There are so many parks in Downtown St. Pete that I can’t believe we haven’t been to this park. We were strolling around the Saturday Farmers Market, and decided to take our dog for a walk. We found Demon’s Landing Park, and decided it was a nice clean quiet spot to throw the ball for our dog. It’s a wide open space. Trees are on the sides so not much shaded area, nor benches. It’s still a nice piece of park for your nature walking self, and fun loving dog to enjoy himself too!

4 stars for the view, relaxation, location– As most others have said, this is a really nice park in downtown St. Pete. Lots of shady areas to sit and look out over the bay or marina. The sidewalk is right on the edge of the sea wall so you can walk along the path and sea all of the sea life. Not a lot of people exercising on the path(like north Straub) which, is nice. Treat yourself and spend an hour under the shade on a cool day in the middle of the week. You might fall asleep. Super tip: Don’t go at noon. You probably won’t find a spot to park as its a popular area to spend a lunch hour

This is a nice, well maintained park, with a great view of the bay. There’s a playground for occupying the kids, some picnic tables if you like to eat outside with nature, several grills for getting the picnicking underway, and a walking path to burn off those extra four hotdog calories. Parking is limited, but if you get there early, it’s not a problem. The park is in s great location if you want to take a brisk walk through downtown, or eat five hamburgers at the many restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it’s a great park, in a great location, with a great view.

This is a lovely park with a playground along the edge of the Bay by downtown St. Pete(near where the Saturday Market is held). There are nice views of the pier(or what was the pier anyway.) and sailboats, also places to sit on the grass and enjoy the shade of trees. A little quieter and more secluded feeling here than the main downtown parks along Bayshore. Nice place to pass some time and relax fo suah.

We went for American Theatre’s Play in the park series, In the Heights. While the storm cancelled the storm on the first night, we went back the next day. The second night we were able to get in the first twenty minutes or so before the storm took over. I wish there were more time to try to actually see the entire play but the weather won here. I definitely look forward to next season.

Demmings landing is probably one of the best places for an outdoor theater production. We’ve been coming to the outdoor theater production for over 17 years and we have never had a disappointing event. Today is no exception the stage is huge, The seating and the fact that you can bring a picnic think that even better. Oh yes and you can drink wine in here enjoy production

Demen’s Landing is a little on the smaller size, but it is a nice park. I have watched Fireworks from Demen’s Landing many times. It is generally less crowded than the Pier and Beach Drive area. You have a great view and less hassle. We normally bring a blanket, a water bottle and sometimes the dog. I have also fished at Demen’s Landing. You will mostly catch smaller fish, but it can be fun. It is also FREE. Free parking(just make sure you don’t park in one of the many reserved lots. keep driving for free parking towards the end) and free to use the park. There are a few little piers off of Demen’s Landing… but they are TINY. You might as well use the seawalls. Bonus tip: if you just want to fish in a park like Demen’s Landing, you can get your fishing license for free at Walmart. The park does close at 11pm. We were kicked out last night… but it was done nicely. We were just told that the park closed at 11pm and we needed to pack up. Demen’s Landing also has decent bathrooms(which are real bathrooms and clean) and many park benches. There are several little niches that you can slip into for a romantic moment with a loved one. While it is not the best park in St. Pete, Demen’s Landing is a great(and lesser known) park. Visit if you haven’t yet.

DPL is a nice park, but it’s not quite as big as I would have like. There is a children’s playground(if memory serves me right) a couple of benches. It’s one the water, and has some good views. I saw some kids doing sailing lessons while I was there. Overall, I would recommend grabbing some food to go from a restaurant downtown and walking over to DPL to eat it.

Nice park to fish from the seawalls. Picnic tables around, and the view is really nice.

O.k. so people can’t grill here BUT there’s the waterfront, a great children’s playground, the marina, clean bathrooms and smack-dab in the middle of downtown. AND they have American Stage doing plays on a fine grassy lawn during the spring! The accompanying photo tells the story of it’s evolution into a city park. Saw Rent here last night. yes, parking is tight but if one gets there early, it’s not bad.
