Good food, great service. Try the shrimp Burrito California. The queso can be a bit runny until it cools a but, but the guacamole is wonderful. The atmosphere is very nice. Aztec influenced art mixed with traditional Mexican art on the faux adobe walls. The wait is seldom very long, as there is ample seating. Prices are very reasonable.

Passable Mexican fare at decent prices. The place smells strongly of what I assume is bleach. At least the place is clean, right?

If it wasn’t for the strong smell of cleaning solution, I would give this place 5 stars. The chips come to your table the minute you sit down and they are hot and fresh, served with a nice salsa. The menu is extensive, and they can always adjust based on your needs. I had the luncheon portion of a beef enchilada and a beef burrito. I had a hard time telling them apart as they were buried under a mound of lettuce and sour cream, but they were both good. I didn’t eat dinner that night as I was still full. Service was very good and prices are reasonable. The place was clean, but they need to find a solution that doesn’t smell so strong.

Decent food at best. I had the lunch special Burrito Aiteno with chicken. The chips and salsa was average, especially the salsa was bland. The chicken was seasoned well but not as juicy as I would like. The servers were attentive but spoke little English. Not sure I would come back again.

The food and service was great here. My date and I sat at the bar. Gary, our waiter/bartender was very friendly and gave fast service. He was kind enough to create a margarita flavor that was not on the menu. The restaurant wasn’t overly crowded or loud. I will definitely be returning.

I love thier rice, especially with some extra cheese. Chicken tacos are great, meat is always moist and flavorful. They also make a mean margarita. It tends to get a little noisy when it fills up, that’s my only complaint.

Not bad for what it is. Chicken was tasty. Beef taco and beef stuffing not very tasty almost bland. Salsa is authentic and tasty! Chips fresh and hot! Service friendly and pleasant. Lunch crowd not too loud.

Nothing to shake a stick at. Watered down salsa every time. The burrito I have ordered many times was missing a few components, as was the person I was eating with burrito. Margarita was very good, and the service is great though. Food took longer than it should have. They were not busy and all three of us ordered the same thing. The only reason I even continue to eat at this Mexican restaurant is because it is the only one in town. The mariachi band was very good, I love the violin they had playing with them. It added something extra.

Arrived 4:30 on a Wednesday, not busy but not dead. Took eight minutes for my order to be taken after being seated. The waiter never came back after I was served except to hand me my bill. The food was delivered rather quickly, nice and hot. As reviewers recommended, I got the #55 California burrito(w/ground beef). Great value for the money, nice taste, enough for 2 – 3 people but bland in texture, nothing but beef & beans. I would highly recommend opening up the burrito and adding some type of salad to add some crunch unless you like moosh bite after bite. Overall, not one server smiled or offered any personality nor help, like no one wanted to be there. The food was good but could be so much better, but you will get your money’s worth if you are patient enough.

You know you’re in for a great experience when over half the waitstaff don’t even speak English; Spanish is their only language(by the way, the service is uniformly excellent even if you get a waiter/waitress who doesn’t speak English; just order off the menu). You also know you’re in for an authentic experience when you see icons of the Virgin Mary and sundry Catholic saints all around. And Jalisco’s is indeed the best Mexican food in all of Salem, OH(it may be the ONLY Mexican food in all of Salem, OH, but never mind you that). Like others, I do wish they had a half-portion menu: their full portions are large enough to make the manliest of men clutch their stomachs in fear. The mariachi band they have in sometimes is very entertaining. The food is great — the #56 El Tapito is my personal favorite, and the #55(?) Burrito California is my wife’s favorite. We go here every time we visit the Salem area. Highly recommended.

Definitely the best restaurant in Salem. They’re always busy, but there’s never a long wait. I love Mexican but, because I grew up on Jalisco’s, I have a hard time finding somewhere in northeast Ohio where the food is as good as at Jalisco’s. The service is great, and it’s a great place to take parties– they can handle 12 or more people like it’s nothing new.

The El Tapatio(#56) is my fave dish. Prices ranges from $ 4 — $ 15 per person(drinks extra). Friendly servers and hosts. The food is always HOT. I’ve never had a sub-par visit to Jalisco’s. Quick service, with fresh chips(most times) that come out moments after you’re seated. My 4 year old loves Jalisco’s. Allow up to 3 minutes to be seated on a busy night. This is not a quiet place– People are very comfortable when they visit.(If you feel like being alone with quiet ambiance, don’t come here!) Jalisco’s has two locations– one in Salem and one in Alliance. Both have equally good service and dining experiences.

Better than the average Mexican restaurant. Great place in Salem for a meal and to split a pitcher with friends. I always enjoy my visits though I wish they had a half portion menu or something because like most Mexican restaurants the portions are immense. This is a good solid restaurant/bar that is always a good choice.

Best tacos i’ve ever had… hands down. Every Tuesday is taco fuckin tuesday… all u can eat for $ 8 and they are awesome! You can mix and match, i usually get 3 beef and 3 chicken and smother them in salsa and hot sauce. if i were on my death bed… this would be my last meal. No joke they are that good! This is one of the best mexican reastaurants i have ever been to and is no doubt the best eats in town. This place is a town favorite and is a must eat in Salem. The #55 Burrito California is hands down the best burrito i’ve ever had. Or the #42 Fajita Quesadilla is amazing!!! Dos Equis on draft and the margaritas are great!

There’s not much good to say. The salsa is basically tomatoes in a blender, the beef was bland, the rice was decent but the beans were pretty good. The chicken was the best part of the meal. It was marinated, tender and tasty. I had enchiladas, the wife had burritos. It’s not worth the drive to Salem. They do have a nice selection of Mexican beers in the bottle. Only Dos Equis on tap. The service was very good and the Tuesday night special(5 – 9) is buy one meal, get the second for 50%. I won’t be back.
