Went to this location a couple weeks ago and saw that the front car in line was a Model T Ford. As it turns out, that car has literally been in line there since it was purchased new in 1927. So I thought to myself, there must be a faster way to get a Blizzard around here. So I waited until the fall and went to a cattle auction and purchased a young dairy calf. I raised the calf until it was a full grown dairy cow, feeding it nothing but the finest hay, grain, silage and proteins. With the cow fully grown, I drove cross country to the Nabisco factory in Lawrence, Massachusetts. There I watched my very own Oreo cookies being made in person. I drove back to Salem, milked the cow, took an online course in home pasteurization, individually crushed each Oreo, and hand churned them into a delicious Blizzard-like dessert. I returned to the Lancaster Dairy Queen and the line had moved 1 car in that time. The couple in the Model T had finally gotten their order. My beef is not with DQ in general, they have a delicious product. But, when you pay $ 4 for a small cup of soft serve ice cream with a couple M&Ms sprinkled in it, you expect certain level of service, Lancaster DQ. If you are looking for an affordable ice cream treat sometime this year, try the one by the airport. 1 out of 5 red plastic spoons, would not recommended.

The lobby is packed full of customers and not enough staff on shift. It’s pretty clear management/owner is pretty crummy and they don’t know how to run a restaurant. Since we have been in the lobby we overheard multiple complaints from other customers. It took them 5 – 10 min just to take our order. We have been waiting a half hour for our ice cream and still have not received it. I won’t be coming back to this location ever! Do yourself a favor and go to another location for better and faster service.

I don’t get to this DQ very often since it’s way on the other side on Lancaster and I have several others that are closer. However when I came in the other day the place was nice and clean and the service was friendly. The only problem I ran into was that the lady on drive-thru was busy talking to the cook in the back while the front counter person was no where to be found so I ended up standing there for a minute or two before being noticed. The food was hot, fresh and tasty and I really enjoy their $ 5 lunch boxes. Very good deal.

Blizzards are great as usual. Prices are expensive for what you get, but it’s convenient! I could always use more chocolate though especially since it is a «chocolate extreme» blizzard… :)

Who knew that they do breakfast? Anybody? Love the banana split with all pineapple! No chocolate or strawberry!

I enjoyed how they put two different flavors together and made one cake .I also like the dipped cones but from time to time the dip can be a little thin . the buzzards are good too . go chocolate the cake was bought for me by someone great and sweet(but now think I should have punched in the face when they said she was moving)
