this place was horrible with their service. our waitress Michelle left to take a personal phone call, while our food was sitting on the line waiting to be served. it took about 20 minutes until she came back out and realized our food was sitting there untouched. fuck this place. if I could give no stars, I would

Let me begin by saying this, I have visited this specific location twice a week for close to a year now. Service is consistently positive and the experience enjoyable, until this evening. We were a party of 7, as always. We sat down ordered drinks and well… That was about the extent of our visit. We did not receive straws, which I would have loved to have asked the waiter(Paul) for if he was anywhere to be seen. After much waiting one of our party members approached the front and asked if we might order up there considering we had yet to see our waiter in a considerable amount of time. We were assured that he would be by shortly. Trying our best to be patient we waited for what seemed to be at least 20 minutes Paul approached us again and informed us that we were no longer welcomed at Denny’s. Paul overheard a member of our table say the word vagina, which clearly offended us. I love and look forward to my time at Denny’s but with a server like Paul in the rotation I have a hard time seeing myself returning any time soon.

I visit Denny’s twice a week. Tonight, I went with a group of 7 to grab some late night grub. We were sat immediately and our drinks came out in a timely fashion. After our drinks were served, the waiter(Paul) disappeared for about 20 minutes. I got up and asked another server if we could order food from her. She declined and said our server would be back shortly. After another 5 minute wait, Paul came back to our table and said that he overheard us say the word,“Vagina.” He continued to say how much it offended him and told us that we needed to leave immediately. I have no issues with Denny’s, just Paul the waiter. I will not return to this location until Paul is removed from their payroll.

Always dirty here. Its just a sticky old place that is in desperate need of an update and a new ethic on cleanliness. Standard food… breakfast always cheap. Got a cheeseburger here today and it was terrible. Obvious the burger patty got frostbite so when it cooked it was full of water. I took 2 bites. my mouth filled with nasty water. no taste… i had enough. The waitress was nice and took it off the bill which i didnt expect or try to get. However it ultimately was the right thing to do. Keep your customers happy.

Cheap prices for a decent meal. Despite the less than desired decore, the servers are usually pleasant and attentive. Will keep going for a yummy breakfast.

The problem on Veterans Day was a broken water heater so they allowed the Veterans to return on Wednesday. That was good of them. Now, the fiasco on 16 November at 5:30PM: Sunday evening may not be a good night to go to this restaurant. There were four of us at a table. The initial greeter got me an iced tea, the rest of the group didn’t want anything right away. We ordered our food and then everything went downhill from there with our assigned waitress: I ordered soup and the breakfast skillet. My Wife ordered a Slam with 2 eggs, no sausage and double bacon. One of the other people in the group ordered a lightly cooked Belgian waffle. All seemed fairly simple. First I made the mistake of asking for some rolls while we were waiting for our food. I got a dirty look from the waitress. I never got my soup. My Wife got sausage with her meal(which she didn’t want) and had to ask that it be replaced with the bacon she asked for. The waffle was very dark and the waitress said it couldn’t be cooked any lighter. But surprisingly returned with another waffle, perfectly cooked. I was never asked if I would like a refill of my iced tea. When I got the bill, it had a third drink on it(which neither my Wife nor I had ordered). The bill had to be re-done. When I paid the waitress(and gave her a 20% tip at the prompting of my Wife, the waitress never even said Thank You. Hopefully we will go back to our normal schedule of Saturday evenings. If this waitress is there I will certainly ask for another server.

Well, it was another late night at work and I got a craving for breakfast for dinner again. Got to Denny’s and its like everyone knew I was coming. Somewhat busy. Again I got Ms. Caitlin as my server. We got greeted and promptly seated. Caitlin has the perfect personality for this job. Great smile, stops by to check on your needs just enough, which is what everyone is looking for. Caitlin should give lessons on what a great server should be. I really hope her bosses and/or management reads this review because it is well deserved. Now, onto the food. Got a lumberjack which was cooked perfectly and a skillet meal that was recommended by Ms. Caitlin and it was awesome. Steak, home fries, eggs, shrooms, spinach… A somewhat healthy meal. Good call. Caitlin offered dessert but come on, dessert Caitlin, where is that supposed to go? So in my eyes, Caitlin deserved a great tip… and not just the funny, don’t eat yellow snow, I mean a real tip. The girl probably makes next to nothing, working on tips and dealing with customers that want everything under the sun. Its a hard job and Caitlin makes the meal enjoyable. Stop by, asks for Caitlin’s section. After this review, I expect her areas to be jammed packed so call ahead. Tell her Toyota Rick sent ya. Enjoy your meal… and Caitlin.

To start, we were seated near the restroom area and it smells like pee. The place is gross. Denny is rolling in his grave right now. If there is time for leaning, there is time for cleaning. Hopefully someone reads this and decides not to go– you know the place is still dirty.

One of my kids’ favorite breakfast places. It’s amazing how far a box crayons and a coloring place-mat can go. The restaurant has nothing different than any other Denny’s across the country except for its very well trained and friendly staff. Plus, a Grand Slam is often just what the doctor ordered on those lazy mornings… Chris

No complaints as usual. Got the double cheeseburger and it was very juicy, very filling, and very good.

Haven’t been in a few years so I decided to go for breakfast. The place was barely busy, and most of the servers and managers were just standing around. We waited about 10 minutes till anyone even noticed us there. Our waitress took our orders and never came by to refill our coffees. She finally came by to refill and apologized about our food taking so long because the«kitchen is just slow» and that«she usually doesn’t work Sundays anyways» welll that doesn’t give you an excuse to be a shitty waitress !! I was really excited about what I ordered because I always remembered Denny’s food being yummy. I ordered the Bacon Avocado Breakfast burrito and when I got it, it was missing the avocado. Seriously? I was so hungry after waiting almost 45 minutes for the food I just ate it anyways. It was good, but our food was not hot. At all. What an awful experience. Then some guy came to the table, might of been a manager or something. He mumbled something to us, grabbed my plate and then stated he liked my boyfriends hat. Then mumbled something weird about it, like take it off at the door, or hit it off your head. I honestly have no idea what he mumbled but then he awkwardly stared at us then walked away. It was really weird, are you really running this place right now ?? Quite the disappointment because I remember this place being delicious and a cool little place for a bite to eat. Safe to say ill never be coming here again. Shoulda went to ihop !!

If you’re open 24 hours/day… Would it kill someone to spend at least 1 cleaning?!? FILTHY. The booths are still covered in the grease left behind from patrons of years and years… Over the food serving station the stainless steel on the wall is stained and filthy which looks like it ends up in the food. The floors have seen better days. Our waitress had a wet rag in her hand along with our napkin rolled cutlery. When i asked her for a dry set i might as well have told her i was going to take her out at the knees. It’s 24 hours if you’re in a pinch… but proceed with caution!

This was the first time I’ve ever been to a Denny’s while sober and I’m STILL giving it 4 stars. I had the chicken avocado sandwich, which was awesome(loved the dipping vegetables as a side — much better than a salad or fries). One of the folks with us ordered nachos with queso dip, which was friggin’ amazing… I think I could just hook up an IV and live on that. I mean, not for long before the heart attack set in, but OMGYUM! The service was quick and the people watching was quite interesting, to say the least.

I’ve been to the Salem Denny’s several times for breakfast, and dinner. They are open 24 hours and also offers free wi-fi. This is a classic«old school» style Denny’s with counter seating, booths, and table seating. The food here is good and not fancy and the prices here are very reasonable. I enjoy the Grand Slam breakfasts and the fresh brewed coffee. Christmas morning we had breakfast there. There was no wait and the hostess sat us immediately. Our waitress arrived at our table promptly and we placed our breakfast order. I ordered the Grand Slam Breakfast which consisted of 3 scrambled eggs, pan fried potatoes, bacon and sausage. My dining partner had the Fit Fare® Omelette which was made up of Egg white omelette with spinach, mushrooms, and shredded Cheddar cheese. Served with two slices of turkey bacon and a side of seasonal fruit. Fit Fare® Light: Under 550 calories. Fit Fare® Protein: Over 20g of proteinThe service was spot on and solid. The food was very good. The food arrived in timely order and we were offered refills on the coffee several times

I’ve been to the Salem Denny’s several times for breakfast, dinner, and late night meals, which is open 24 hours and also offers free wi-fi. This is a classic«old school» style Denny’s with counter seating, booths, and table seating. The food here is good and not fancy and the prices here are very reasonable. I enjoy the Grand Slam breakfasts and the fresh brewed coffee. Recently, I took my Mom here for dinner since I had to use up a $ 25 gift certificate. There was a short wait to be seated on a Saturday evening. The hostess sat us at an open table and took our drink orders, 2 coffees. Our waitress arrived at our table promptly and we placed our dinner order. From the 2−4−6−8 menu, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Dinner($ 8), which included the coffee in the price. My Mom ordered off the Seniors(55+) Menu and ordered the Senior Country Fried Steak($ 7.99), which included choice of two sides, soup or salad, and coffee. The bowl of soup(broccoli & cheese) arrrived very quickly, served very hot, which was very thick and rich. The soft dinner biscuits were served warm with soft butter. The Chicken Parmesan Dinner was a good portion of firm thin spaghetti, a crispy breaded chicken breast with melted cheese, and topped with a very standard tomato sauce. This dish was not piping hot and tasted salty. The Country Fried Steak Dinner was a lighter portion with one crispy breaded chopped steak patty covered in white gravy and served with crisp thin green beans and soft mashed potatoes(from a mix) topped with shredded cheddar cheese. This dish was served hot and tasted pretty decent. For dessert, we ordered 3 desserts off the special $ 2 holiday dessert menu including a slice of Pumpkin Pie and a slice of Pecan Pie to go and a Red Velvet Pancake Puppies Sundae(3 deep fried sweet pancake balls & a scoop of vanilla ice cream), two thumbs up! The service was spot on and solid. The food pretty standard diner fare and nothing special, except for the Pancake Puppies, which we really enjoyed. The food arrived in timely order and we were offered refills on the coffee several times. The total check came out to $ 25.06 with tax and before gratuity.

It’s Denny’s. You know what you’re getting: classic, greasy spoon Americana. Service is generally pretty solid and the food isn’t gourmet by any means but it’s inexpensive and portion sizes are plentiful. Come craving breakfast, leave stuffed and satisfied. That’s all there really is to it. PROTIP: If you come here on the day they’re giving away free grand slams, don’t complain about it being busy in your review.

Absolutely terrible!!! All my Wife and I wanted was a nice Sunday breakfast to finish off our excellent weekend. We originally went to IHOP but the line was way to long. It only took us about 10 minutes to get seated at Denny’s which was not that bad. The problem was the waitress. She must have forgotten to put our food order in because it took well over 40 minutes for 2 breakfast items. Other people around us that arrived after us already ate and left. When we finally did get our food which was horrible… the waitress forgot my wife’s side of hash browns. My food was not that hot either. The sausages were still cold… F-minus!!! We then asked to have the hash browns taken off the check and she didn’t even give a sincere apology. When she came back she said she took off the coffee and the juice. Oh my, cause that substitutes for the awful service and food. We will not go here again. Mary Ann’s Diner in Derry is way better. Even if you have to wait a bit.
