Let me start out by saying I work in the F and B business so I am used to great food. It takes a lot to make me say«very good» but Chill did it. The Seabass was delicate and flaky, the way it should be and was paired with a Sherried cream. Well done! The Filet was very tender and cooked rare, the way I ordered it. The mashed potatoes were tasty and not overdone with ingredients. Dessert«The Red» was out of this world good, enough said. I suggest eating outdoors, nice breeze coming through. Gilbert, our server was polite, fast and on point with his service. Thanks for a delicious evening.

First off let me say this place is quite lively on a Friday night. «Chill» is an understatement. With that being said, it’s really more of a place for a more mature crowd. The food is a little more on the higher end but it is delicious. The drinks are average price, $ 6 for a Bloody Mary. Would I come back? Yes– but only for the food.

Had a lovely brunch at Chill a few weeks ago. We stopped in after attending the Sunday Corey Ave Craft Fair(which is also awesome!) They seemed to be in a transition between brunch and dinner so we were some of the only people in the restaurant. We grabbed a nice seat on the patio and were able to watch all the vendors packing up from the fair. The toddy(cold brewed iced coffee — no alcohol) was delicious and STRONG! Our waiter was very friendly and had great suggestions. My fiancé went with the falafel salad and I got to try a bit. It was one of the best falafels I’ve ever had and the vinaigrette was nice and light and perfect for a hot day. I usually avoid anything without meat in it(lol!) but would most definitely get this the next time. My Philly Cheesesteak skillet was also awesome. The portion size was absolutely humongous and would have been enough for four people to share. The meat and cheese and Whiz and eggs were perfect. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the potatoes — they were a little bland and I’d ask for no potatoes next time. We had a great experience and I’m looking forward to trying that bloody Mary bar they had out next time!

The restaurant atmosphere is nice, and the wait staff are very polite and attentive. The food is good, but portion size is way too big. I wish good restaurants would focus on quality not quantity. I would recommend the omelette and crepes as well as a to-go box. The mocha is pretty good as well.

Totally ignored from start to finish. Watched a later served gaggle of women gulping down vino as we waited for all the necessities: service, Drinks, utensils, ketchup salad and basic follow up. Food average at best. FOOD KRANK gives CHILL a chilly KEEPDRIVINGRATING!

Just Average… Were here for Easter. Service Very good. Menu, nice variety. T-bone steak, very bland. Needs more seasoning and a nice sear on it. Salads, boring… Chicken Carbonara, not much flavor. Banana Foster, very good. Coffee, Excellent. Prices are fair. Has full bar. Food needs more seasoning. Just not much flavor…

Visiting Florida from California for spring break. I had been searching for. Vegan friendly restaurants. I am so glad I came across this place. The vegan hash was absolutely amazing. Everyone in my family was stuffed. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Gilbert was our server. He was so sweet. He talked with us throughout the entire meal, gave us directions, advice on where to go, and even took the time to learn everyone’s names individually

If you are looking for a bar type atmosphere at night, this is probably a good choice — very crowded and noisy. Ordered Tapas. One being the pasta, and paid for shrimp(I think $ 4 and got 2 smallish shrimp. Complained and got 2 more. The pear salad was made with canned pears. All the food was mediocre, didn’t enjoy and left most of it. Wouldn’t go back As I said a good bar type atmosphere with live entertainment catering to an older crowd.

The new location is such a positive improvement over the original location. Thank you! I am very fond of breakfast the vegan hash with a couple of poached eggs is so good. The flip side«meatly speaking». I must say the shrimp and grits are crazy good. My only regret is the extra 5 miles I have to log in to burn it off… but well worth it!

I love this place! GREAT coffee and breakfast. Ruthie’s shrimp and grits are AMAZING. The dinner menu is great too with full entrees and a great variety of delectable small plates — all complimented by a very nice wine selection and full bar. Most nights offer live music which makes this one of our favorite spots in St. Pete Beach.

Updated my review for new Corey Avenue location: I’ve been enjoying CHILL for a few years now & am happy to say that CHILL is Still my #1 go to restaurant on St Pete Beach for breakfast lunch or dinner for myself w/locals or out of town guests, as well as great business dinner location(even better now with additional private room dining space). I could talk about the scrumptious-ness of nearly every menu item & the feasible expectation that every last bite will be delish, but there’s not enough room here to give due credit for all. I’ll highlight breakfast by saying it’s all good from the basic farmers breakfast for the non-adventurer, the not so basic granny sandwich, the ‘oh, so this is how shrimp & grits is supposed to be served!’, to the delectable ham & brie crepes. Dinner tapas plates ‘must includes’ are the tapanade, the bacon wrapped stuffed figs, and the duck breast w/Grey Goose & Grand Marnier CHERRY sauce(incredible!)…and any fish or veggie on the menu. Dessert offerings are all good, but I like to go with another tapas plate of med-rare espresso beef or the sweet brie. I would be remiss in not mentioning that CHILL was my hands-down winner of BURGER Week 2015! Straight out of Chill Restaurant’s kitchen to my discriminating palette! I must RAVE that Chill’s Italian Burger was the absolute best tasting burger on my tour, made of Certified Angus Beef with prosciutto, smoked mozzarella & a sundried tomato aioli. Do yourself a favor & go get one!!! We have a NEW Best Burger in St Pete!

Four of us had a wonderful meal this evening. We ate tapas style, sharing seven tapas — stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto, stuffed olives, Chilean sea bass in a cream sauce, beef in espresso sauce with mashed potatoes, lamb with spinach and squash, stuffed butternut squash, and shrimp. Beautiful desserts. Low-key music in the background. A friendly waitress Ashley. The only problem was that the restaurant was full and they were understaffed. There was no busboy to clear the tables, a job left to the waitress who was waiting 10 tables. Great food though. The service should soon catch up.

Wow! Passing by on our way to another restaurant, very pleased we stopped! The Russian waiter on the patio is seriously the nicest thing! You won’t be sorry! Servings are enough for 2 or 3 people. Coffee/lattes are in a mega mug of deliciousness! Full bar and dogs are welcome too!

We came here for dessert and coffee and wish we would have come for dinner as well. This place has only 3 desserts but let me tell you the entire table was celebrating the flavor town Taste bud part going on. You must save room for these desserts.

Excellent what can I not say about this place. However, when I went here with a group from Meetup, Tom and Sharon, lovely people I did not know it was a Tapa’s. The food is excellent. Fresh and delish… I was here before they opened this place up down the street when Ruth was the owner, I guess she still is, as I was told, who had the best Breakfast of large waffles and smothered with whipped cream and berries, so yummy. But I guess when Martina’s moved out what a pleasant surprise to move right in… a fine bar and staff. Alyssa was so cute trying to accommodate all of us, and make us full. What I did not know is that Tapa’s means the food is smaller portion sizes but not the prices. Prices were a bit steep for what they gave you. My husband was still hungry after we left at 9:30pm, we went to Culvers for a burger, My meal was good even though I asked for zucchini, but I got pasta instead. I did not know that the meals were coming out little by little. I would suggest that Ruth and her husband put bread on the tables for everyone to munch on before the meals. by the time I had my meal I nearly was getting ready to pass out. I had to have some food. We asked several times for bread but their was only 2 gals working the tables… You need more staff to run the food! Not enough to feed well over 30 of us in the back room! Overall the drinks were done exceptionally well. My Tanguray Tonic was excellent, but who can ruin a Gin drink, but yet I have seen this done this way. Love that new bar singer. he made this place light up. Good job. I will return, next time for some drinks and one tapa’s meal. Next time I will order the Bre.

This was a great find! We originally tried to go to another place for brunch, but the wait was huge. This little find was right by the farmer and craft market and there’s was no wait and outdoor seating. We each ordered something different: the Eggs Benedict, Caprese Omelette, and Ham and Brie Crêpe. We also split the Bananas Foster Waffle. And cappuccino and lattes. OMG. The food was plentiful and delicious. I had asked for side salad instead of potatoes and they brought it for me without charge. It was delicious-especially the pomegranate champagne dressing. The atmosphere was gorgeous and the free music was a lovely addition. I would highly recommend it and would return if we were here longer!

We had a very nice brunch here. The food was consistently quite good and the service was pretty efficient and courteous. The omelets were sumptuous, the beverages fun(including a bloody mary bar. we did have to ask for fresh bacon as it had run out). I did the budget breakfast which hit the spot with scrambled eggs, roaster taters, and a sweet muffin. The fish tacos were also good. Nice al fresco dining on the patio.

My mom and I always come to St. Pete beach as a vacation and like to check out local and more Heath conscious restaurants and boy did Chill deliver! I’m not one to write reviews, but first off the staff is phenomenal and our waiter, Gilbert was a hoot. He was very educated on the menu, answered any and al questions we had, catered to our needs and maintained great conversation! To start we ordered the spaghetti squash with ratatouille and a house made tomato sauce. The squash was roasted perfectly and the vegetables were perfectly cooked, leaving a little bite! With Gilbert’s recommendation we also ordered the goat cheese tapenade, layers of goat cheese, sun dried tomato tapenade, Olive tapenade, housemade fig compote and a sherry reduction! The flavors went together perfectly and sherry reduction really made the dish shine! As an entrée we shared the pescitarian delight, which was a perfectly cooked fillet of white fish, sautéed vegetables over a bed of roasted squash! Which also was phenomenal! The portions were perfect and all for a great price! Will definitely come back again!

I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place and the food is excellent as well. We came for Saturday brunch with friends. We ran into the art festival outside, so we had to go park at the old Chill. Luckily for people who accidentally go to the old Chill, it is not that far away, so you basically only have a three block walk ahead of you. Our friends were worried that it was going to be packed. Well, crisis averted, because I would say that the place was moderately busy. It was a comfortable amount of busy. They have a nice patio and since it was a beautiful day outside we opted to sit on it. To start the day off right, they have a $ 4 bloody mary special. They have a bar where you can add additional bloody mary toppings, but it comes with an olive and shrimp skewer and celery. However, if you want to add a ton of bacon, you can, because it’s available at that bar. I got the egg white scramble and my husband got the philly cheesesteak sandwich, with just the meat, cheese, and mushrooms. Our friend swears by the shrimp and grits and gets it every time. I thought the egg white scramble was ok. It tasted healthy and there was a lot of it, but I would probably try something else next time. I loved my husband’s cheesesteak. It tasted like they used liquid cheese so the steak and the cheese turned into a gooey mass of deliciousness. I also liked the fries that came with it. Overall, I really enjoyed this place. I would definitely suggest it to someone for a good meal. There are so many cool shops around that even after our meal we spent time walking around(both the fair and the shops). It made for a great morning.

I stopped in for a quick and snack-type late lunch during a visit to St Pete. With a name promising tapas, you know it will be a bright spot to fill the gap before dinner. We were among a few patrons on a Saturday afternoon, and chose to sit semi-outside on their covered porch along Corey Ave., which I highly recommend. Our waitress was friendly, but there were a few areas which tarnished our experience. While we really enjoyed the Arnold Palmer(homemade iced tea/lemonade) and«Leaded» Iced Toddy(purportedly very caffeinated iced coffee), we were a little dismayed that our lunch item wasn’t delivered as promised or described. We opted for the Fish Tacos, and I asked if the fish was grilled or fried, and if the corn tortillas were crispy or soft. I was told the fish was grilled and the tortillas soft, however the tacos arrived with fried fish displayed over double-stacked deep-friend corn tortilla in more of a «tostada» arrangement than the tacos we had been promised(as a PS — I’m not sure how these tacos can be listed as a «gluten free» item on the menu as the fish is breaded and fried). One item we did enjoy a bit more was the Goat Cheese Tapanade Terrine, which was layer upon decadent layer of goat cheese, olive tapanade, and roasted tomatoes/bell pepper, served with toasted baguette chips for dipping. Definitely a very shareable dish and totally delicious. While I was put off by the inaccuracy of the«tacos,» we still ate them, as they weren’t cheap for two«tostada» tacos, and we were hungry. The tapanade helped to fill in the blanks, and the nice semi-outdoor atmosphere was nice as well.
