attitude» I was just shocked. for one I didn’t have an attitude we were all in an upbeat mood, in one of our favorite places to eat. I was just shocked. I said «excuse me» Her response was «I don’t need your dumb ass remarks». By now I am feeling my cheeks flush. My children are uncomfortable. I am getting frustrated. I looked and her and said «you don’t have to talk to me like this»… her response to that was «I don’t need to take your shit today». She asked if I wanted a manager because she was done with me. I said yes I would. She went in the back. yelled a bit. Made a bunch of noise and then came back and told us the manager was making deliveries and walked away. She was not going to wait on us. Nor would we want her to. I am just shocked. And embarrassed and angry someone would not only speak like that to a table of children but be so blatantly abusive to a complete stranger. I have been in the restaurant business for many many years and would never treat even the worst of customers so abusively. I am just saddened by these events. and Think I am done with Pizza Hut for good. I will miss our favorite waitress whom I think is a manager now… They really need to evaluate their staff and If they are customer service oriented.

Yikes. Haven’t had anything quality at all. Most recently ordered the 5 dollar pizza and wings. Yuck. Horrible. Seemed old and pre made. The commercials make the food look good. Not even close. I’ll contact corporate to see how bad almost every Salem location is horrible in rating

I ordered pizza and wings. the wings… So they open up the wings to show me and the sauce i picked was covered maybe 2 wings got a 8 piece the lady was like oh hold on and shook the box and opened up again and it had a light coat on half the wings. Moving on to the pizza I got bacon and chicken there was maybe a very small portion of chicken on the middle area of pizza and very little bacon. So I say sorry to complain but every other time I eat here there is chicken and bacon covering the whole pizza not just 6 little pieces of chicken so she went and talked to I’m assuming was the manger and I hear her whispering about me saying there was no chicken and I hear the lady say he just can’t fucking see it. So the lady came back and said if I wanted more I would have to pieces extra… No thanks. Not to mention there was a cook in the back texting on his phone… Not very clean prep area if you ask me. Will not me back

I called in an order for carry out. Was told 15 minutes. Got there and was told it would be another 15 minutes without an apology or explanation. It was another 10 minutes beyond that for a total of 40 minutes. Still no apology. Only 2 tables with people which totaled 5 people. Not ok on any level!

Really disappointed, waited 20 minutes past my pickup time and when I finally get my pizza, it’s missing the toasted cheddar crust. I realize they show it to you so you can fix it if anything is wrong, but I didn’t have another hour, so I’ll just choose to be mad and eat at other places in the future. All I ask for future customers is an accurate pick up time and a well made order.

Worst Pizza I have ever had. I had one delivered today for the 1^st time & it will be the last. The crust was burnt & not edible. I asked for thin crust & it was thin all right. Like a piece of paper. I ordered a BBQ chicken & there were only 2 little pieces of chicken on each piece. So not worth the money I paid. Don’t waste your $.

I love the energy and many smiles tonight. Not sure if it’s new management or owners but definitely a difference ion service than previous visits. Keep up the great work!

I would love to give a better review of Pizza Hut because they have been around for as long as I can remember. I wouldn’t blame my latest experience on Pizza Hut rather more on whichever employee made the one they delivered to me yesterday. In short:
1.) The commercial location is really nice and I have had a pleasant experience when I go there.
2.) Their delivery is about 15 minutes more than Dominoes: not really good
3.) This is the reason I am writing this review. I hadn’t ordered Pizza Hut Delivery ever (I don’t think) and the reason I did, was because of their NEW crust flavored commercials. I am a sucker for trying this kind of thing :). Well, the pizza in general was good. No real complaints there. However, I am going to try to attach a picture to this review so you know exactly what I’m talking about. It looks like whoever trying flavoring the crust on my pizza, just accidentally dumped the entire container on a section of it and simply left it that way… Refer to pic as it will be worth a thousand words.
Pizza Hut: training, training, training… then quality control

Returned home from a long trip and was hungry so found that Pizza Hut was open. I ordered a cheese pizza with extra cheese on a stuffed crust and a 2 liter of rootbeer. I was pleasantly surprised at the price. Then the estimated time of delivery was in 30 minutes which I thought was quick. Plus the delivery guy got there early! And now for the best part! It was delicious! I would definitely order again and recommend to friends and family. Thank you Pizza Hut!

**P.H. REVISITED**
I haven’t seen any recent 2014 reviews for this place, so I decided to drop in and see how they were doing. I have been a «neighborhood patron» for some time at the South Salem location. I was at the Grand Opening of their remodel and have seen some changes.
This particular building is now a WingStreet that is (still) a sit down restaurant at this location. They have a buffet lunch that is good (if they don’t get too busy to restock the buffet table).
HISTORY:
I have boycotted THIS particular restaurant for a while. REASON: During the Grand Re-​Opening of «WingStreet», the (I would guess) REGIONAL Manager got all «huffy» and defensive when some people were taking pictures of the new store to celebrate their reopening. Instead of getting GOOD PRESS via social media and free referrals to their restaurant, he chose to upset the customer and be paranoid. [His Loss.] I don’t blame the REGULAR MANAGEMENT. (Although, there has been A LOT of employee turnover. This is usually systemic of poor management practices)
NOW FOR MY REVIEW:
I called to see how late they were open. Brandon was VERY courteous and found that we would like to come in for a sit down meal. He kindly offered to start any pizza order that we may have so it would be ready by the time we got there. (Good thinking!) I declined since I didn’t know what everyone would be eating that night. When we got there, it wasn’t long before we were seated. Andreas was friendly, smiling, and efficient. We placed our pizza order.
We had 9 toppings on our pizza. When we received it, it looked very well topped. (Although it was hard to see ALL the ingredients since much of it was covered in melted white cheese.) The crust was light and not as chewy as I would expect a pan pizza to be. It didn’t take long to finish off the pizza. It was tasty and a good value at $ 10 for a large. Also during our visit, Andreas made sure our glasses were never empty. (He didn’t try to UPSELL anything, although he could have.) He kept everything clean and made us feel welcome. It was a great revisit.
RATINGS (0=Poor, 5=Excellent):

I would be interested in other people’s view for lunch hour, delivery, buffet, and their other offerings. I go there for the booths and pizza along with the people I bring to visit.
P. S. I wish I would have approached all the «Big Wigs» from Kansas on WingStreet’s grand (re)opening. But I didn’t want to disturb their families from having a good time at «MY» neighborhood’s Pizza Hut.

I entertain the idea of delivery pizza only when I have more than my own kid to feed. Since I often make food that no child wants to touch (other than my own, and only because he grew up with such oddities) I suggested Pizza Hut. I contacted what I thought was my local Hut (S. Salem), only to be told that my local was the West Salem branch. How that makes sense, I’ll never know.
I contacted West and they told me I was in fact in the South delivery area, but they would go ahead and take my order anyway. The ONLY reason that I was semi-​ok with the Hut was because of the chicken artichoke pizza they have. Turns out, though, that they don’t carry artichokes. !!!
I cancelled my order.

Bad service, dirty eating area, bad pizza. Will not return.

Pizza Hut pizza isn’t bad… say like Dominos… but you could do a lot better. Sure they would deliver a pizza to you even if you lived on Mt. Everest, but that doesn’t excuse their generic pizza. The do have a decent veggie and cheese pizza — but only on thick crust… but this pizza does not re-​heat well at all… as the crust gets all soggy and bubbly and gross… so you must eat it fresh.
