My experience here was so poor that I almost wish I wasn’t referred. I had an appointment to basically confirm that the lump in my finger was a simple cyst and nothing more. I saw Dr. Donovan after waiting 20min or so and I probably saw him for less than 5. The overall staffing here(besides the receptionist) were all cold. It seemed like no one could look me in the eyes or utter one non-robotic word to me. Which in turn made me feel like I was on a factory belt and they were just going through the motions. I had x-rays taken to confirm what was in my finger. Prior to the rads I was excited because I take x-rays at my job and I was looking forward to talking to someone about them. But alas, the robot that took my x-rays was not interested in interacting with a human. She took the films so quickly that I had no time to discuss anything. I was handed a lead belly band for protection and that’s it. This stunned me slightly because when I take rads at work we gown up fully(literal lead gown, thyroid shield and occasionally gloves). I wanted to ask for something more or just ask something in general but the procedure was done before I knew it. I’m exposed to radiation every day. How were these people supposed to know that without talking to me? Yes I got my answers that I needed but honestly anyone could have told me what was going on. This appointment left such a bad taste in my mouth that I wish it hadn’t have happened. Again my provider barely could hold eye contact with me(was too busy glancing at my chest, not kidding) and would cut me off when I was talking. It was basically get in and get out to the next patient. Stone cold bed-side manner if there was even manners involved. Which there wasn’t. I talk more to my animal patients at work than these people did to me. If you have to visit this place at least try a different doctor.

I had a really great experience here with the doctor and support staff. I’m an athlete, and the care I received was geared towards getting me back to doing what I love. My doctor was very easy to relate to and very sports oriented, which helped and I felt like he understood what I was saying when describing my pain(which can be challenging if you’ve ever experienced overuse injuries that all add up together.). Most importantly he asked me practical questions and explained things in terms I could understand. I would strongly recommend this doctor and office to any athlete experiencing joint and muscle pain. Especially endurance sport athletes.
