Rocco’s Pizza

Noooooo. Flavorless. And this is only one of a couple choices in the hood. Do yourself a favor and drive a few minutes to old school Red’s or a more contemporary pie at Black Sheep.

So I am unlucky to live in a no mans land of a delivery area. But, the one saving grace is being half a mile from This awesome little pizza delivery place. The staff is always nice and very fast. The pizza is Midwestern style which is just fine with me. Lots of cheese and toppings, thin crust, square slices and their sauce is perfect. Always consistent. Great coupons. I have one beef with them, they don’t have jalapeños. Please get them, but if not I still love you. Now get to my house and feed me pizza!

Roccos is easily the best pizza pizza in the twin cities. What I mean by pizza pizza is not that highfalutin brick oven, arugula, fried egg, guancale blahblahblah. Don’t get me wrong, I love that stuff but Roccos hits the spot as a great pizzeria place. I can remember my family (Grandparents, aunts, uncles and parents) getting Roccos pizzas for the past 20 years. My mom’s family are westsiders who grew up on Smith Avenue. Roccos was a Friday night tradition for many years and I still drive from Merriam park to the west side for their pizza because there isn’t quite anything like it near me. It is a great little building with a big open kitchen that just cranks out tons of pizzas. I feel like they have an intense neighborhood cult following because they always seem pretty busy. The guys working behind the counter and making the za are really nice and friendly as well. Consistency is the name of the game with them, their crust is not too thin or too thick, golden brown, and kind of a like a great bread soft but with some crispy goin on. The sausage has great spice and flavor! Every pizza I get is great and I know I can’t count on it to be delicious. Tip: the pizza fries are insanely good-​simple but garlicky, salty and cheesy! Also, get coupons online and off the pizza box for an extra good deal!

My go to place for pizza for the past 12 years. The crust and sauce make this the best you’re going to get.

I’ve been going here almost weekly for a couple years now. Always great and consistent. Friendly staff, fast service. Awesome pizza! I would definitely recommend it.

My parents moved to west st. Paul so I thought we try Rocco. Great pizza! Staff was very nice and helpful. Try you won’t regret it.

This is our go-​to place! Hands down #1 on our list, and we eat a LOT of pizza… Love the cheese fries, pizza, and wings. Great balance of sauce and toppings, love the flavor, not too salty or sweet, just right!!! We’ve been ordering from this location for years, well worth the 30 minute round trip drive!

Best pizza in the area. The pizza fries fare great and the dipping sauce is thick and cold, just like I like it. I bit pricy and the coupons are not as food as they used to be. Pretty fast delivery too.

Excellent pizza, and by far the best on the West Side. The prices may seem a bit high but coupons are easy to find and this is actual pizza, made with actual cheese and stuff, not the edible plastic you get from too many other places. Service and delivery are excellent. We’ve been customers for at least a couple of years now, and the quality and flavors haven’t varied. Rocco’s is a big winner!

This place has some pretty rock-​solid pizza. They don’t skimp on the toppings and ordering ‘extra cheese’ actually is extra.
The other reviewers mentioned to use coupons… and I would have to agree. This place is a touch pricey, in my opinion, which is why I’m giving it four stars.
We always get it delivered and the delivery guys are super nice and fast.
They have a decent sized selection of toppings and the sauce they use is tasty. I would definitely choose this place over everywhere else on the West side.
They also have pretty good wings… boneless and traditional.
On a related side-​note, my girlfriend and I agree on a lot of things but we both have vastly differing opinions on what a pizza should be to the point where we literally can’t order one pizza to share.
This place somehow manages to satisfy both of our palates right down to the sauce.
If you haven’t given Rocco’s a try, I definitely recommend it. It’s a good local business.

I would suggest finding some coupons for Rocco’s. They aren’t hard to find, but you can get a little sticker shock if you don’t plan for that. The pizza is good and considering your choices in the area, it is a really good place to get pick up or delivery.

Probably the best Pizza on the West Side. Plentiful toppings, tons of cheese good crust and great sauce. Square cut pizza slices like I grew up on. Prices are average for a pizza joint, but get even better if you use the coupons on the box from your last order. I go there as often as the wife will let me.
