My husaband and I had our wedding reception at Central Park right on Lake Bennet.
The office workers for the city were helpful and knowledgable. We had to follow some noise and alcohol restrictions but were able to have beer and an acoustic guitarist play right next to the lake under a pavillion. Our out of town guests LOVED it!
The Central Park had a playground, walking paths, a music pavilion, and several other recreational areas.
If you are looking for a place to have an outside celebration, I’d go with Roseville parks.
We tried to do St. Paul parks, but they were booked years in advance and were much more expensive. At Central Park, we had access to a kitchen, bathrooms, parking lot (of all the guests), and recycle and trash bins that we didn’t have to take care of. All for $ 200 for the whole day!
