My very first visit to this salon and believe me not my last. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by Marcus the concierge a smile a winning attitude to boot perfect I said to myself. I was offered tea Aveda of course delicious, then Shayna my hairdresser introduced herself and asked me exactly what I wanted and needed that is so great finally someone who listen and does exactly what you want. My consultation was very interesting we exchange ideas and finally agreed on the perfect cut for me, well the finish product was astonishing I looked great and to top it off easy care for me. I shall be back next for my colour .

I moved to Florida almost 4 years ago and I have been struggling to find «my stylist». I have been to several high end salons in Tampa and struggled to get the results that I wanted. I had a great relationship with one stylist in South Tampa, but he left to open his own salon in Carrollwood and that was just too far from me. I ended up trying other stylists but just ended up with very damaged hair.
Enter Jessica at Beyond Aveda! I happened to have met Jessica in a social environment and I was complaining about my hair. She had just cut and colored my friends hair and I loved it, so I made an appointment with her for 2 weeks later.
As soon as I arrived at the salon, everyone made me feel very at ease. The salon was very clean and I loved that it didn’t smell like chemicals in there, as most salons do. I was offered a beverage and next came the consultation. Jessica and I talked about what I wanted my cut and color to look like and we even looked at some swatches to make sure we were both envisioning the same colors. My chief complaint was that my blonde locks were dry and damaged and I wanted a more natural highlight. My hair turned out beautifully and I have continued to see Jessica exclusively ever since.
About a week ago, I went in to see Jessica for «a change». I decided I wanted to ditch the blonde and go for a red/​brown. Again, before doing anything, Jessica spent about 15 minutes with me going through colors and pictures to ensure I would get results that I wanted. I have to say I love my darker hair even more than I did blonde!
Jessica is a color expert and I would recommend her to anyone! She doesn’t push the products on me like I’ve experienced in other salons, but she does make recommendations if you ask. She is very easy to talk to and in my opinion one of the best stylists in Tampa Bay. Thank you Jessica!!!

Had a great experience here! The staff was really friendly and Jen was a master with my super short hair. She asked lots of questions and wasn’t afraid when I told her to tell me what she thought about what i wanted. I found my stylist for sure!
The place is really clean, and although she did suggest products to buy, there was no high pressure sales. Great job, y’all!

I’ve been a guest here for years and I’ve always received consistent great service from everyone in the salon. I’ve had services done by a multiple stylists and had spa services too. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Not very happy with the services they provide, I wasn’t relaxed, no skelp massage, water in my eyes while she washed my hair and she left conditioner in my hair that I had to tell her about. When she brushed me out it was still tangled that was from the awful shampoo and conditioner job. Haircut was rushed and blowout was fine but it should be a relaxing experience that I did not receive. Location is close to my house however I won’t be returning.

Today was my first appointment; I’m new in town. Where I lived before I patronized an Aveda salon. When I called for an appointment they fit me in the same day for a cut and full head foil.
I was happy to see that are right up-​front about their prices.
Eric did an excellent cut and highlight. He listened to my wishes and was very skilled. Eric paid particular attention to what kind of shampoo I preferred and even used an extra conditioning step which kept my usually frizzy fine curls beautifully smooth. He acceded to my wish to let my hair dry naturally rather than blow it out. I am delighted with the results and will be back

I have searched for two years for a salon in the Tampa Bay area after four years with the most amazing stylist in Atlanta. I think I’ve found my place.
I’m a very simple client. I don’t do color or any dramatic cuts. I just want my layers cleaned up, my hair thinned a little, and a slight trim — every time. I’ve tried another Aveda salon in Tampa, and it was fine, but I wasn’t thrilled with the lack of personality in the stylist. I’ve tried a couple other St Pete salons, and again — OK cuts, I guess, but zero personality.
I was recommended Jen at Beyond by a coworker and I’m so happy I went. She does a fantastic job with my hair. My hair always looks and feels so much healthier after an appointment, and she always dries it so it doesn’t look overly styled, like I just came from a salon (something pretty much EVERY salon has done). She’s bubbly and really listens to what I’m looking for. Her product recommendations have been great, and I am almost tempted to explore some coloring with her. (Almost.)
I took my mom to Jen when she was in town, and Jen gave her the most amazing color. She got my mom out of her comfort zone with the color, but it still looked so natural and warm on her. She definitely looked ten years younger when she left the salon!

I had a fabulous experience with Jen. I came in with overly processed platinum blonde hair that had been burnt off, some pieces less than an inch long, by another hairstylist. I already had a shorter hairstyle, so I was ok with her cutting it into a sleek pixie style. Jen knocked my haircut out of the park! I’ve been in the St Pete area for almost two years and I have finally found someone I trust to not only cut my very short hair (which was also lopsided when I first came in), but I am completely comfortable and confident to have her lighten it as well. I’ve been going to Beyond Aveda since I can remember. The staff including the manager, Timothy, have always been so wonderful. They know you by name and always greet you like they’ve missed you since your last visit. My stylist, Jessica, transformed my hair years ago after I came in seeking a master stylists’ advice concerning my horrible highlight job. I see her every three months and every three months I want to change my style. She has been so patient and so understanding of what I want and what my hair needs, I don’t even ask what she thinks anymore. I let her do what she thinks would look best and fresh and she masters it every time. If you need someone who understands what you want and will do what’s in the best interest of your hair, go here. Every client gets the royal treatment and walks out feeling renewed and beautiful without breaking bank.

I was new to town and spent a good bit of time reading reviews about local salons before trying this one. Well, the time I invested paid off. This salon suits me. It’s easy to get an appointment. They are up front about the price of their services. They make recommendations but have no problem with adjusting services to my preferences. I color and highlight my hair so I’m careful of what products are used. My stylist is Megan and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I go to Jessica and she is always great. She is very efficient and does great work. Her blowouts, cuts, color, & highlights are amazing. Jessica always does her best to work me into her schedule. She makes me feel comfortable and is always thinking on how to make my appearance better.

I hate to hit this salon with one star, but employing a gentleman named AJ will do it. This guy cared more about talking crap about his co-​workers than giving me a horrible hair cut. If he applied half the amount of effort cutting my hair as he did crying about his job, maybe I wouldn’t have had to shave my head. Worst part, he could have cared less. Never again AJ, never again.

This review is primarily for the men — ladies, you won’t offend my online persona if you do not read it.
So my wife tells me I should go here and I am skeptical. A salon? I am not one to worry too much about my haircut, but I kept getting botch jobs at the usual suspects (Insert hyperbolic adjective here like «Super,» «Great,» or «Fantastic.») By the way, was there ever just a Sam’s? Anyway, I digress.
Just give this place a shot. It’s well worth the money and you only need to remember the name of one stylist. Loren (pronounced Lauren). She is incredibly friendly, down to earth, and she gives my wife and I the haircuts that make us the pillars of the community that we are. Clearly, she also gives you confidence and an inflated sense of self-​worth.
The front desk employees are equally awesome and friendly. Every time you go in they will know your name based on your reservation time, call you by it and offer you green tea or water. Also, one time they were running a few minutes behind and a woman came over and offered me a hand massage. How dope is that? Of course, I didn’t accept because I would have been uncomfortable the entire time, but the offer was most generous.
Anyway, just go to the place, check it out and remember to ask for Loren.

Really like this place. I moved here from Michigan after the same girl cuty hair for 20 years. It took 5 bad cuts at other places before I found this place. Thanks shawna

We TRIED to get an appointment here for my husband, and after giving us an appointment we get a call back that since my husband has never been here before, he may not have his appointment because there is no time for a 15 minute consultation… What? Mens haircut. That’s all that is required. My husband couldn’t talk about his hair for 15 minutes if he tried. You don’t need my business apparently!

I followed my stylist after she graduated from the Aveda Institute in downtown St. Pete. This salon has very friendly people and the feel is very light and industrial while still retaining the Aveda look.
They sell the line of Aveda products but don’t shove them down your throat. The prices are very reasonable and they have free tea or water while you wait.
While I was there the owner came by to check in and see how my visit was going. He seemed genuinely interested and didn’t come off as pretentious at all. The next day I had to go back because my head is shaped like an ugli fruit and the nape of my neck has a forest of cowlicks. I can’t blame my stylist for being confused, I own this head and often end up wearing a hijab, though I’m baptist.
The good: friendly, comfy chairs, mad skills in abundance
The bad: their Muzak sucks
The bottom line: totally worth it and the only place I will go (as long as my stylist is there)

This was my first time at an Aveda salon. While I was pampered (scalp and neck massage), and the consult was thorough, I went home and had to «fix» my haircut. I shouldn’t have to do that here. I was very specific with my instructions re: my hair and the cut, and I’ve provided one extra star for the fact that I was growing out a very bad cut and this cut had to try to even things out.
The inside of the building resembles a warehouse-​trying-​to-​be-​a-​holistic-​salon.
I just went to supercuts 3 weeks after my cut at this Aveda salon and I got a really great cut that I didn’t have to fix for half the price!
I use some Aveda products and I love them, but I won’t be coming back again.

I’m a big burly (straight) outdoor guy and yes I get my hair cut at a this salon. Why? Because they’re awesome. I’ve never been treated with anything other than the utmost courtesy and respect. Their front desk staff are friendly and helpful. My schedule is erratic so I’m always having to move appointments and I’ve even missed a couple (oops) they’ve always been completely willing to work with me. The interior is very well done and comfortable. The waiting area is a large table with surprisingly comfortable chairs but I’ve never had to wait long they’re always running on time. They have, what I assume, is a full line of products (I wouldn’t know but they have a lot of stuff). Including men’s products and yes, as other reviewers have said, Aveda makes awesome products but awesome doesn’t come cheap.
Getting in is not a problem but if you want to go west on 22^nd getting out of that parking lot can be difficult. There is a road with a light at the end of the parking lot opposite the salon but you have to turn right then RIGHT away get in the left lane to turn left on 22^nd. If there’s traffic it’s impossible. I usually find myself going east on 22^nd out of their lot then finding a way to get turned around. (did I really just spend a third of this review on the parking lot?)
They don’t offer massage. If they did I’d give them 5 stars.

Fantastic salon! Bridgette is an amazing stylist and I’ll definitely be back!
