Fresh, flavorful and fantastic. Must stop by again. To bring some treats home to California. If your a resident of St. Pete you are so fortunate to have this bakery in your town. If your visiting, this is a must to do.

Better late then never??? Not sure. I have been pass this unassuming building probably thousands of times and never gone in. Mind you I have been a St. Pete resident off and on since 1993. I always wondered what was inside. I knew it was a bakery and looked dated. Well today was the day to end this mystery of what was being created inside. First of all it is definitely not that big for partrons. I imagined a great big seating area with older people eating croissants or chocolates. While perusing the newspaper or talking to each other in German. I was half right. It was a very small seating area(like 2 tables) with 2 older ladies eating croissants and reading the paper. No German conversation. The coffee was on a little table towards the end of the display area. Self serve. A little hokey for a café! Where is the baristas??? I thought I would be enveloped in the smell of fresh brewing coffee when I walked in this place and the smell of sweet baking pastry. So the pastry case is loaded with all kinds of goodies. That they definitely had. All kinds of different danish. They had strudels, cakes, breads, and other delectables ! It was hard to decide. We ended up selecting cheese Danish and cinnamon rolls. There is no where to eat. So we took them home. Picked up coffee somewhere else because I didn’t feel like pushing on the self serve version coffee containers/thermos things. So the taste test. They looked amazing. They tasted great. My son loved the cheese danish. As he said, «Hey, yo. This thing is good. I don’t know what it is, but it’s good.» Teens… I wish they were a little fluffier and not so dry. I love fresh, fluffy and slightly gooey danish. Just melts in your mouth type. I did not have this euphoria while eating these. They’re were good. I might of had my hopes set too high or maybe I just haven’t had that much German pastry to know better. Even though one of my grandparents is German. He didn’t do baking though. I will stop in again though. Sample some of the other treats. I give the taste 4 stars texture/freshness 3 Inside 3 only because they did have a lot to choose from. Not a lot of seating. Café… no real coffee besides self serve…2 stars I love supporting local shops! Price 4 very inexpensive So when I am in the mood to stop and pick up some pastries for the family and don’t want to deal with the crowds of grocery store bakery. I will come here.

I had my first visit here before Thanksgiving. I picked up some great sweets that everyone enjoyed at Thanksgiving. One lady is German and was so happy to have the strudel that she makes all the time. She said it was wonderful. Looking forward to going back.

My friend and I stopped in to see what’s good and we found everything was great. We bought a small assortment of items-chocolate, Danish, strudel, but I can’t say what’s my fav since all of it was so decadent. The only downside is that when we went back a couple days later to get a to-go box for me to take on a trip(I think it was Sunday) it was closed all day. If they were open longer, especially on the weekend, it would be wonderful and convenient.

Both a surprise and wonderful experience. I don’t have time to travel to Europe, but walking into this place is like a trip to an overseas German Bakery. Excellent quality, no compromise on flavor and a wonderful variety. I look at the magical hand made baked goods behind the glass and I want to grab a ton of it and deliver it to local businesses, and make sure they are at the top of everyone’s catering list and event calendar. I hope local independent coffee shops and the local markets help boost their popularity because they do everything properly and most other bakeries have so little of this authenticity. I’ll be back!

The BEST bakery in Tampa Bay. Their pastries, treats and bread are all amazing. I always like to try their new creations, but the strudels are my go to every time. They cherry/cheese, raspberry/cheese or apple strudels are personal favorites but you can’t go wrong with any of them. The only other bakery that comes close is Mazzaro’s Italian bakery but Mozart has a personal touch and is owned and operated by a small authentic German family. Very nice people and their baked goods are a must try if you are in St Pete.

Every weekend, as soon as my eyes open, Mozart Bakery is on my mind. They are a family owned, German Bakery, taking training also from Austria and Switzerland. If you want to eat at yet another St Pete institution, this is one. When I arrive in the morning to do some damage, I always see the same faces eating their bran muffins and tea, while reading the paper. The locals definitely love this place, and the service is always kind and helpful. Sadly, the baked goods from here often look better than they actually taste: Anything that is noted as cheesecake, don’t even bother. The croissants and croissant pastries are almost legitimate. While the pastry cream at Mozart is perfect, it is often paired with canned fruit. This combination makes me want to question humanity. The strudel is where it’s at, filled with fresh apples and spices and not too sweet. While most of the other fruit filled items are filled with canned pie filling or fruit cocktail, the strudel is fresh and almost artisan. I mostly come here to support local business, gimme a break man. They also have house made breads, sandwiches, and many cases of imported goods. And, even have a drive thru! Everyday, they have a special that is buy 6 danishes and get the 7th free. From the name, I was thinking that it was a Korean Bakery at first, because many of the Korean bakeries in Atlanta are named Mozart. Which got me all excited.

My goodniess. I cannot say enough how much our family loves this place. Almost every other weekend, we will pick up our breakfast here and go home enjoy with a cup of coffee. Everything is so fresh, so tasty. Never had one bad experience. Everything is good. Last Christmas, I bought them for all my clients. We also buy them for our neighbors or whenever we go to a brunch and not sure what to bring. I have a 10-year old, if you allow him, every morning, he would say«Café Morzart, please». My hubby thinks the owners could be a little bit warmer. I agree. But for the goodies I am getting(and the price is super too), I can live with that.

Wonderfully delicious! I purchased an assortment of their flaky pastries and they were excellent. The staff was patient while I tried to determine which of the appetizing pastries I wanted to take home.

An all around amazing bakery. As a German I really enjoy having such a great German bakery nearby(even though the owners are really from Austria). Everything is great: cakes, cookies, pastries, bread, and rolls(Brötchen). You can also get great cheese or ham sandwiches on Brötchen. It’s not really a sit down and eat establishment, more of a pickup and eat at home place. My favorite thing is that they have a drive through!

After seeing pictures of escargots du pain, I immediately popped in to grab a pastry or two. I got a cheese danish and poppy seed danish, when I looked over and saw the $ 5 minimum for debit cards. I thought I’d surely exceeded that, when the kind woman working told me my total was something like $ 3.40! I begrudgingly ordered a cinnamon roll as well and barely topped the minimum. What you save on pastries you’ll spend on a personal trainer, because these are damn good pastries for the price. Not giant behemoths that you need to parse out over the day, although they do sell strudels the size of a skateboard. The pastries are old school, perfectly sweet, and not too filling so you can indulge and have two… or three… on the car ride home.

Oh where do I start? This place has lovely food. From the pastries to the bread, all is delicious. There’s not much more to say other than if you know what you want it’s fun to use the drive thu too. Try one of all, you won’t be disappointed by freshness, taste or quality.

Holy moly this place is amazing. The little man who does the baking has 40 years experience in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany… and boy can you tell. The pastries and breads are to die for. Just go here and buy one of everything – that’s what I do almost daily! Everything is so good there, you can’t pick wrong!

I went here yesterday to grab some pastries for my coworkers and everything was delicious. This is a quaint little unsuspecting bakery on 4th St. North that many people have probably driven right past. They had a small but varied selection of goodies and I chose 6 for about $ 13. Some of the things they had available were bullwinkles, very large cookies, chocolate croissants, cinnamon nut crowns, apple strudel, chocolate cake, tortes, chocolate raspberry horseshoe cookies. and more. When you walk in it doesn’t look like much because the décor is a little dated and there is usually no one else in there but I would suggest getting a few items and sharing with people so that you can try more than one thing at a time. All of my coworkers loved their selections and everything was fresh and tasty. There is a $ 5 minimum for credit cards and they usually close around 2 or 3 so check the hours before you head out there.

I lived in Germany several years ago. Not on a military base, actually out and about with real Germans and I have to say, this is about as good of a German bakery as you’re going to get on this side of the Atlantic. I’ve tried a few of their items. Mostly everything is good, but it’s not quite the«amazing» mark. Their cakes are good. You’ll find Blackforest Cake(Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) and Bee-sting cake(Bienenstich.) I recommend it if you’re absolutely craving pastries of the German tradition.

We come to Café Mozart every time we visit St. Petersburg. They have the most delicious fresh pastries and I’m a huge fan of the chocolate croissant! Give me more! We like it so much we even take a big box back home with us to Tennessee.

The best assortment of German and European pastries, cakes, and even sandwiches. Everything is made fresh daily and you can definitely taste it! Big taste in a small building! If you have a party coming up stop by Mozart in the morning as everything is made fresh and is on a first come basis. I always pick up a box of pastries for brunches to birthday parties. BIGHIT!!! I love Café Mozart!
