If you’re not a smoker, be prepared to do two things upon arriving home. 1) burn your clothes immediately. 2) jump in the shower and scrub yourself. If you’re a female with long hair like myself, be prepared to wash the smoke out of your hair. I had no idea so many people still smoke.(I could use these same comments for an Emerald Bar review. In fact, I just may.) Other than that, it’s a great dive bar. Actually, reaking in smoke might be a prerequisite for a dive bar? They have a great selection of beer(tap & bottle). They recently added liquor. Bonus! I can’t speak to the tunes that are usually played as we’re here for the band gigs. A lot of great rock/punk shows. Check them out! Also for a dive bar, the bathroom situation has never been scary here. I’ve always experienced flushing toilets, toilet paper, fairly clean and usually not more than a one person wait.

I went to Fubar with a friend who’d never been a few days ago. We basically walked in and walked out because the bartender was so incredibly rude. I recently found out I’m allergic to hops(now my insanely death like nausea hangover makes sense) so I mainly drink cider and wine. We walked in and when I asked the bartender if they carried wine she gave me an attitude and walked away. When I went to explain to her why I was asking she yelled at me and was super bitchy and condescending. There’s the Fubar that I remember! Pretentious, rude and completely unwelcoming. I never understood the asshole bartender thing. You work in hospitality. Why would you want to be a jerk and chase away patrons that were going to tip you. Surely your measly lower than min hourly wage cant be the only reason you chose this job. I know bartenders who make 60k a year and up and they are the friendliest bartenders around. In conclusion, this place is definitely a hit or miss. If you walk in and there’s only 2 people in there and its dead quite, there’s a probably a reason for it. Take your business elsewhere and avoid the drama.

I don’t even know what to say, haha. It’s a dive bar(like everyone else has said), and you aren’t always going to get service right away. Drinks should be stronger and then… BAM, you have a dive bar.

Bad music, bad mixing. My 14 yr old brother is more qualified to dj here. Backed up for requests on a Thursday with whitney Houston plus no name pop punk. Get over yourself. This dj sucks ass. It’s one thing to have variety, but he can’t even blend beats.

I love FUBAR! Great music, drinks, and the friendliest bartenders around. They have a great new stage to check out as well. The dive bar I call home!

Now this is a dive bar. It is exactly what I think about when someone says that they want to «make» a dive bar. Some dive bars are designed and some just happen with age and neglect. This one was built this way. And it works. The drinks are reasonable and they have a fair selection. The bartender was fast and helpful. There was no cover and there were three bands who were going to play metal core and garage rock in a short while. What else could you ask for? So why the 3 stars? Well its not comfortable for hanging out when its crowded and your not listening to a band. We were pub crawling and not looking for music. Plus the bans weren’t on yet. Then there is a distinct lack of ventilation and I didn’t see any food. That makes this a pure music venue. I like music but it just seemed like it was shoe horned into this venue. Maybe I will feel different after I catch a show. But for now its a 3 star venue.

Fubar is a great little dive bar that have gone through some changes for the past years. They have a great craft selection, including wine and sake. The staff are usually knowledgable about what they’re serving. Most nights they usually have local acts playing, which is great for the downtown music scene. They do have a growing barcade that is really awesome! We need more pinball! The type of night you have there will usually depend on what you like, because they have different nights through out the week. It is a little smoky in there, but what can you expect? It’s a bar!

i went here on a dubstep night. they have a lot of cool beers, but i’m more of a liquor person. i looked at the bartender with tear-filled eyes as he said«sorry, we only have beer here.» and then he followed it with, «i know. i make that face every time, too.» being a lady, i got in a few free ones before 11. that almost made it okay. the kids there are a mess. everyone was kind of standing around bobbing their heads, or they’d dance their way to the bathrooms or dance for a few seconds before realizing that they might not look cool. hardly anyone actually danced. look, i’m from seattle. we take our dubstep very seriously. we dance — on purpose, in a static location. it was 18 and up, and i got hit on by a few wee ones. the experience was new, though. it’s been a while since i went out. i’d go again… but i’d drink at home first.

I vaguely remember being at this bar. I remember heavily poured rum drinks, a DJ who was mixing Sinatra and James Brown, and dancing to aforementioned music. Or it could have been any bar in that vicinity.

The beer is a fair price, they do decent events, and even though the crowd is scene-ish and hipster-ish, it’s a cool place. Scenesters and hipsters are usually cool friendly people anyway. The downside? Ventilation. It’s smoky, and it never escapes. Every cigarette ever smoked there is still lingering. Right now.
