Holiday Inn Express Salado-Belton

We did not actually stay here, but I surely will if I’m ever staying over in Salado. We were passing through Salado on IH35 during a pretty wicked weather event, and we saw there was a hailstorm coming our way. We pulled off at the first available exit – which happened to be the exit for the Holiday Inn Express. In hopes we could find temporary shelter, we stopped. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She pointed us to the restrooms, the hot cocoa/​coffee area, and the fireplace. She also checked out the weather radar for us on her computer. We were able to sit out the storm in a very warm, nice, clean place. Living in a large city can sometimes make us forget there are places like this in the world – where people welcome you in with no ulterior motive, because it is the right thing to do for others. Very nice hotel. It’s still pretty new. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The staff is very helpful. Salado is close and has a bunch of very good restaurants. Downtown Salado has a bunch of little shops and such. I recommend them.

we stayed here on 5÷23−5÷24÷2014. Most things were good, typical holiday inn style. Pool is real nice.
