Good wings, burgers, and weekly specials. Try the waffle fries. Also try the Double Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger but you will probably want to split this with someone. The beef they use is high-quality and well-seasoned. They also have a great beer selection.

The first visit here was awesome! Hand cut fries & great burger. Visit number two was disappointing as I took friends from Texas. My burger was overcooked and the food was just ok. Went again last night, ordered my burger RARE and got it medium with little flavor. Thinking those fries came from Sysco or USFoods out of a bag and if not they really messed them up, a little cold and soggy. My daughters’ potato chip nachos were good but sour cream and bacon were missing. I understand running out of something on a busy night, but let the customer know. No longer on my go to places. The service was excellent however.

we heard about this place from the guys that took us parasailing. he recommended this place — said its a must see. we came in — the bartender was real nice and took care of us. the philly cheesesteak with the whiz was pretty good. the huge burger that’s sandwiched between two bacon grilled cheese sandwiches was actually better than we expected. the fries were absolutely delicious and we really liked the warm pita bread with hummus and greek dip. definitely a small place with a lot of character and delicious food.

Small and awesome The HOT wings here were some of the best I’ve ever had, a unique chili hot sauce with a great kick, no lie AMAZING wings The double grilled cheese bacon burger was AWESOME ! I thought it might taste like over done stone food, BUTNO, tj quality and depth of the taste really does it, not to Mention the prices are spot on for the great quality. It’s a tiny little spot, owner is real cool

The Burg Bar & Grill had what looked to be a great selection. However, it seemed to be one of those places where if you don’t order a burger, you may leave slightly disappointed, even though the menu is full of options. The server we had was outstanding. The food took a bit of time to come out, but she was very accommodating.

Small but inviting venue for great burgers and steak sandwiches. They are known for their award winning burgers and for good reason! Check the board when you walk in for specials or new burger concoctions. If a burger is too heavy, try the spanakopita and Greek salad. They do a great job with it, just the right mix Of cheese and crispness. They have a great rotation of local brews on draught. Also, check the back wall for their various bottle and can rotations. Very friendly, casual hangout, reasonable prices and large portions with quick friendly service.

This spot is the craft burger and brew experience you have been looking for. Burgers do not fit the typical restaurant style patty. They are very creative in their toppings and mixing of spices. I ordered the«The Burg» Gyro Feta Burger that comes with fries. This burger will satisfy your taste buds and leave your belly begging for mercy as you try to finish the last few bites. If you don’t like tziiki sauce, Feta cheese, or gyro meat, I wouldn’t recommend this burger. My friend ordered the Black and Blue Burger(for the second time) and enjoyed it(again). This burger is served with Bleu cheese and bacon. The craft beer always seems to change every time I go, which to me is a good thing. I like to mix it up every now and then. Great place to go before or after a Rays game!

Second time going and it was amazing once again. First time I went service atmosphere and food was excellent. Second time I called in and the server was helpful and not as aggravated with me like other food servers might be because of the way I order food it takes me a long time to order food. Easy call in easy pick up.

Gotta love the bartenders — attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for a wide beer selection, craft and bottle, you’ll like this place. And they have a more than decent food menu. They make upscale seem casual. And the best part, no smoking!

My husband and I visit The Burg often and love the local, familiar feel that it offers along with delicious food. The falafel wrap and hand cut fries are as authentic and homemade as they come. The hubs goes back and forth between the Cuban and the burger but the Cuban is definitely outstanding. Great beers on tap and a good variety of wine. Outside seating is dog friendly, indoors is cozy.

Love love love this place!!! Great place to go to have a beer and burger with friends. I’ve also gotten great service from the waitresses who work here. There’s a very happy vibe at this place and I love it. They’ve got a great Cuban, great wings, and my personal favorite is their Double Grilled cheese bacon burger!!!

There are other raves on this site for the fish taco, but mine consisted of grilled not fried mahi mahi, nice but without much flavor. The chunky cole slaw didn’t help matters much; it too lacked flavor. Lettuce was bedraggled, no onions, no cilantro, no tomatoes, no hint of lime, but oddly enough, a large melted slab of cheese adhering to the bottom of the untoasted corn tortilla, which added calories but no flavor or even creaminess. There seemed to be a tiny squirt of guacamole at one end, placed there for sentimental rather than culinary purposes, because there was such a tiny amount. I asked for tartar sauce out of desperation and they charged me $.50. This is a lesson to me. In a burger joint, don’t order a seafood specialty.

The problem is their version of what constitutes the temperature of a burger. Their medium burger is rare, the medium well is just barely medium and I’ve never ordered a well done burger. I’d put money on their burger actual temperatures not matching conventionally prescribed temperatures for rare, medium, well done etc. And you can’t send a burger back, you just can’t so be careful how you order your burger. Otherwise good service, and generally good food.

You know that place people always talk about? That«hole in the wall» that they claim has«the BEST burger!»? Yeah, well, that may seem like hyperbole 9 times out of 10, but The Burg may very well be the exception. We arrived at around half past 7 and the place — tiny, but intentionally so, totally heightening the charm and atmosphere(for it to have been any bigger would have utterly killed the mood) — was pretty packed. As if they were awaiting our arrival, however, there was a perfect place just waiting for us near the door — but not too near, otherwise we’d likely catch our death of cold. A table for three. How convenient! We were greeted by a super friendly waitress who fit the kind of contemporary casual hipster aesthetic — very fitting for an artsy place like St. Pete — the Burg oozes, and she took our order, answering my questions(me being the only one who’d never experienced The Burg before) without a trace of irritability, which I appreciate. Our food got to us nearly as soon as we’d ordered, but with enough space in between to allow us some happy conversation while we waited. And man, if I thought the cozy atmosphere or the professional service was something to talk up, the food… The food speaks louder than everything combined. I ordered just a basic 8 oz burger which, at first glance, seemed a tad small. On the bright side, the bun was massive(maybe that’s why the patty itself seemed so small?) and fluffy and delicious, stacked with all of the usual toppings. And biting into that juicy, delicious Burg burger(sorry) was what I can only describe as: an experience. Best burger I’ve ever had? Very possibly so. They even offer sweet potato fries, which I vastly prefer over traditional fries and very much appreciate them for including on the menu, and… Wow. Cooked to perfection. Crisp, delicate, just the right balance of sweet and salty — and plentiful, too, to the point where I was able to share my crumbly, delicious, little angels with my friends instead of being the food Scrooge I usually am; and they loved it! Even with the $ 2 substitution charge, they agreed it was totally worth the extra cost. So. GOOD. Overall, 5STARS! Cute interior. Solid service. Amazing food. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve only been here twice, the first time had me hooked, so I’m back. This can’t be much of a review, as I’ve ordered the Greek burger both times, unexpectedly good. The staff as always been attentive and polite…

For a small place… this is freaking awesome! Great brews, awesome food, and equal service. My entire family had the«gut busting» double grilled cheese bacon burger. I washed it down with a local brew from 3 daughters, but they had a large list of good craft brews on tap. Don’t be turned off if you prefer healthier food, they offer salads and some good sandwiches. Overall this was a cool little joint that I will visit again when shopping at the Brocante Market.

We came at the end of the busy time but we were seated immediately so we assumed they could handle the crowd. WRONG! We ordered right away, got our drinks right away, and that was the end of the good service. We proceeded to watch other patrons come in and get served while we were ignored. Eventually someone refilled my long-empty iced tea. No one ever spoke to us about how long our food was taking until I asked. After mentioning that one of our party was suffering low blood sugar we were brought a basket of potato chips. We did eventually get our food. The burger was lukewarm but good. The other food was hot and good. No apologies were ever made for the very long wait. Only excuses. Note to servers: apologies for delays go a LONGWAY!

We’re on our way out of town and to say we saved the best place for last is an understatement! This place is A-MAZ-ING!!! If you go, try to get there before the end of the month(November) to try the Burger-of-the-Month. Seriously the best burger I’ve ever had in my life! Turkey burger with cranberry spread, buttermilk fried onion straws, cheese, bacon and fried sage — all with a side of sweet potato fries with a hint of sweetness from the marshmallow glaze! The beer menu is extensive too! Don’t pass up a chance to check out this place!!!

So glad I found this place. Chill little restaurant/bar that has some freaking amazing food. Being in outside sales its nice to find a place like this that I can go grab a great lunch and get some things done. I met my girlfriend here for lunch and we got the hummus to start wich was pretty good. The burger though… Wow! One of the best I have had. I got the Gyro Feta Burger and could not stop thinking about this thing for days! My girlfriend really enjoyed hers as well. I have not been in for drinks yet but it seems like a great place to go with buddies or date night. Plenty of street parking infront and across the street. Will most definitely be returning very soon!

We stopped in here for lunch the other day and I’m glad we did. This place is a small and cute bar with some pretty some food. We were kind of torn on greek or american food that day so this place worked out perfect! During lunch they have half off appetizers so we went ahead with some hummus. Not too bad for $ 2, but at the same time nothing too special. We both actually ended up ordering the Gyro Burger. This thing was amazing! Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had. It’s a burger topped with gyro meat, feta, onions and tzaziki sauce. If you haven’t been here I highly recommend you check this little place out!

After tossing around a few places to go for dinner, we finally decided to check out The Burg. I heard from several of my friends how good the food was and since mama waned to go to first Friday so we could meet up with a friend later, The Burg it was… To say this place is small is an understatement but it is quite charming. You have an L shaped bar and a few tables inside and some patio tables out front which is nice. It reminded me of a little bar in Pittsburgh that I had been to about 25 years ago only smaller. We sat at the bar and the server the two young ladies helping us were very nice. They let my wife sample a couple of the beers so she could make up her mind and were very good as selling the menu. After a bit of indecision on MY part, we decided on the Jerk Chicken and chips for mama and the Gyro and chips with a bowl of the Lemon Chicken soup. About 20 minutes later the burger and Gyro showed up but they forgot my soup. The Gyro was very good and the Tzatziki was made OLDSCHOOL with yogurt and NOT sour cream. FINALLY a place that stands by tradition. My wife’s jerk chicken sandwich was excellent. The jerk blend was not too sweet and not too much kick. It had a nice balance of sweet and hot. The chips were homemade and nice and crunchy but best of all they were not over salted. One of the servers came to check on us and I let her know about the soup. She apologized for the error and said she would bring me a bowl on the house to make up for it. A few minutes later my soup arrives and OMG was it good. The last time I had Avgolemeno this good was when I was in High School. A good friend was from Greece and his mom did not speak any English but she could cook some incredible food! This soup was on par with hers and I really savored every spoonful. I wanted to try the homemade Baklava but mama was not well and they had run out so that was a bit of a let down because I was already told how good it was by several others. After finishing up, we requested the bill and to my surprise, she did not remove the soup as she said she would. I never said a word and just paid the bill but when you tell a customer you are going to do something, you should follow through on your word. Atmosphere — 4 Presentation — 3 Service — 3 Jerk Chicken — 4 Gyro — 4 Avgolemeno — 5 Chips — 4 I can see why this place is popular with the locals and I will definitely be back to try the Baklava. Some of the other items from the menu being served passed by us and everything looked and smelled wonderful so I look forward to future trips here when I am in town…

Great place, wonderful owner, great food and a good beer selection. They have really good Greek food, I think they are the owners mom’s recipes. The lemon orzo soup so awesome. It’s a small place but there is some outdoor seating. Definitely a place I’ll continue go to and try some other items.

Back at «The Burg» for some amazing eats! This is the place to go to start your weekend off right. Best selections include their signature dishes: The Burg and the Double Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger. St Pete dining at its best! Come hungry because you’ll never leave empty! By the way, some of the best bottle selections this side of Cigar City. Check it out. #theburg

I was so excited to try The Burg, and left disappointed. If you’re known for your burgers, and apparently, they are, then the burger should be fantastic. Unfortunately for The Burg, there are a few better burger places all in the same vicinity. That’s not to say the rest of the menu isn’t good — it might be, and given the location and reviews, I may try again in the future — but the burger just wasn’t up to par with Engine No. 9 or The Avenue. Came on a Monday night, and to their credit, they were packed. Granted, its a small place and it was $ 5 burger night, but its always surprising to find a full restaurant on a Monday. We sat outside and were impressed with the service even though the bartender was serving the bar and all the tables by herself(someone else brought out the food, but she was taking all the food and drink orders and obviously making all the drinks). I ordered their«award winning» something burger — don’t recall the name, but it was their burger on 2 bacon grilled cheese sandwiches instead of a bun. Basically, your standard heart attack sandwich with a side of artery clogging cholesterol. Or, as those of us pigs would say, your basic helping of heaven. A burger like that should be fantastic,. If I am going to die from what I ate, then it should be one of the best things I have eaten, but I wasn’t happy. The burger itself didn’t have much flavor. I will grant you that with 2 bacon grilled cheese sandwiches, the flavor might have been a bit overwhelmed, but the bacon grilled cheese also didn’t have much flavor. In the end, all I was really tasting was the bread. The fries were good, but after eating 2 sandwiches with a burger in between, I just didn’t have it in me to finish them. There are other things on this menu I want to try, so I am sure I’ll be back at some point, but I’ll go elsewhere for my burgers.

Every town/city needs this place! Awesome bottle beer selection, surprisingly international menu to a hole in the wall bar with tables. Next time I will be trying the arepas. It’s like the Cheers of St. Pete with better food! Many regulars who create their own menu items but they’ll allow the newbies to do the same! I have been back. I tried the arepas and I would stay clear. I have had better in football stadiums. I ordered a beer and the wrong one was served to me. I asked the bartender and she said it was the right one but IPA and citrus ales are quite different. Each time I was there very unfriendly people came out of the kitchen and took up bar stools, which is a bit off putting. Not high on my list to return although I can imagine I will at some point!

I really like The Burg! We’ve been here twice; both times before Ray’s games. It’s a smaller establishment, so plan accordingly. Both times we were able to get a table and it filled up shortly after. There is seating outdoors. The beer selection here is amazing. They have a ton of beers. That alone is a good reason to stop by. Their list is expansive; micros all the way to PBR tallboys. This place got my wife and I hooked on Tzatziki. They make their own and damn is it good. I’ve gone the sandwich route both times: Hot Italian and the Cuban. Both delicious… both resulted in no leftovers. The service here is very good. The first time we came, the owner’s son was taking care of things and was very social with everyone; a really friendly guy. The second time they had a bartender and a waitress running the front of the house. Despite it being busy, they were on their game and smiling. Food came out on time, drinks were refilled; they did great. I like this place because it’s really feels like a local joint. It’s basic on the inside, the service is good, they have a great beer selection and they can really really cook. We’ll be back again for sure.
