After a disappointing visit to a neighboring store, I came into Boston Bead Works hoping they’d either have what I was looking for or at least point me in the direction of it! The girl at the counter was super nice and it turned out that a nearby store had gone out of business and they had bought out their remaining buttons! What luck! Although I didn’t find enough for my project(all the ones I liked had only a couple), I did find two matching handmade glass Czech style buttons to put on the belt loops. I wasn’t super thrilled with the price; of course, I have expensive taste on a beer budget and my two lovely buttons were about $ 7.75 each! However, it will definitely make my coat one of a kind and I can never complain about that!

Great business. And excellent craft skills. I’ve come here a few times as area resident and had Kate make me lovely silver and small gold charm chains. And earrings as well. And I happened to witness her weave ten or more individual bracelets into an awesome bracelet. Making a very unique and tastful bracelet. This all coming from a guy who buys for my girlfriend and mother. I don’t think I’m what Is definitely describe as the typical demographic yet kate the management helped me pick out and design and build beautiful and meaningful jewelry that is treasured for the thought that goes into designing the necklaces and bracelets and my girlfriend loved the silver earing as well.

Cute little store… like the location, and even though I do not live in the area(anymore), I’d travel here for a visit. They have great choices and ordered a specific bead for me when it wasn’t available. I am new to jewelery making and the woman was patient with me and my questions! Yeah!

Randomly grabbed a Groupon for a class at this great little store, since I live next door in Lynn. From the first call to get into a class, I knew I was in the right place. Very casual in a wonderfully professional way, the class was small and basic and exactly what I needed to get me hooked on a new skill. I could not be more excited with myself and my new little beginner-type bracelet. With my class I got a coupon for future product, which I promptly used on all the basic beading supplies(pliers and such) I could need in a nice little beginner package that includes a book and everything. With beads, my new supply package was only around $ 45. So affordable. Yep, you know what you’re getting for your next birthday, don’t you? This place rocks.

Boston Bead Company is one of those businesses that makes coming to Salem more than just gawking at the witches. With a fantastic selection, knowledgeable staff and fantastic classes, even those of us with less than worthy crafting skills can make fantastic pieces. A welcoming environment makes this a great trip for any sized family with any number of ages. I highly recommend this store for the experience!

I love this store!!! I was so tired of overspending on jewelry I decided to make my own, and the girls here showed me how to do it. They are helpful, knowledgeably and have great style themselves… I’m never disappointed after I leave. If you’re not sure where to begin, just tell them what you’re hoping to make and they will walk you through it. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon. The prices are more than reasonable and you leave with something fun to wear. What else could you ask for?

I brought my little brother in here to make a necklace for our mom for Mother’s Day. Though it was close to closing time, the staff was super helpful. After we picked out our beads, someone helped us put the necklace together. Not only did she do it with us, but she explained what she was doing, and let us try it. In the future, we’ll know what to do! They have a beautiful selection, and my mom loved her necklace. I can’t wait to go back for other gifts(for other people and for myself :)). I really, really recommend Beadworks for a unique, thoughtful, and beautiful little treasure that’s as much fun to buy as it is to give!

I love this store, and my pocketbook lets me know about it. I am learning to be more creative and will eventually take one of there classes. I have only done some basic beading so far but the staff seems friendly enough. At first they were not open on Sundays, but they have since changed that. There are normally two or three people working when I am in there but it seems like they like to congregate behind the counter which is why I gave them four stars instead of 5. Otherwise a must visit in Salem. I love all the stores coming here that are not Witch Related!

A beautiful beadshop — filled with gorgeous beads. It’s a little pricey, but otherwise, the beads are beautiful. Four stars for only having one employee on a busy Saturday afternoon. Also, she never moved from behind the counter.
