Service 1 star — I went during lunch rush, they were«short handed», let’s just say my ordering process was mangled. Price 4 stars — The price was fair to good, 2 «supreme» slices and a drink for $ 5. Food 2 stars — Heavy handed with the sauce and cheese. Sauce was too sweet for my liking(no tangy-ness). Dough was too, well, doughy(I like a crisp NY style thin crust). On a positive note, the toppings were large and tasted fresh.

Good People, Good Pizza After working like a dog today, I was famished. Pizza was the thing to do. But it was so late. Where would I go? After a bit of Unilocaling I picked Gateway. I managed to slip in the door under the wire. I worked in a pizza place in high school and felt a bit sheepish being«that guy». They were very nice and made me a very nice pizza. They offered me a soda while I was waiting. The pizza had a medium thick crust. Its slightly chewy with a lightly sweet taste. This worked well with the pepperoni sausage green olive toppings. Plenty of cheese too. Yum!

I have visited Gateway Pizza and Pasta Co. many times for lunch. I always pick up a lunch special, or just pizza by the slice. You can get 2 pizza slices(cheese, pepperoni, or house deluxe) and a drink for $ 5.00. Or, 1 slice, a house salad, and a drink for $ 5.00. They also have a daily special(like ziti or chicken parm) for $ 6.00 which includes a garlic knot and salad. The pizza by the slice is pretty good and heated to order. I love the slight buttery taste of the crust. The service here is always great at lunch time. My only complaint is that they do not have the air conditioner running in the afternoons and it is HOT! Who wants to sweat while they eat lunch? I know they are doing it out of necessity to save money, but I think it only stands to draw people away. This place is never really crowded, and I would love to see them remain open for years to come. It is a family owned business and it seems like they really enjoy what they do.

Been to this place many times and found the food consistently tasty. Basic Italian pasta dishes and sandwiches, excellent pizza, and pleasant service make Gateway Pizza a winner. Owner Gary is very friendly, and that attitude trickles down to the rest of the staff. It’s mostly a takeout joint, but there are a few tables and chairs if you really want to eat in. Portions are generous, and the prices are easy on the wallet. We especially like the Chicken Cacciatore($ 8), Baked Ziti($ 8, + $ 2.80 for 2 huge meatballs) and Fettucini Alfredo($ 8.50, + $ 2 with chicken). The garlic knots(rolls) that come with entrees are freshly warmed and spectacularly good. The pizza tastes handcrafted and delicious: a large(14″) with 1 premium and 2 regular toppings currently runs about $ 16($ 10.50 plain) and feeds 2 – 3 people. Their pies are definitely superior to anything made by the big-name chains and some other local mid-priced eateries, This is NOT a high-end Italian eatery, so don’t expect«Il Gabbiano» and you won’t be disappointed. The food here is not five star, but it is competent, tasty, generous, and inexpensive. And the people are extremely nice. You can’t ask for more when you just want some takeout Italian that won’t require a second mortgage.

I feel bad giving this place only 3 stars. The staff is over the top nice. I’ve been here 3 or 4 times now. But the food is just plain bland. If someone asked you where you went to lunch at 3pm you’ll probably have forgotten. The pizza… blah. Sauce has no kick. The pasta dishes are basic. The salad is average at best. The upside to the place is it’s super cheap for lunch. Specials start around $ 5 for lunch w/soda.

Excellent Mom & Pops Pizzeria. The pizza hits the spot everytime and you can really taste that everything is made fresh, and from scratch. The salads are all extremely good and are a nice size portion, large enough to split. My favorite is the Antipasto! The lasagana and homemade meatballs are to die for too. They even have daily lunch specials. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian food. You can’t go wrong!

Friendly family owned business and good service. The people here make you feel wanted and welcome. Pretty good pie served whole or by the slice. A good neighborhood pizza joint

Terrible service. I attempted to eat here 3 times. 0 for 3. Twice I waited 30 minutes for food, once for a hot Italian sub that was served to me cold. I called asking for my money back and they refused unless I BROUGHTTHESANDWHICHBACK. Not kidding.
