While not all of the ER staff at BJC St Peters are incompetent, it appears there is a pattern to the lack of common sense that is used during emergency visits. On multiple occasions I or another member of my family were discharged only to return the same day with complications initially missed by the physicians. Due to this negligence in care, the charges essentially doubled due to multiple visits. Charges through the ER were not itemized even after requesting this 3 times over the course of many months. Negotiating or discussing of these charges were met with indifference. I would encourage those that can choose care at a different facility to do so.
