Stopped in on a Thanksgiving night. Don’t know why I thought it would be open, but it was. The Elbow staff and customers(just a few) were the friendliest people I ever met. A pleasure to drink there.

Being from Texas and eating at Cooper’s in Llano and The Salt Lick in Buda, we were blown away by the deliciousness of the food here. So worth the tiny detour off Route 44 to jump on old Route 66. Food, service and price were all outstanding.

We stopped in while on the way to Branson. The food was decent and priced well. Wait staff was nice, the inside bar area was not well lit. Only downfall is that when you leave, you end up smelling like an ashtray… not cool for the nonsmoking types.

Best BBQ in town. Also great Bike night on Thursdays. Free buffet and $ 1 beer.

This was fun! We were really disapointed it was as early in the day as it was ’cause we would’ve loved to have diner and spent the night here to party! The people working here were a blast and the cooking smelled delicious. The beer was cheap, the spot outside to sit and drink served it’s purpose and it was an all-round great hang out. Next time we’re passing through we’ll be sure to have some food here and hang out through the night, this place looked like it’s wild at night, the way we like it!

It’s a great place for Bike night Thursday nights, with $ 1 beers and free food while it lasts if what they’re serving doesn’t tickle your fancy, they have excellent BBQ the best IMO next to my own. I am not able to give five stars due to the fact that a U.S. Flag and POW/MIA Flags fly vertically over the place and it seems like every time I have been there either the U.S. Flag has been unserviceable or it’s twisted up on the line. It’s really a slap in the face to all Veterans and the Local MC’s that are comprised primarily of Veterans that frequent the establishment. However, I would recommend this place to people visiting Pulaski county.

Yes, this place is in the middle of nowhere, but please don’t let that stop you from going. This was actually the best meal that I had in St. Robert. I highly recommend the Rib dinner for only $ 9.99. You get 4 huge meaty ribs, with an awesome dry rub that has a bit of a kick… The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The best part is that you do not to be a biker to have fun. Don’t forget to bring your bra and hang it from the ceiling.

Holy shit, I love this place. I had BBQ for the first time a couple days ago and I was not disappointed. I love that it’s out of the way and not full of the usual FLW crowd. Inexpensive and you can play pool while listening to some local musical talent on the kaereoke(can’t spell that). Terry and Susie are fricken awesome and their Halloween party was sweet… aaand I met my husband here. LOL.

FAVORITEBIKERBAROFALLTIME. Thanks to some friends at Ft Leonard Wood, MO this was the place to go any chance we had a break off base. Amazing BBQ& hospitality. We had so much fun doing karaokee. The locals are fabulous singers and were nice enough to at least clap when we epically failed at good singing. Line dancing to Copperhead Road by Steve Earle was a blast. I also love the fact that they have a bon fire outside & that I got to photograph«Popeye» by his short bus. Here are some photos of Elbow Inn towards the end of this album:

Great BBQ with an awesome atmosphere. Terry(the owner) is a great guy and will make sure you leave happy with your experience. Checking out the bras on the ceiling could be an all afternoon adventure. Plenty of drinks to wash down the BBQ pork and the river is right out the back door. I have been there at least 15 times and will probably be back again soon.

Found this place thanks to Unilocal.I’m not a biker but love BBQ, I was in the neighborhood and it was worth the trip; In fact made it there a second time couple of days later. I got rack of Ribs and they were awesome; plenty of flavor, sauce and not too much fat. The fries were hot and cooked just right. The second trip went with the pork ribs and again not disappointed. Both times the food was plenty, it was cheap and the both the staff and crowed was friendly. Top that off with ice cold beer on a hot summer July day and you can’t beat it. Ladies bring an extra bra, don’t ask and enjoy the drive along Rt 66.

This place is awesome! Without a doubt the best little hole in the wall BBQ place around! It’s great for the following reasons: inexpensive drink prices, the ceiling is littered with women’s bra’s(it’s a long story how they get there), the Slaw Burger with tator tots is incredible, the annoying young army private types are never there, they host a kayak/rafting trip on the weekends(which is an experience in it self), and the people who work there are friendly as hell! If you’re in the area, TDY, or just passing by… get the hell down there now!

The only bar I stopped by at in MO and I am glad I did. Awesome feel and great people. Casino was the bartender and he’s a blast. Also for only $ 5 you can have the«bouncer» brake an ashtray on his head.

I stumbled upon this place completely by accident on a cross-country motorcycle trip. I inquired about camping in the area and was given a form to fill out, the form stated there was a $ 10 fee, but they waived it because it was«bike nite» There must have been over 100 people in this rather small establishment that night, and everyone was having a great time. I was the only guy riding a BMW — but that didn’t seem to matter to anyone. I didn’t try the BBQ, but the beer was cold and cheap!

I came here on some Route 66 wanderin’ over this past Thanksgiving. I joked with the owner that my daughter and I were there for Thanksgiving dinner, expecting just to make a meal of the typical BBQ fare there. To my surprise, the owners had a full-fledged TDay meal ready for us, ensured my daughter and I were stuffed to the gills, and treated us with some of the best hospitality I’ve ever seen. Not to mention, my daughter is autistic, and the owners went out of their way to make her and I feel completely at home. Can’t wait to go back!

Julia and Paul are real accurate on this place except… Bring a CHEAP bra. I can’t tell you how many of my VS bras that I can’t find.(although I am wondering… nevermind.) This was a frequent spot for me and my 5thEN buddies for many summers. Yep yep that was me and my friends with our Jeeps, pickups, chairs and bean bags below the bridge right next to this spot. I love this place. Super cheap, friendly and over all great. Go cabrewing.(Canoeing +drinking brew) and stop here.

The Elbow Inn is not biker friendly — It is a biker bar with bikers that are friendly — so don’t hesitate to stop! You don’t need to have a bike to enjoy this establishment. The BBQ is excellent and you can always strike up a conversation! Located in the middle of nowhere, you can let your hair down, relax, and have a great time. When it is warm they have lots of bands, karaōke, and horseshoes. Nice view of the Big Piney River. Food is reasonable and drinks are cheap. Come as you are and you’ll fit right in! Not open on Sundays

Nice thick, sweet, BBQ sauce. Solid tater tots and fries too! I had the pulled pork, husband had the brisket. Super cheap, friendly service. All the signed bras hanging from the ceeling were a nice touch. Also, free WI-FI, randomly. Definitely try it, if you are on Route 66 it’s only a few blocks off the path anyway, and you definitely want to see that area, beautiful scenery! Only downside was the stale smoky smell but hey, you expect it in a place like this :)

Bring an extra bra when you visit this place and leave your mark at a Route 66 institution! Seriously, you can’t even see the ceiling for all the bras hanging from it. All sizes, all colors, some racier than the others… I’m not sure who started that tradition at this biker bar &BBQ joint, but I’d be willing to bet that many Route 66 travelers end up walking out of the Elbow Inn braless. Ha. We stopped in for lunch and were served some tasty pulled pork sandwiches by our very friendly waitress. We also asked for a side of tater tots to share and thank goodness we were sharing – I swear they gave us an entire bag of tots! Perfect for shoving into your warm-up pants for later, Napoleon. Locals lined the bar, drinking in the afternoon; Route 66 tourists from Germany and Great Britain(and Chicago – that was us, at the time) filled the place and the jukebox was worth my change. All was right with the world. Ladies, if you visit the Elbow Inn, please, PLEASE check out the women’s bathroom. It’s a single stall deal, but it has a bench/love seat type thing in there, covered with purple velvet and zebra print, if I remember correctly. I’m not sure if that’s so girlfriends can make the trip to the bathroom together or if it’s for more exciting drunken encounters. Either way, it’s a hilarious addition to this Route 66 gem.
