The parking lot at this Sam’s is absolutely ridiculous — of course it is the Woodbury traffic and I swear we almost got in a couple of fist fights when we were just trying to park our car on a few occasions. Woodbury shoppers tend to have their head up their, well you know what I’m saying… …So we are already all worked up before we even step foot into the store. This Sam’s seems a little drab and older but again it is a warehouse so what do you expect. We have been members of Sam’s for many many moons and quite frankly the savings just are not as fantastic as they once were. If you entertain often or cook for large groups yes you should look here for the things you use. I sometimes just am not into the event that a trip to Sam’s can be. If you dare venture here on a Saturday there are too many kids on the loose with the parents not watching also…

Best SAMs Club in the area. Store is easy to navigate & find what is needed. Has Great food demos. Management is fantastic & always out interacting with the customers. Clean food court area, great bakery. They made me a custom cake with almost zero notice in a pinch. Highly recommend!

I really dislike the Sam’s Club in Woodbury, Minnesota. This store has to be the single worst store in the chain. I have been a Sam’s Club customer since 2006 and this store frustrates me no end. What makes it worse is the management doesn’t seem to care and the regional management doesn’t care either. Enough with that though, let me give you the reasons for my dismay.. . My issues with this location began in 2010. Issues that I experienced were rotting condiments in the restaurant area and in general bad service such as no one around to take passport photos for 90 minutes. Further issues that I had in this store include purchasing 2 Phillips TVs on Labor Day weekend 2011. The TVs were listed in store as having some really good specs i.e. 100,000 to 1 contrast ratios etc. When I had the TVs installed, the picture sucked as did the performance. I checked the manufacturers specs and found out that Sam’s Club falsely advertised these TVs in store and that the actual contrast ratio was 5,000 to 1 – only inflated by 20x, not too bad. I discussed this with the store manager, Chad, and I brought the TVs back and he gave me a gift card to cover installation costs. The service issues in store continued though.. . My next issue was with a demonstrator giving my son crap in the store. I gave my son permission to try a sample and was standing next to my son yet the demonstrator began to lecture him on taking the sample. This was also discussed with the management. My most recent two issues involved paying for things only to find out that when they went to the«cage» to pull the items they didn’t have them or they misplaced them. The items I attempted to purchase were electronics and they had multiple shelf tags for them. The first time, I let it slide. The second time, I wanted the item and I also had a shopping cart full of frozen foods that were just rung up but they wouldn’t let me pay, they suspended my order. I insisted they find the item so they began a quest to find it. It took about 15 minutes but they did eventually get my item. Once they had it, I was assuming I would be able to pay and go but no such luck, I had to wait for the cashier to check out her line to take care of me. I left the store frustrated and while in the parking lot, I called to speak to the manager, Chad. I just saw Chad in the store as I was walking out however I was advised that he was gone for the day and would call me the next day. The next day came and went and I received no call. I called Sam’s Club corporate a week later to find out what why I wasn’t getting a response and they advised me that Chad’s boss would be calling me to address the repeated issues within the store(there are other ones not detailed here). I was told I would get the call within 3 days. A week and a half went by and then I called Sam’s Club again to see why I got no follow up call. They apologized again and said I would get a call the next day, which I did. When I got my call the next day, I advised them I would like to cancel my membership. They offered me a gift card to not cancel it and extended out my membership for a year. They gave me the one year extension but seemed to forget the gift card. I ultimately went in the store after waiting for weeks to cancel the membership and then they finally gave me the gift card I was offered several weeks before. My personal experience can not be unique. I think that my experience is probably typical for Sam’s Club but most people won’t speak up about it.

The grocery is satisfactory. Just a little difficult finding certain items but it’s probably due to the size. I don’t use it very often. I’m actually writing a quick review on their tires department. Yes, membership is required for this too. I’m a Sam’s Club Member by default due to my car tires being purchased here from someone else. They rotate your tires for free, walk-in’s accepted, and they have FREEAT&T WIFI for customers to use while waiting! I’m using it right now while waiting for my tires to be rotated so that’s a huge plus. Customer service in the auto department is pretty good on the 2 – 3 occasions that I’ve visited this past year. The other nice thing about buying the tires here was getting a new one when I had a flat last summer.

My wife and I love shopping at Sam’s Club in Woodbury MN. Their prices are very affordable and every is good quality. I really love their meat department, and buy a pack of Ribeyes whenever I am there. They are usually about $ 7 per pound which is an exceptional price at least $ 5 per pound cheaper then anywhere else in Woodbury. If there is one thing that made me appreciate Sam’s Club all the more was having a couple of kids. My wife and I had a membership before having kids but things like diapers and formula are so much cheaper at Sam’s. The Woodbury location is one of the better locations I have been to. It is very clean and all the associates are very kind.
