Really cool atmosphere & laid back vibe. I didn’t eat while here, there aren’t much of any vegetarian options. I can say that my dining companions really liked their sushi & the Eddies(although the Eddies were on happy hour special, the waiter kindly offered to add cheese & bacon… he just neglected to tell us that the up charge for the addition was more than the cost of the tots on HH special). The house red wine(a cab sav) was delicious and a mere $ 3! The tiki drinks could be improved. I tried the St Pete Sleave(or something like that) & it was a watered down fruit juice boozy cocktail that I won’t be getting again. A great place to meet friends or just hang out… I’ll be going again soon.

First time there and definitely won’t be the last. All the food was amazing and service even better. I had«The Miller» as an app with the sweet potatoes, best duck I’ve ever had. Sushi was the bomb, Fig n Pig flatbread another amazing dish. Make it a point to stop in, big bar with a lot of flat screens to catch a game. Special thanks to the Chef Kevin, and our server Corey.

I usually come to this place Friday afternoons with my dad. We love it! They have a good draft beer selection and the sushi is always fresh. Kayla has been our server and she’s on top of everything. The service is always fast and everyone’s really friendly. You can usually catch the owner walking around the place too. I think that’s a good sign of leadership when the owner is around a lot. There’s tons of T.V.s playing all the current games and two big pool tables. It’s a relaxing environment and I love that they are always playing oldies music. This is definitely our Friday afternoon spot and I would highly recommend this place!

Great atmosphere. Décor is really interesting and unique. Food was ridiculously good! Server Dan was probably one of the best I’ve seen. Dan is very personable and funny and doesn’t even try. Will definitely be back and tell many to come here!

I love this place! The staff is very cool and fun. Although each time I come, the cook makes the dishes different and I would have to say the first chef was superb and has gotten me back there several times but the staff and atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. Hopefully they get a stream line on how to prepare the food because it seems like a good place I would hate for a couple lazy cooks to ruin

This was our first time and we enjoyed the experience. We ordered the voodoo chips to start, and the volcano and cc & t rolls. The volcano chips were delicious and fresh! We enjoyed the cc & t roll was amazing as well and very fresh. Unfortunately, we found a fish bone in the volcano roll, but our waitress and the manager took care of us and made sure that we were satisfied for the rest of the meal. The service and food were overall very good we will be back for another visit.

Too many concepts are combined & everything is good but not memorable. I have mixed feelings about the service but that is probably because everything took ages and they were understaffed. I’ll give it another try in a few months.

Ok were going for the gold here. First there is outdoor seating, next an excellent selection of beers on tap, great menu, incredible.depth.(Its hard to imagine they will be able to maintain it for long), and a nice location on central for people watching. The food is excellent, I played on both sides of the kitchen and couldn’t find a flaw. Flavor profiles were unique, perhaps too unique, but overall it was excellent. After dinner we moved inside to play some pool. Great idea, putting in some pool tables for this venue, but play, and after looking around for a few minutes I was struck by the split personalities of this restaurant. Go back to the menu… sushi and great bar food… pool tables… now look at the interior… hmm. yeah I’m confused. Oh well ill just sit outside, drink a great beer, have some tapas and sushi and be quiet…

We went in here a couple weeks ago and from our experience, we’ll definitely give them another try. Our server, Allison, was very friendly and provided great service. We only ordered two rolls, and a Tuna/Avocado salad since were having a late lunch and had an early dinner reservation coming up soon elsewhere. The CC&T roll was very good. Medium spicy with real snow crab salad on top. Pretty in Pink roll was also good. It was mild, and the salmon quality was fine for a roll but would have been disappointing as a sashimi order. It just didn’t seem to be anywhere near sashimi grade salmon, so I’m really not sure I’ll be trying their sashimi. The Tuna and Avocado Salad was also good, but even though we like ginger, we thought it had just a little too much ginger. This salad reminded us of a poorly executed Hawaiian Poke. It was good, but it certainly wasn’t Poke from the Big Island! They did make one mistake during our visit and brought us the wrong roll, but it was fixed quickly, with a smile and an apology, so this is actually a positive and not a negative comment. We’ll be back!

TOOCOOLFORITSOWNGOOD = Sushi, pool table, Cocktail Bar, American Fare, Tapas cuisine… The Lure is an example of a restaurant trying to do it all then coming up short in several areas. I think it’s trying to be a combination of all the good parts of Central Ave. I wanna like it… but perhaps only to play Pool while getting decent drinks. I hope they scale down the menu and focus on things they do best. COOLLITTLEQUIRKSFORQUICKATTRACTION = Their Kwai Chang Tacos will keep people talking – Grasshoppers Breaded and Fried beyond recognition.(It’s rare to find any place serving bugs in the Bay). Plus the cool murals and the open-air, door-less ease of walking in and out to view the Pool Tables can be pretty fetching. BUTFORLONG-TERMGUESTS = The Kwai Chang Tacos were interesting however the flour Tortilla was so stiff and stale – THAT was the Fear Factor aspect(not the grasshoppers). Unlimited Mimosas on early Saturdays was cool but one bartender did a mere splash of Champagne over the OJ while the very next one was a total opposite. The Voodoo Chips(Spicy Tuna on Wonton Chips) was beautifully plated and tasted great however anything else ‘Sushi-related’ was stale, loose, and every sauce on earth thrown into the mix. The three servers we had contact with all appeared disinterested and difficult to flag down.

THELURE, FORTHEFISH, IS A DEADEND! My husband ordered off the Sunday brunch menu and got his food relatively quickly. Said it was ok. I ordered what I thought was gonna be sushi. It took 30 minutes and what I got, the ‘Taste the Rainbow’ roll, may have had a bit of salmon on it but the rest tasted like tilapia strips. Yech. I s’ pose for pool and brews some might like the place, but it offers more to the tat ambience across the street than to the epicure.

I have to admit that I was underwhelmed with the Lure. This was our first time attempting to eat here. To the food. We had the godfather flatbread, the fergie hummus platter, a sushi roll and the edamame. The husbeast had the sushi and enjoyed it. The edamame was dry(maybe overcooked?). The flatbread was okay but more crackery of a crust. The hummus was truly flavorless. I loved the wonton crisps that came with it and the tomato slices were a nice touch vs cucumber. Pro tips: the sushi is where it’s at(hence the name: Lure). Street parking. Billiards. They accept reservations. Flatbread purchase = donation to a local charity. Cons: large menu. Tapas are larger than I expected.

I looked this up on Unilocal after getting out of the Dali museum. They had quite an eclectic menu and I had wanted to try a little bit of everything. I ended up deciding on the Godfather flatbread, sashimi appetizer and one of their rolls. I had forgotten the name but it had salmon, cream cheese and was fried. Everything was terrific! The service was excellent as well! I couldn’t believe how fresh the sashimi was. The cheese on the flatbread was just the right amount and was slightly crispy with the baby shrimp seasoned to perfection. I admire the décor and the pool tables.

Today went in at 4pm and was told they do not accept pets. Strange when last week the two tables closest to outside there were pets! Decide who you want to be your guest! We have gone there at least 7 times and I will not be back! Food is great! Atmosphere awesome! Front desk, first impression, horrible!!!

The food here is unquestionably delicious. I mean: yes ma’am! You can certainly hop on the good foot & do the bad thing at this fine establishment. We ordered a mess of tapas & every single one was a hit. Bravo, ladies!

We had a nice time here. The space is great. Lots of seating available. I only saw two pool tables though, not sure if you would really call this a pool hall? They have happy hour specials from 4−7PM on their tacos, flat breads, draft beers, some wines and house pours. Our group went a bit crazy with the food orders because we wanted to try everything. My Funky Cold Medina vodka cocktail was refreshing. Food was ok. Nothing really stood out. The Donald tacos, to me, were cold, flavorless and chewy. I liked the Fig and the Pig and the Casita flat breads. Lots of nice flavor combos. Did not care for The Hanger flat bread. Voodoo chips were good. Received four chips piled high with the the seafood mixture. The Bacon-8-Her roll was interesting and good. Eel Man roll was nice and fresh. My friend enjoyed her lobster mac and cheese. Service was excellent. We had plates cleared and food brought at a good pace. Our server, Alyssa, came and checked on us multiple times and refilled any drinks. Also had what appeared to be a manager come by and ask if I needed another cocktail when she saw my drink was empty. Place was moderately packed during happy hour. Nice place to come and meet friends.

Tried out this new place on Central last week on Thursday. It was not packed, but pretty full. We got seated right away. Everyone was friendly. They have a nice sized bar area, 3 pool tables and lots of seating. The menu is a mix of tapas and sushi. We tried the gorgonzola tots, nice and crispy. My brother got the 3 meatballs and liked them. I got a sushi roll with fried scallop, different and tasty. The rolls were different than I’ve heard of at other places. I would go back. They have flatbreads too and they are created by local chefs and $$ is donated to the charity of the chef’s choice when ordered — I like that. The beer selection was good too and there were interesting cocktails too. Enjoy!

Another great addition to the Central Ave., Gastro seen. The Lure has a very fun friendly and trendy environment. Food wise, they offer an extensive menu. Lots of sushi options as well as other appetizers and entrées. Who couldn’t pass up the Donald? No not the Trump. The Donald is a delicious duck taco– it makes perfect sense. I thoroughly enjoyed the sushi and the Donald. And I plan to return.

Came at around 9 pm with friends. Place was kind of empty for a Saturday night. We had a tapas and flat bread. I had the scallop tapas that was cooked to perfection. However, i was not a fan of the sweet potato mash. My friends had the fig and the pig flat bread which was fantastic. Although our server was nice and helpful he was not that good. He was not to be found when i wanted to ask about the wine nor did he come and ask us how our food was. Maybe it’s better to sit at the the bar this time of night. I’ll probably be back. Maybe for lunch since it’s not that cheap

Really was excited to try this place out as I have seen it Coke together over the past couple of months. Walked in and the décor and set up was really neat and new to st. Pete. We came here for dinner and ordered some appetizers, sushi, and a flatbread. The tuna tataki was really good. I got the sushi it was pretty good, one piece of salmon was a little slimy and didn’t taste right but that’s my only complaint with the food. Overall it was delicious. The only thing my friends and I noticed that because of the brick walls it was very loud and hard to hear each other. Really neat atmosphere. I noticed they had pool tables too.
