Gateway Powder Coating

I have used Gateway Powdercoating for several projects now over the last couple of years and so has my brother. They have always done top-​notch work and cared about the finished product. Always done in a reasonable time-​frame in my experience.
Prices seem very good most of the time but a time or two have been more than expected. To be fair though, I don’t know what kind of labor different pieces might involve and I trust that they do. I have some items there as I am writing this review.
They have been GREAT!!!

We had them refinish our patio set. They were easy to communicate with via e-​mail, provided a written quote (also electronically) and the price billed was the same price quoted. The staff was very helpful when I arrived to unload the set and they seemed genuinely excited about the project.
It took them ~5 business days to complete the work) which was within their estimated timeframe), and the finished product looks great!

I have been to a lot of shops over the years and these guys are pretty darn good and have very fast turn around times. I have had quite a few ATV parts powdered by these guys and there work is second to none. I have also started taking all of my ceramic coating work to them as well. Their ceramic is the best I have seen yet. Keep up the good work guys!

I had a set of BMW wheels powder coated here last year. They were looked great and were ready in 3 days.
Last month I dropped another set of BMW wheels, and was told they would be ready in one week. Well, they took 3 weeks and they don’t look as good as the first set. There is orange peel all over on my piano black powder coating.
I asked the owner about the orange peel and he went on some rant about BMW and Mercedes car paint having a lot of orange peel. I wonder if he knows the difference between powder coating and car paint.
I requested a discount due to the delay in delivery and his response was «we can’t give discounts to everybody due to the delays, we are busy right now so it takes what it takes».
So in summary, in less than a year the work quality has gone downhill and the customer service by Nathan the owner sucks. Will not spend a dime there ever again!!!

Had fantastic service with these guys, I needed new tires and wanted a new look for the SUV, so I had them turn my a rims black, I only have one set of wheels so they kept the car and were able to arrange a set of new tires from tire plaza to be put on after the rims were done, all took 3 days, very professional and the rims look awesome, thanks a ton
