My grandmother recently passed away and we weren’t sure who to call, as we were working through hospice. I ended up calling my friend from St. Pete and asked him who he dealt with after the passing of his father. My friend is a lawyer and put his time into finding the best place to deal with his dad. Without hesitation he told me about Gunter Funeral Home.
We had the hospice people call GFH and the owner (Dale) himself was at my grandmother’s condo about a half hour later. We had earlier called one of the beach area funeral homes and they quoted us nearly $ 800 more than Gunter, btw. Dale was so kind and easy to deal with. The people he used for the removal of my Grandmother’s body were extremely professional and even put a nice pillow under my grandmother’s head. My mother liked that.
Dale even told us about any and all prices from everything to the cremation urn to the obituary costs. And never did he try to get us to pay more for unnecessary things, even talking us down on a few things. The final price was well below the other places’ quotes.
