I ordered the Panang Curry with Tofu to go. It was relatively slow and no one else was there. The service and atmosphere was good. My curry ended up being more of a stri fry with no sauce and made the meal completely dry on a bed of white rice. I ended up having to add my own teriyaki sauce when I was at home. Disappointing as I was excited for a fast food option for thai food.

I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and my boyfriend ordered beef and shrimp Pad Thai… Very little meat and an overwhelming taste of sour and burnt. Not sure we’ll be back, there are to many authentic REAL Thai places around.

Nope. They actually don’t have Thai food. Was kinda like«Uncle Bubba cooks Asian» fare. Go to a Thai restaurant. There are plenty of them around.

Food is good, flavorful, and cheap. The thai tea is wonderful. Have yet to try boba but will in the future.

I’m not sure what all the complaints come from, especially about the food quality. I’ve eaten here 4 – 5 times now, loved it every time. I think like all small food service places good help is hard to find for servers/cashiers, but the kitchen is on point and all the workers have always been polite to me, and food is ready pretty quickly too unless you are behind a big group. Not sure if the new hi-tech ordering screens are necessary, I found it way more cumbersome than helpful. Try the banana dessert!

This was my 2nd time visiting JustThai and I felt like it warranted a review this time. The first visit was exceptional, I was very impressed with the quickness and impressed with how close the flavor was to authentic Thai. Both times I took advantage of the $ 5.95 Pad Thai Tuesday deal which comes in a very generous portion. Both times there was way too much liquid at the bottom of my plate. The first time it didn’t bother me as much because I figured they just put too much sauce. The second time however it was way too much«liquid» that I wouldn’t even call sauce because it was the consistency of water. Also the second time my food came with shreds of charred wok and I had to pick through my entire dish. My husband picked the JusThai Chicken fried rice both times and was equally disappointed with the flavor of burnt and crispy fried rice. The 2nd visit we returned the rice and was made a fresh new dish, but to me it still tasted burnt. The last item we tried was the Thai Rolls. Husband liked them, however as a crazy Thai Food Lover, they tasted like previously frozen, bought from a store. No authenticity at all. Lastly; the a Atmosphere is very modern as previous Unilocalers have mentioned. The trays they brought the food out on were really dirty and looked like they get overlooked during prep work and closing duties. When it came to the charred pieces of wok in my Pad Thai, the owner was very nice and even gave me a free meal. He was shocked that it was there and immediately brought his team together to address the issue, and started cleaning all the woks right away. We will probably be back because it’s fast service, however it won’t be my first pick for Thai food.

Kinda disappointed. Was expecting a cultural Thai food since the name is JusThai. Customer service is good, but the food on the other end was really not as good. I ordered the Bangkok Beef, the beef was tough, i guess they were trying to make it crispy but they failed, the dish was soggy because of the runny sauce, like it was half filled with sauce might as well call soup. The fried rice was good but the fact that there was too much sauce, it ruined the whole dish.

I’ll give this place a 5 for customer service. On the presentation also a 5. Very modern, chill, bright and décor is nice. The food is healthy and decent. We had the beef and broccoli. It definitely tastes«healthier» than the local China wok to go. Very nice bowl quantities, we ended up full pretty fast which works great for me! I usually look for a joint that’s a little more authentic thai but this place was made to be a little more geared towards an americanized joint which is cool too. I’d still go back again to try another dish. :-) Oh yeah… owner was very nice.

The price is pretty average for average Thai food. I could pay a dollar more and get an authentic pad Thai at a place downtown. The food wasn’t bad. Don’t spring for their banana dessert, not worth it. The Thai tea isn’t the best I’ve had but it’s not the worst. I’d order it again. We ate inside and the radio was off most of the time. When they did turn on Pandora it was the free version on a girls phone and she got a call :-p

My husband and I have been regulars since it opened. It’s our favorite Thai restaurant! Last time we went in they had just introduced the mochi ice cream. I said something quietly to my husband about being curious to try it and when we got our take out, there was a sample in there! We’ve never had a bad experience and we highly recommend it!!!

I visited this place once and I don’t know if I’ll go back. The three guys working there were pretty rude, especially the guys cooking the food. The one who was running the front just told me to use the computer to order but wasn’t really nice about it. I walked in and didn’t know how the whole ordering food thing worked so I stood there for a second just checking the menu out and the cooks said«oh wow that was awkward.» when I was finalordering. Yeah pretty freaking rude if you ask me. I bought the large rice bowl for 11 or 12 dollars and it smelled burnt from being cooked on the stove and had burnt pieces in it.

Great place to grab quick Thai food. I love the kiosk based order system. The food was great and the service is quick. Parking can be a problem at peak lunch time etc.

As I parked my vehicle, I saw the staff of this empty restaurant scatter in anticipation of getting caught eating the profits. I just wanted some Thai food. Alas, I ordered what I thought would be Thai food and I was not served Thai food.

Not sure if I can say anything other than what’s already been said. We pulled up to a parking lot that had three cars. There were three employees present. Uh oh. The only other client there was leaving with a take out bag and we had come to dine in. Uh oh. I do not understand the reasoning behind blasting 90’s shit rock at a dining establishment. Especially one trying to go for a Thai vibe. I say trying because they don’t actually achieve any Thai vibe. Inside it looks like an Evos except with flies ad you’re immediately wishing you were in Evos instead. The food was ok. If downtown St. Pete sinks into the middle of the earth and takes its Thai restaurants with it… Sure. Give this place a try. But get take out.

Awful. Just awful. The Thai tea was so watered down. It is hard to really mess up Thai tea. I have had great and not so great ones and I have had some pretty bad ones. I will still drink the bad ones, though. Not this tea, I actually dumped it out. Sadly, it was not just the tea that was so bad. My friends and I ordered 6 different entrees and several appetizers. Every single item we ordered was so bland, tasteless, like the tea. Do not waste your money. The people giving higher than 3 star reviews must work for the chain. Even a 2 star review for this place befuddles me.

Maybe it was my particular set of circumstances that led me to rate 4 stars on Just Thai. but bear with me on this one. 1) Speed of Service: I was really, really hungry! By the time I sipped my Thai tea with cream and sat down, the cashier brought the food to my table. Had I been at a Thai restaurant, I would’ve been waiting for at least 20 – 30 minutes(thus, gnawing on my own arm). The Thai tea was a bit overloaded with cream, but it was refreshing nonetheless. 2) The Food: What the shrimp spring rolls lacked in presentation, was made up for with freshness. I love the cilantro and mint, but this was the first time I’ve seen rice vermicelli in the recipe. The chicken pad Thai was great for a lightning quick dinner, but didn’t have the spicy kick that typical Thai restaurants offer. I only had one issue with this restaurant. the price. I had Thai tea, shrimp spring rolls, and chicken pad Thai. It came up to $ 18. I would’ve liked to have the option of a half-sized entrée and to tip with plastic. Other than that, if you’re in the mood for a quick Thai place, you’ll be fine here!

So I wanted Thai and my daughter said you should try Just Thai since it is new. .. mistake, should have stayed with my tried and true Siam Garden just a few blocks over. As others have mentioned and I agree with the parking lot situation stinks, there is no ambiance, the food is over priced and it is meh. I got the shrimp pad thai and chicken penang curry with jasmine rice. I had a choice of brown rice, jasmine rice or friend rice — not sure if there was an upcharge for different rice choices. The pad thai was better than the curry. The curry did not have near enough sauce or flavor. Will not go again.

I’m still a little confused by my visit to Just Thai. I honestly can not determine if I liked it or not. It will require a return visit, but I am not sure that will happen anytime soon. Here is the breakdown of my initial visit. I ordered the Thai Chicken with noodles instead of rice. I should also note that I am a huge fan of Thai food. –Tiny and difficult to navigate parking lot. I had to reverse and go back to find a parking spot at the back of the building. –This ISNOTREALLYTHAI at least not based off of the«Thai Chicken» I ordered. Maybe they could stretch it to «American Thai». –Expensive. $ 9 for Thai Chicken by itself. I can get twice the amount of food for a dollar or two less and more flavor at my local Thai spot. I wanted to try the dumplings too, but couldn’t bring myself to pay an extra $ 6 for 4 dumplings. –Oversauced. I like my food saucy. I am the condiment queen. Yet, the Thai Chicken was SO covered in sweet sauce that I had a hard time eating it. –Confusing. I heard there were computers to order from before arriving. I didn’t see them. I ordered from a nice young gentleman at a cash register. Then, we weren’t sure where to go. There is a condiment station that is poorly placed in the middle of the floor. Do we go to the back of that? Sit in the dining room? No clue. I followed the lady in front of me and we watched our meals prepared from behind the glass on the back of the condiment station. We were then moved away by an employee that apologized because she was supposed to be standing there and bagging the orders as they came out. ?? Weird. –Cool: I love that you can see your meals being prepared in the large woks behind the glass. There were LOTS of employees back there cranking out the meals in several woks. Like I said, reserving my final opinion until I try them at least one more time. At this point in time I am a little apprehensive to return, but I will eventually. For now, 3 stars and lots of confusion.

First time visit — really excited. We ordered on the computers — which we loved. we gout tickets and sat down. No one brought us drinks, gave us cups, or greeted us or said anything to us. After a while of sitting there wondering how we get a drink, we went up and had to ask someone about it. A little confusing. This things are easily worked out and not a really big deal. The big deal was the rotten salads that My wife and I received. it was absolutely awful. I don’t know how anyone preparing a salad dish wouldn’t notice how nasty it was. The Pat thai was really salty — no way this was healthy at all. Vary disappointing.

This is one of those places where no matter whether you bash or hate or stare… it’ll still be popular because people will think they’re getting a good deal. Read on. AHTHATLOCATION Located on busy 4th Street there’s almost NO Thai food competition(just a couple further north) and definitely no casual Thai place. Its position near the busiest Publixes in the world and along the route of businesses will keep this place busy. Avoid the building’s personal parking lot(it’s difficult to get back on the road and it’s small) and just park in the nearby plaza’s lot instead. PERSONALSTORY Hungry and tired I was happy to tell my order to a touch screen instead – it was very easy to do and you can also mention if don’t want a certain ingredient. I selected ‘no peanuts’ on my Phad Thai… both my receipt and the order echoed that. I took my to-go order, drove home, and saw my dish covered in Peanuts. Hungry, tired, and mad, I drove back. Luckily they replaced it quickly and I just left but I was still mad at having to drive all that way. HOW’S THEFOOD? Everything’s been a little over-sauced, over-spiced, under-Meat… Thai food for American tastes with definite fast-food hints. The Phad Thai was missing that sour and salty from Tamarinds or Fish Sauce. The JusThai Meat and Sauce was like Chik-Fil-A Nuggets with a Sweet Soy Sauce… not bad and kinda comforting. I hate to compare but when the prices are almost exactly like Thai restaurants up the road I’d recommend just going to those places, getting a take-out, and getting better tasting dishes at the same price.
