Checked this place out from Unilocal ! Cheese steak was wonderful and spinach pie is good. Very friendly owners. A very nice place for lunch.

I stumbled upon this little gem by using Unilocal when I was in unfamiliar territory. Owner was very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the mixed grill plate which included three kabobs(one chicken, one beef and one lamb). I got it with babaganoush and rice. Everything was absolutely fantastic! Marinades were super good on all the meat! I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Had I not been to Beirut Café first, this would have been a solid five star restaurant as their food is delicious, but I’ve become a bit spoiled by the Lebanese staple down the street. I will say though the one thing that they do here that is unrivaled is their Baba ganoosh. It’s simply amazing! Hands down the best I’ve ever had! The hummus is hearty, perfectly blended and simple without all the unnecessary spices you get from the supermarket hummus. Just the way I like it. Their grape leaves, falafel and kibbeh are very good, but just not as good as Beruit’s. That being said it isn’t that far off and certainly the second best of any Mediterranean restaurant I’ve been to in the Bay area and I’ve been to plenty! Their prices are very good and portions are plentiful. The mixed grill is a great entrée that gives you a good bang for your buck and let’s you try three of the grilled meats that they serve and it’s awesome! They give you plenty of pita to go with your dishes and take pride in the food they serve. Definitely a great restaurant representing Middle Eastern food properly!

Just moved here from Atlanta and found this place. My wife and I loved it. Everything we had was delicious. Flavors(lots of it) and textures were perfect. We’re definitely going back soon.

My girlfriend and I learned about Cedars Grill through , and discovered a hidden gem of Levant and Mediterranean Cuisine. We shared the hummus, labaneh, and tabouleh with pita. For entrée’s my girlfriend had the chicken shawarma, and I had the mixed grill of lamb, beef, and chicken with basmati rice. It was a large helping of food that we needed to have boxed togo, along with a baklava dessert togo as well. The menu is very reasonably priced with appetizers from $ 3.00 to $ 6.00 and entrees between $ 9.00 and $ 13.00. The restaurant is small with a few booths and tables, and the owner was very personable and took pride in the food that he prepared. We will both be returning to Cedars again, and highly recommend it.

One of my favorite places… Always excellent! Fresh, authentic and delicious… oh and it’s good for you too :-) Although the restaurant is not fancy… this is the best Mediterranean food I’ve had outside of NY. Two thumbs up!

This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! Food is great, deserts are to dye for. If you love Mediterranean food it’s worth checking out. Small place and doesn’t look like much, but trust me the food is worth it!

I really want to this place to be good. I love Mediterranean food. I came in at 11AM on a Tuesday and ordered a Gyro, tabouli salad, A Kuchta kebab plate with babaganous and hummus. The gyro and salad came out right away. With my water. Now I am the only person in the restaurant and the only order during the entire time I’m there but he seems to magically forget the rest of it. I know I spoke clearly when I gave my order so finally after waiting 20 minutes he finally comes back to my table and I asked to get it to go and he flat out had forgotten about it. I didn’t even get a refill of water that entire time or an offer of it instead he sat outside yelling on his phone. Now the stuff I ate was fine pretty good but when I go back there after that situation no… Especially cause I was the only customer in there and you should’ve given me a little more attention

Don’t judge a book by its cover… this place isn’t much to look at but serves up great, fresh Mediterranean food. Chicken shwarma with humus and tabbouleh was great, fresh and well seasoned. Service is friendly. If you like Mediterranean food try this place. I’ll be back for more.

We moved away from the area years ago and when we visit we always eat here. Love love love it. Kafta(kufta) is always on point and the grape leaves are amazing. Make sure to pick up some groceries from their store while you are there.

Excellent food and decent pricing for Lebanese food. If you like garlic and babaganoush, theirs is second to none. Friendly staff. Also, try the lamb. Mmmm…

Authentic in all senses: 1. Starting with their customer service: Gentle and accommodating 2. Food quality and flavor and pricing: Its good compared to others Mediterranean restaurants. 3. Serving size is decent but not very generous even though the flavor makes up for it. 4. The place is simple and clean, here the fancy is in the food.

Great little gem of a Lebanese restaurant! Located in a nondescript strip mall with pretty basic décor but the food is really good and super cheap. We were so excited, probably ordered too much food but looking forwards to left overs. First off, stuffed grapes leaves were good and not nearly as expensive as most other places(6 pieces for $ 4). Falafel was crunchy outside and moist inside. Gyro was good and I liked the really thin, homemade pita bread it was served with. Could have used a little more spice(Athenian Gardens probably has the best gyro IMHO) but meat was juicy and good toppings. What really blew me away was the mixed grill platter that had lamb kebabs, kufta(ground beef grilled on a skewer) and spiced chicken skewers. All of it was spiced really well and juicy and moist w/good grill marks/char. It came w/2 sides so we got hummus and tabouli. We got 2 baklava to go, 1 pistachio, 1 walnut. Both delish. We could have gotten half the food and been very full but all of this only came to $ 32.44 w/1 iced tea and if you check in on Unilocal, right now they are giving a 20% discount. I think we could have easily eaten for less than $ 20 bucks for 2 people.

Stopped by Cedars Grill today in St Pete for lunch today. It is in a small somewhat odd little plaza. We walked in and the place was empty. We were greeted and seated immediately. We ordered the babagounosh, veggie platter, and the Cedars mixed grill plate. It was kind of funny as the server told us the special, but I had a hard time understanding him, but he asked us if we wanted to try it, and we said yes. Little did we know we ordered a 4th plate when we had hoped for a sample. Small misunderstanding and wasn’t worried about it. The food was all very flavorful. I enjoyed the veggie platter as much as the mix of meat kabobs. Everything on the veggie platter was amazing. The babagounosh had a great flavor as well. Overall, the experience was pleasant and the food was tasty.

Excellent food! Do not let the lack of business stop you from going in! The falafel plate is delicious which is very delicate and flavorful. I also enjoyed the babaganoush sandwich that uses fresh veggies. The pita bread is complimentary with sandwiches and goes well with a tahini sauce. I highly recommend stopping by and having an enjoyable affordable lunch.

If you like Cedar Market next door, you’ll like Cedars Grill. Some of what I ordered here I have also purchased at the market, and they’re very similar. I stopped in one day for an off-hour lunch with a friend. Cedar’s Grill is a bit sterile inside. Yes, there’s color on the walls, but it’s not what I would call comfortable. I wouldn’t want to sit here for much longer than it takes to have lunch, and that warrants docking a star. Our waitress was incredibly nice and kept pushing the meal platters(meat plus rice plus other side) because they were the best deal. I wasn’t feeling something that heavy, but it was nice she was looking out for us. I ordered the lentil soup and the vegetarian platter. The soup was good and reminded me of one I had on a cold night in Turkey; it even came with the chunk of lemon. Having recently had the veg platter over at Beirut I could have a really good comparison since that was a fresh memory. The platter I ordered had a couple felafel, tabbouleh, fattoush, grapeleaves, and hummus. The tabbouleh and hummus were the best part of it for me. Like the market next door, the hummus is a bit thin and can be used as a condiment instead of a heavy dip. Smear some on pita, insert felafel or meat, top with some salad… The tabbouleh is the tiny bulgur couscous instead of the big pearls, and it’s definitely predominantly parsley. The fattoush was also good, but the dressing I’ve had in other places was a little better. Grapeleaves have never been my favorite. Until I tried the ones at Beirut Café, I actively disliked them. The ones here could have been forgotten in the kitchen and I would be okay with it. The felafel was pretty much average. All in all, it was an average meal. Next time I would try the meat because the skewers in the case looked really good, but I wanted to pick at a bunch of things instead.

I’ve been going to Cedar Market right next door for about 10 years, this is a welcome addition. The food is fresh and delicious, and should be a regular stop for anyone in the area. Try to kufta kebob platter and the homemade hummos.
