Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salamanca

Now I know why they say… I LOVE NEW YORK!!!
Our stay at Holiday Inn Express in the «Enchanted Mountains» of Salamanca New York was WONDERFUL! This non-​smoking, pet friendly, and pleasantly fragrant hotel was full of happy employees and guests. The breakfast was soooo much better than KOMFORT IN. The coffee was just as rich and dark as Tar Bucks too!
The village of Salamanca is small but very very friendly and has 4 main attractions, SUPERB CASINO, SUPERB HOLIDAY VALLEY SKI RESORT, SUPERB HOLIDAY INN XPRESS & SUPERB MYERS RESTAURANT.
Tammy in the massive beautifully decorated hotel dining room managed the well appointed kitchen like I was at home. She was very happy and asked me if I needed anything to let her know. She made every morning a VERY GOOD MORNING!
Scarlet at the front desk treated us like we had been to the hotel many times like she was glad we were there and this was only our first time. Additional grounds & room staff smiled and waved when we passed in the hall.
The pool, jacuzzi & work out center were sparkling clean and loaded with towels. They allow pets and our pets being pedigree and professionally trained were treated kindly as well.
WE WILL return next year 2017 to ski several times at Holiday Valley Resort and maybe in the summer just to visit the casino and enjoy the mountainous region.
Our room with 2 delicious comfortable queen beds each with 4 massive soft and medium firm pillows was HUGE. The toiletries smelled soooooooo good a fragrance called WHITE CITRUS. The room even had a fridge and microwave island & a Keurig coffee service. It was like a honeymoon suite and everything was brand new. FREE WIFI AND CABLE TELEVISION.
½ mile away is a 5 star casino, across the street from the hotel (walking distance) is a small very nice professional additional casino. There is only one DARN GOOD lunch & dinner restaurant called Myers it’s about 2 miles away on the same side of the boulevard as the hotel. It looks like a log cabin with a big front porch. Awesome WOW CHOW!
FOLKS! You have to stop by and enjoy this place!
Fair warning the roads are heavily patrolled so don’t drink or text & drive and go the speed limit. This is a very safe area out in the «Enchanted Mountains of New York».

I recently stayed at the newly remodeled Holiday Inn. It was clean and beautiful. The pool was warm, clean and accessible with your room key. The hotel itself is all maintained and very clean. Breakfast is one of those great FULL breakfasts with plenty of variety including eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes etc. excellent staff. Very kind and helpful. Everyone working here seems to have pride in what they are doing. This place is near a gorgeous Seneca Casino. Nearby are fast food places. Good location of NYS thruway! Book early because there is a limited amount of rooms! Great beddings and actual framed photography from the nearby Alleghany State Park! If looking for something to do, go for a weekend and relax and enjoy. Nearby Bingo hall and Parkview grocery store!

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels but this one is definitely up there! My mom and I stayed here one night for a birthday party a few miles away. Upon arriving, the desk attendant was very nice, the hotel lobby was very clean and modern. We got a room on the second floor. Our room was very nice and clean! It even had a small refrigerator and microwave. The beds each had 4 pillows — all four labeled with either ‘firm’ or ‘soft’. I’d have to say the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! The shower however, was my absolute FAVORITE part! Amazing pressure and shower head, I never wanted to get out. They had the bathroom stocked with Bath and Body Works shampoo, conditioner and even a makeup remover wipe! In the morning, we had an envelope under our door for a speedy checkout — just a paper to sign! We already had breakfast plans but I’m sure their free continental breakfast was just as good as all the other experiences here. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to hit up the casino — as they have a shuttle back and forth every 30 minutes. I already miss the bed there!

I’ve stayed in quite a few Holiday Inn Express Hotels as well as many other hotels in this price range, and this is the best one so far.
Service was extremely friendly and efficient, and they upgraded us to a Kid’s Suite at no extra charge.
Room was clean, hallways were clean, pool was very nice.
Breakfast was the same as every other Holiday Inn Express (not fantastic) but it was plentiful and they had everything.
Will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Nice location about ¼ mile from casino. Half the price of the casino on weekends. Room was actually well lite. The place has the feel of a recent renovation. Plenty of cold air from AC. The bathroom has granite and insert for shower. The bad part is no microwave or refridge in room. They allowed a late check out without a hassle. There is a free breakfast in morning. Staff was way too friendly to actually come from New York State.

My room was very nice. It was clean and big. The furniture was new. The bed was very comfortable! The sheets were new, clean and soft. Nice and abundant pillows. The air conditioner, mercifully, worked great! There was a heat wave when I was there. Shower was nice. The guy at the front desk, I wish I could remember his name, was really friendly, helpful and efficient. If I had one complaint it would be that the hallway sometimes smelled vaguely of stale smoke. My room, however, had no oder. I will definitely stay there again when i come to town.

This hotel is conveniently very close to the expressway exit. They have hot tea, and coffee available all day, I liked this. the breakfast selection was nice, there was cheese omelets, and danishes, cereal, milk, and yogurt.
One detracting thing was that when I checked it, the desk clerk said that my room was just recently converted from a smoking room to a non-​smoking room. However, upon arrival to the room, there were still 3 ashtrays in the room, which means that the desk clerk was deceiving me by saying that it was converted. There was still a lingering smell of smoke in the room.
I was thinking about swimming in the indoor poll, but asked some pre-​teen kids that I saw at the elevator, how the pool was, and the all said that the pool was «boiling hot».
