Staying here to visit family in the hospital. Nice and clean room. Friendly staff. The bathtub leaks, otherwise I would have given a 5 rating. Would stay here again.

One of the best motels I’ve stayed in. Staff is very friendly and try hard to satisfy the customer unlike most cheap hotels I’ve been in. Everything is clean, coming from a germaphobe like myself. And the rubber duck in the bathroom provided us with ample entertainment which proves its really just the little things that make the biggest impact.

We were in the area for my husband to attend a Hokie Football game and for me to meet up with my sister for some local beer. This was the only hotel available in the area, as there were many events going on in Roanoke that weekend. Upon first appearance, the hotel was fine. The staff was friendly, though a little too friendly. I understand that other guests want to chat, but when you have a line of 2 – 3 people with several bags and handfuls of heavy things waiting to check in AND check out(yes it happened to us both times), you need to be mindful of your other guests. I understand that this is not the city and we should expect everyone to move at a snails pace, and we did give them that benefit of the doubt. BUT when you are standing there for 10 minutes, PATIENTLY waiting for the ONLY check in staff to finish a ten minute story about their dog or sister or whatever else they were chatting with the talkative elderly lady about, it turns into a not okay situation. I have worked many years in customer service and know that it is hard to break away from a chatty guest/patron, but you have to learn to politely steer away and acknowledge the other guests. We had places to be, as I am sure the other person waiting in front of us did as well. The room was spacious, the fridge was a good size and the beds were comfortable, but the shower was NOT clean… the bottom of the shower was slimy, and they put a disgusting rubber ducky on the washcloths… umm no. Don’t ever do that. Also, huge, disgusting negatives: the rather large and disturbing black and pink MOLD on the ceiling of our room. Also VERY disappointing was the gym. I use the gym in every hotel I stay, I like to workout, especially if I am in the area to drink beer. This gym was probably the worst gym I have ever seen. They offered a stationary bike, an elliptical and a treadmill. which I would be totally happy with, except all three of these machines were in horrible condition. From what I can only assume, the owners of this hotel saw some old gym equipment that had been sitting on the side of a road for months through rain and snow and decided to put them in the hotel gym. They were flimsy, old, squeaky and very very rusty. So, needless to say, I did not work out. And no, I couldn’t exercise outside, it was raining… and I should have a choice…(I would choose to work out in a nicer gym)(not to mention the dead cockroach I passed as I entered said gym. The breakfast was fine… it was a basic continental breakfast. No complaints. Free wi-fi, free parking. I would have rather stayed at a nicer hotel… especially with the mold thing, just gross.

Another great stay at this hotel. It’s my 3rd time to this area and my 9th night at this hotel in 10 months. Always clean, full breakfast with protein options, and amazingly friendly staff. Cleaning staff smile and greet you, and desk staff will go out of their way to make sure you’re satisfied.

I’m giving this 5 stars because for $ 100 a night, you won’t get better than this… wow, really nice surprise.

Excellent property, rooms, location, staff. Breakfast needs an upgrade though. Good price value.

I had higher expectations of this place. «Comfort Suites»…is supposed to be «better» than Comfort Inn, right? Nope. The staff was pleasant, but not on the ball. I had to add a night to my stay, but the reservation wouldn’t let me, so I made a second night reservation. Told them this when I checked in, and they said they would handle it. Nope, 10 am the next day, housekeeping is there trying to figure out if I’m staying another day. I had«High floor away from vending/elevator» on my request list with the reservation. I was on the 1st floor across from the vending room. HELLO? Parking was easy, but can get tight. The room was almost good, until the final day, when a pack of ants decided to attack what I had put into the trash bin. I won’t be back. Wifi worked well.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The place looks very trendy, modern, and new. Our room was very roomy, spacious, and clean. There were two double beds and they were comfortable. Free WIFI and breakfast are included in the price. Breakfast options were decent. My favorite was the DIY waffles. For the price it’s a great value.

While inexpensive, there are many other better buys for the money. The property is in disrepair: — Deadbolt in our room was missing — AC did not work in our room(and was also out in a family members room) — Ice machine on level 1 did not work — Elevator electrical panel door just swinging wide open — Worn carpet in the rooms While you shouldn’t expect Hilton or Marriot quality, it is not unreasonable to expect the Air Conditioning to work and locks on the door! Positives: Friendly front desk staff and nice hot tub. The hotel offers free WIFI, but let me tell you, they should rename is «Slow-FI». It’s truly unusable due to the speed. Penny pinchers may still like this place, but there are many other better choices in the same price range.
