Coffee was good and the place plays good alternative music. The place is really big and open which I liked. The bathroom was very small though and in a strange location. The service was similar to the rest of Salem, kind of gothic and not overly pleasant.

Enjoy hanging out here on weekend mornings. Good music, relaxing 90s coffee shop atmosphere, and I love the coconut brewed coffee. Also– they always have decaf coffee, good food, rotating artwork, toys for kids… And they now take credit/debit cards!!! Perfection.

They are an unusual place and you don’t know who will be there, suits or tatoos. But great sandwiches which you can make very healthy and tasty. There is something calming about the environment. Don’t expect Denny’s.

I am absolutely in love with this coffee shop. When I first came in over 2 and a half years ago, I have never seen a menu anything like it. Their espresso tastes high quality and outdoes almost all other coffee shops I’ve been to.

One of my favorite local places to grab a cup of coffee. The front street addiction is a must try– provided you like a good strong caffeine buzz. The downtown salem setting makes this a great place for tourists, and locals alike to stop in during a day in the city

Whaddup it’s the coffee FREAK Aha yo I think this might be my favorite coffee joint in Salem yall! Coffee is on point I wish they had a cold brew iced coffee instead of the Americano style but shits so good I ain’t even mad at it. And the sandwiches are DUMB good. Try the transporter or the boss nova. Or if you want somethin real special just ask em for the Bryce. They’ll def know what you mean haha. Vibe is real low key and spacious for a smaller joint. Art on the wall changes regularly, shit would look dope af on the wall at my spot haven’t bought any yet but maybe 1 day. Owner and staff is all real cool and chill. Front street is my shit

Very cozy place! They are very accommodating if you want to change any ingredients in food and smoothies. Price of smoothies much lower than Life Alive down the street. All $ 5.50. You get a half sandwich for $ 3.40-$ 3.95. Good deal since they are substantial. I highly recommend chicken salad, tuna or roasted turkey on their 5 grain bread. It comes with a delicious pickle, but you must ask for it in order to get it. You also get fruit which is sliced oranges, or a bag of chips. I got coffee one time since mainly going in there for a smoothie. The coffee tasted really good. They cook an instant oatmeal for breakfast, and add freshly sliced bananas, strawberries, and apples. It’s good! All baristas seem like very nice people! Never an issue. I’m really happy they serve fresh wheatgrass. Thank you!

Latte was ok but bitter. I prefer Starbucks. Hubby had black coffee and described it as watery.

Easy, relaxed place. A little like the Atomic Café in Beverly or Marblehead. Juice bar and coffee bar. With wheatgrass shots available.

Funky place. Coffee: good. Got cocochino(hot) — it was supposed to be spicy but it really wasn’t. It was interesting flavor but not spicy at all. It wasn’t great but decent. Place is not like a clean cut Starbucks. But it more like a diner mixed w funky alternative coffee /juice place. Interesting vibe for sure. Baristas were chatty and sweet :-). Wud to stay there to work as its a little too hipsters for my taste. But definitely recommend to stop by and pick up a cup of coffee or tea. Oh! And they have wheatgrass:-). Interesting for a coffee shop!

We got to the door at 600pm and the guy said we are closed. I told him it’s a Sunday and you are already closing, he said the manager said it was slow so lets close up. I really wanted to try it out and it looked nice inside, oh well next time.

The dream of the ‘90s is alive and well in Front Street. Get the iced coffee. It’s fantastic. The sandwiches are too. Just don’t take my table, okay? I’m serious. Do not. Take. My table.

I had the best pumpkin spice coffee of my life at this coffeehouse! No exaggeration, it put every other coffee to shame it was so good. We visited Salem in October, so it was busy busy busy, and the line at Front Street Coffeehouse was pretty long every time I stopped in(which was frequently after I experienced that glorious pumpkin spice). Still, they are polite and don’t rush people or act rude, a far cry from many of the coffeehouses I have visited. They seemed to have a pretty wide selection of snacks, food, and other drinks, though honestly all I tried was the pumpkin spice coffee. A MUST visit in Salem!

This will be my first review on Unilocal and I think it is well deserved. For the past few years I have found myself regularly going to Front Street Café. I started after a few friends played shows there. It was nice to see a place giving the local music scene a chance so I thought it would be a good place to support. The food is great and more affordable than anywhere else around. Their coffee is always good(I mainly drink espresso), the fresh squeezed juice is the most affordable in all of Salem(seriously if I am wrong let me know), the sandwiches are always stuffed, and the smoothies are large and delicious. Sometimes I get frustrated because I want to do something new but can’t talk myself out of going there. Most of the time if I want coffee, a snack, to read inside, or to do some work on my computer I end up there. This is not for lack of great places in Salem to be. I have had a few business meetings there and people are always happy to be in such a «funky, cool, hip Salem type place»… lol. Glad to bring them. It is «just a café» but in my opinion it is perfect as is. It starts with the owners and the fact they keep a consistant staff of great people who do their job well. A lot of the same people have worked there for a while. The owners are there every single day working with the the staff, interacting with customers, and making sure the place is run well. It seems like everyone there is friends and it is always a good vibe. Check it out.

This place is located Prefer the Starbucks for a latte. I usually go to support local coffee shops instead but this location pulls some really burnt espresso shots. Service also took a long time for what it was. Watch out for that step in the door! They also have lots of coffee drinks using syrups with interesting names, however for the quality of the drink, I would head over to Sbux.
