Mud Pies Pottery & Sir Wigglesworth’s Homemade Fudge

We loved this place! We bought and egg baker and it is awesome! Going to get another one for my son for college!

Oh my gosh. The fudge. THE FUDGE. I didn’t get a picture of it because it was gone so quickly.
My niece lives in Salado, on the golf course, so we hopped in her golf cart to check out the little shops and such downtown. The last time we were here it was cold and rainy… as in 37°. Who wants to get out and explore in that weather? Ugh.
So out we traveled in the little golf cart… so many neat antique shops and boutiques, that had all kinds of yummy food items, but my nice said no, wait, we need to get fudge. You won’t regret it. Well, I never regret fudge anyway, but this was out of the world good!
So many delicious kinds, and we were able to try samples. I decided on the salted caramel chocolate fudge, my niece got the espresso fudge (I think that’s what it was called — it tasted like chocolate covered coffee beans) and my sister in law got chocolate with pecans.
They had a crème brûlée fudge that was delicious too and I could have spent $ 100 on just fudge there. And probably gained as much either because I can not resist this delicious yummy stuff!
It’s all homemade, and when she cuts a slab, she doesn’t measure, she just cuts, so you may be paying anywhere from $ 6.99 to $ 8.00 for a chunk. So it’s not cheap. but if you want cheap, go down the road and get a Hershey’s bar. If you want delicious, homemade with love fudge, come here!

This was a cute little boutique shop that only sold hand-​spun pottery and amazing fudge in at least two dozen flavors. The lady at the counter (the owner) was VERY sweet and let us sample 2 – 3 different kinds of her home-​made fudge. Her pottery was very pretty but rustic –not my style really but nice none-​the-​less. Her fudge was amazing and the price wasn’t bad either. If you’re in the area you should check it out.
