LOVE THIS PLACE! I go there every weekend and their breakfasts are the best in town. Forget IHOP and McDonald’s, this is one of those old-​fashioned family run diners that cater to their customers and treat them like old friends. The waitresses there can’t be any better! They are super nice, fast and make everyone they wait on feel special. The food is fantastic and very inexpensive for what you get. I usually get the HE-​MAN breakfast and it has enough food for two people! The owners are usually there and are hands-​on as far as looking out for customers. They always seat you right away and even if they are crowded, they manage a very short waiting time for a table. Everyone there always has a warm smile and it feels like you are eating at a friend’s house. The waitresses constantly find out if you need anything else — you get your check right away and they always have someone at the desk to pay your bill. WONDERFUL addition to St. Pete. So glad they are there. Worth a trip there if you do not live in that area. 5 STARS! If i could give them 6, I would just for customer service alone.

Oh my god lol just terrible. Played it safe and got the chicken fingers, fries, and coleslaw. Also got onion rings for me and my mother to share. Chicken fingers were soooooo bland coleslaw was very soupy. Even the ranch was bland i don’t get how you can mess up ranch. Decent prices but you get what you pay for. Our server was very sweet and nice but the food was just terrible. I got sick 20 minutes after I ate it! Won’t be back it’s just not worth it.

Do yourself a favor and go to McDonalds or IHOP instead! My Eggs Benedict were a scary mess and the home fries were tasteless and dry. I asked my breakfast companions what they thought of their breakfasts and they were not happy either. Maybe the kitchen was having an off day.

Wonderful home style menu. Great food, awesome food. We are new here and this was a nice experience. Also, several people from our community came in as we were leaving. .gotta be good! !

Small group got to gether from our church on 5^th ave. N. Thought we take ride 34^th south. Wow everything was fast great service lots smiles the food was piping hot. AWESOME we all had (SKYWAY SPECIAL). 2 eggs. short stack French toast or pancakes 1 choice ham.bacon.sausage link or Patty. $ 7.59 there wasn’t a crum left they do serve lunch. Oh it also family run we and all our friends church can’t wait go back

This is a great spot for a good old fashioned breakfast (and/​or hangover food:)). Incredibly friendly staff. Eggs and bacon cooked perfectly. Go here. Nuff said.

We decided to give the Skyway Diner a try based on a neighbor’s recommendation. I’m glad we went. The place occupies a former Denny’s. The décor is tired and worn but don’t let that dissuade you. The food is terrific and the portions generous. The menu features typical diner fare made fresh to order. The country-​fried steak was incredibly tender and coated in a light, crispy batter. The mashed potatoes were homemade. All in all, a great experience. We will be back. The hours vary so check to see if they’re open before you go.

After just moving to the Saint Petersburg area, my husband and I stopped in to grab some lunch. My initial reaction was «are you sure you want to eat here», but as we walked in the hostess was pleasant the servers where all very nice and the food was quick and the servings where huge!
It is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great family friendly environment. The plate size is well worth the money. And the owners really strive for a great customer experience.
I now work there, and it was due to my initial dining experience that made me want to work here. I get to meet so many of the locals and we have a great group of repeat customers, word of mouth customers and people who are coming for the first time since the new ownership and as the hostess I can say that I hear great feedback everyday from our customers. There motto in my eyes should be «your more then just a customer, Your family» because that’s how we treat Everyone!!!

If you want traditional hearty American breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes) this could be a good option. Is it memorable? Not really. Don’t really care to go back due to all the other great breakfast places around that have left more of an impression.

Good food comes out fast! The wait staff is always nice and courteous. The Heman breakfast is more than enough for 2 people. The food is priced right and is affordable. It’s a great spot for families.

We had such a pleasant lunch. Constance was a great server, very attentive. The food was delicious. The chicken salad bacon club was huge. The Skyway Burger was big and perfectly cooked. We will return soon.

Just had dinner at this diner. They’ve only been open since March and a true secret. They’re only open until 8:00 pm but maybe that will change if they get enough of a demand. Food was great. I had the patty melt and it was done to perfection. My son had the Philadelphia cheese steak wrap and said it was excellent. Fries are good. Even the potato chips were great. Eat here if you are hungry for good food.

My husband and I love the Skyway Diner! We are so glad there is finally an alternative to fast food. The servers are spectacular! You feel like family here, the «Cheers» of South St. Pete, without the beer.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast. We really enjoyed it. Food was wonderful. Service was on point. All the servers were friendly and accommodating.
True diner mentality. Food comes out very quickly and very large portions.
Always nice when the manager (maybe owner) stops by and assists with refilling drinks to help out the server.

My wife and 2 kids went for breakfast and everything was really delicious. I got the country eggs Benedict and my wife got the traditional eggs Benedict and our eggs were poached perfectly. We can’t wait to go again.

It’s like dennys but better. Service staff was excellent food was perfect, everyone had smiles. menu is huge. Can’t wait to go back!

It definitely beats going to Waffle House or hole in the wall places. The food was decent. I would go again.

I come jere regularly on Sundays. Great breakfast but I wish they had a fruit option instead of just the carb overload of either grits or home fries.
Wait staff are all wonderful and attentive with a smile and humor.
I ordered a burger today that claims 1\2 lb. But I think they mean bun, condiments and all. My only complaint was that I asked for my burger medium to medium rare and got very well done & dry. Fries were very well done too. Other than that, I like the place and wish they weren’t closed at 3pm daily. Worth checking out.

This is a former Dennys location, they have Grand Opening signs out front. I found out they’ve only been open since March 30^th. it’s pretty big for a new Diner, so I hope they make it! I ordered the Western Omlette with cheese for $ 7.49. Coffee is $ 1.65. I always order my potatoes well done but rarely do restaurants honor that request. My omlette & home fries were cooked to perfection! I wish they had a breakfast that included eggs & pancakes, you have to order them seperately. The staff was friendly & professional! The only negatives… a server brought her kid to work with her, that’s very unprofessional, I can only hope her babysitter canceled at the last minute… also, they’re only open till 3PM daily. I hope they plan to have dinner hours in the future…
