Very classy, but would you expect anything less in such a classy hotel? Chardonnay and Cab were $ 7 a glass, and a Grand Irish Coffee was $ 9.75. Very nice server, friendly and cheerful. The Stanley Cup finals were on the TV and quite a few patrons were cheering on the action. It’s definitely not a place to find rock-bottom drink prices, but the bar seems to do very well with the expense account crowd. I had a really nice time here.

Nice classy atmosphere in downtown St Paul. This place is a bit on the pricey side, so bring a full wallet because you will need it. $ 7 for a beer is definitely more than I am used to paying for it. Service was great, very attentive. Nothing really stands out of this place, seems like a happy hour place for people that work in the area. And yes, dress to impress so you wont look out of place.

Great for a drink and snack. The bacon wrapped dates are divine!

Great place to grab drinks if you’re feeling nostalgic. Or just old. We wandered in to get a few drinks and appetizers before meeting up with some friends for dinner. I surveyed the crowd of white-hairs and tourists with their parents and realized that this wasn’t the W. No matter… the waitstaff are pleasant, if not harried(I observed only one waitress tasked with serving the entire seating area inside the bar as well as the club chairs by the fireplace), the wine list is great, and their small plates are better than bar food. The rosemary flatbread is TDF and I fully snarfed. The lobby is old-school, cozy, and just ever so slightly worn. I digged the live music offering — lady on piano, dude on the bass — and the chance to people-watch.
