After reading food reviews I wanted to try Lulu’s. The gyros was flavored well, cut quite thickly and the pita soft and good. The falafel were good – crisp and tasty. The salad dressing has good flavor. I had the Greek salad and had them add lamb to it, and it was a really good dinner salad. Lots of feta and olives. I haven’t tried many other things on their menu, but worth it for a quick stop after work to pick up a nice salad and some falafel.

When you want some good comfort, Mediterranean cuisine, hit up Lulu’s. I love their grape-leaves and the casual atmosphere inside is really awesome; the market style they have fits in with the personality of the food perfectly. My only mediocre feedback is that the service tends to be slow and they get the orders wrong on occasion. Overall, great place for Mediterranean food however!

Super duper juicy luce and the rulu wrap was excellent. Nice calm seating area, very laid back. Saffron fries with dipping sauce a must

I love the place. It’s off the Main Street(Snelling) so it’s not exactly a place that a whole lot of 9 – 5 workers drive by on their commute, so not everyone knows about it. But it’s fantastic. Best gyros I’ve ever had, and that’s not an embellishment. I order I chicken and one lamb/beef. Just the best. Take out and delivery available. I’d advise you to give it a shot. You’ll be glad that you did.

Usually Lulus is pretty good. I just ordered food for delivery, and it took over an hour to deliver. And despite the fact that my food was 30 minutes late, the fries were like biting into a raw potato. Not impressed.

There’s just something not right. The times that I’ve gone here I’ve tried to order different things off the menu in order to explore and really try the place out. But it really just comes out to be ‘okay’. Like not really a place I would regular but it’s so close to my apt that I tend to gravitate here. Why it’s just okay — the décor and layout of the restaurant is really cool. They have kind of a shop inside where you can pick up random candies and other cool impulse buys that you wouldn’t expect at a restaurant/take out place. & the FRIES are really good. Why there’s something not right — the food is just hitting okay. I’ve had the lamb gyro and burgers(lulu, etc.) and they didn’t quite satisfy. The burger I ordered for delivery was very mushy(lulu burger). I tried to act like I liked it and like that was the normal texture for a bun & burger, but it just wasn’t. I’m not picky but that was just off. The gyro was okay but didn’t leave me wanting to go back again for it. All and all, i would recommend this place if other delivery places were closed or you wanted a quick bite(get the fries). But if you’re craving something and think this will satisfy I might say pass. Again, idk there’s just something ‘not right’.

My first time being in here, I asked the woman at the counter what she recommended. After going through a few different popular dishes, I ordered The RuLu to go. About five minutes later, I had my goodness and off I went. My experience with the waitress was excellent. She brought my food out to me, hoped that I would love it, and to come back again soon. Really appreciate the sincerity. My food was hot and fresh and delicious, even with the ten minute drive home. I had gotten the fries on the side, which were really good, but next time I’ll get something different as fries rolled up in the deliciousness that is the RuLu. Thanks for the great food and service! I will definitely be seeing you again!

I’m allergic to lamb, so I usually stay away from Greek restaurants but I ordered burger from here for a work lunch through Foodsby. The menu says«Burgers *Regular hamburger comes with lettuce, tomato and pickle. All extra toppings $.50 per topping. *Add bacon to any burger $ 3» SO because I like pickles, I added extra pickles for $ 0.50 more. «Extra» pickles = 2 tiny slices. On top of that, there was no lettuce and no tomatoes. The bun was way too big for the small patty. I’m not so sure I’d order from this place again.

The food is phenomenal, and the kitchen staff seems pleasant. The only reason Lulu’s gets 3 out of 5 stars is due to the attitude of the front of house staff. This might just be the one employee, but definitely a little negative and pretentious. Other than that, youz guyz is killin’ it!

This place has decent food, but some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I ordered a Greek salad with lamb online as delivery and it arrived after 50 minutes. It arrived with no lamb, so I called to see if they could bring me the lamb I ordered. Despite my online receipt and the girl on the phone acknowledging that the price I had paid indicated«I was probably charged for meat», she stated that there was no record of my adding lamb to my salad. What? After asking for a manager she indicated that there was not one available but she could«try to find an owner». I eventually gave up after all they would offer me was to waive the delivery fee and purchase a new salad. Not worth the hassle when there is much better Mediterranean food in the area.

This place is way too overpriced for okay food. If you are coming here for a Cheesesteak sandwich, you will have better luck pretty much anywhere else. I ordered a Cheesesteak to go and it came out to $ 13.57. That doesn’t include drink or fries. For that price, you’d expect it to be huge or very good, however it was neither. It doesn’t even come on a long roll, just two small sandwiches on hamburger buns that remind me of the taste you get from microwaving a White Castle bun. As for the Cheesesteak itself, there were too many banana peppers on it to taste anything else. I can’t comment on the service as I just ordered to go. However, if the Cheesesteak price and quality is anything like the rest of their menu items, I could care less how the service is.

A Hidden gem in a Saint Paul. I live relatively close by, sometimes you just need a tasty burger and some saffron fries, I love the Persian twist plz put saffron on everything ! Gyro is amazing as well, it’s nice to have This kind of cuisine close by it beats everything else in the area. Great menu and I’ve tried almost everything !

I love this place. The food is great and the menu has some range. I’ve had most of the menu at this point but I’d say my fav is the sw gyro basket. Love the seasoning they use for the grilled chicken. Great for a healthier option. Beyond the food the vibe at lulu’s is on point. It’s a local feel and most of the staff is from the area. The epitome of a local business. Another plus for people near lulu’s is they deliver. To sum it up the food is great and the staff is very hospitable. They want to cook your food and be your friend. What more could you want out of a quick, reasonably priced meal

It was okay. I ordered the Rulu, it comes with chicken, lamb and fries, all wrapped in a burrito. The meat as on the sallty and the fries were soggy. Other than, that great for delivery, I loved the carrot cake. The driver didn’t offer my change back, I;m generous on the tip, but not that generous!

I don’t know how many times I’ve driven past this place and overlooked it — maybe it’s because most times in that neighborhood I’m looking for a burger at Blue Door. Overlook no more! This Med fare is great, they have gyros, saffron rice, saffron chicken wings(what?!) and a menu full of food to tempt your taste buds. I love the sauces they put on their saffron rice and the sauce that comes with the wings was pretty good, too. There’s a decent little grocery store set up for the college kids, which is very thoughtful on their part. I wish I had known about this place when I was at St. Kate’s!

Lulu’s… Where do I start? To keep it short, I wish it was better but it is just not. The first few times I ate at Lulu’s it was decent. Food was cooked evenly, taste was consistent, I fell in love with the pink sauce. I’ve been eating at Lulu’s on and off over the past few years. The fries are often soggy, the rice is undercooked. The pink sauce that I liked so much was mostly ketchup the last time I had it. I always think of the first few times I went and just hope the food was prepared like it used to be. I love the menu. The pictures of the food on the website look delicious… But it’s an experience I’ve accepted I’ll never have. The past few times I’ve ordered I literally couldn’t finish the food. Delivery takes 45 mins to an hour but usually runs late. Please stop hiring stoner college kids! They are unprofessional and clearly don’t care about the quality. Obviously, Lulu’s isn’t a high class dining experience but I’m really sick of wishing I just got fast food because at least it’s more consistent.

First of all, not a good place to dine in. Don’t care if it is a deli or a market. That’s not the issue. The place is freezing first of all. Not enough heat and the ceiling fas are running in the middle of the winter! Ok onto their food. Not terrible. Not impressive. Mediocre in my opinion. The fries are good. But gyro was just not that good. But if you have to pick, I’d order the regular gyro over chicken.

The chicken gyro, rulu and the Fair burger are what keep bringing me back. They have a great pink sauce for the fries but sometimes the fries are great and sometimes they’re limp soggy and sad. Everything was perfect on my last visit

I have been to Lulu’s more times than I care to remember. And in the words of Steve Earle, «I Ain’t Never Satisfied» The Juicy Lucy and the cheese curds aren’t all that good and for $ 9& $ 7, there is no excuse. I have also had their Chicken special & Beef special in the last few weeks. The Saffron rice, which is supposed to be their specialty is dry and the chicken and beef had no flavor to them. On the off chance that my appetite comes back when I am anywhere near Lulu’s, I am avoiding it like a Spanish Prisoner Scam.

This place is an awesome destination in Summer! It’s a quirky little funky place that’s part convenience store, part restaurant, part awesome people watching. Has a great eclectic vibe and the food is great(and not at all the usual MN grub). Indoor seating as well as outdoor!

Found out about this place via GrubHub and I enjoyed the fair basket. Although I order online, I still had to wait an extra 20 mins outside of the estimated timeframe for my meal. Would be great if you all could make he takeout process more efficient.

This place grabbed my attention curbside, so I decided to stop in for dinner to-go. Right behind the front counter, there is a board on the wall that literally says in big bold letters, how the process goes. Basically, check out the menu, and order to stay or to go. I felt a little rushed so I just ordered popcorn chicken and a pop. It was a bit pricey, so my hopes would be that it was some pretty darn good chicken. While I waited I walked around the place, and it was so STRANGE. They sell small amounts of the weirdest crap there. This is where the«market» part of their name comes into play. You can buy feminine products, ramen noodles, dish/laundry soap, candy, toilet paper, dog/cat food… etc. SOSTRANGE! So I sat and waited at a table for my food. It felt like it took forever, but there were three dudes ahead of me that all ordered food, so that kinda made sense for the wait. When my order came up, I took it to go and opened it up in my car. To my surprise, it was actually really good looking. It didn’t appear to be the drop the frozen chicken in the fryer type of popcorn chicken. It looked homemade which definitely made up for the wait and some of the price(still a bit steep). So overall, I would go back and try it again. maybe see if they have any cheaper options. Not so sure I would eat in though… feels strange eating at a table next to tampons and cat food.

I’m still in love with Lulu’ s and my family is following suit. We had the spicy gyros, a Lulu Lucy, and a cheeseburger. We were all glad to not share the saffron fries. Hubby and I did help the boy to finish his. We waited about 20 minutes for our food, passing the time laughing at the boy get excited about all the snacks they sell in the grocery area. I’m not sure how some are having a bad time here, as we’ve not experienced that at all. I’ve had more visits here than reflected on Unilocal. My hunger sometimes overrules my ability to check in. Their prices are fair and the food is well worth the wait. We are going to expand our dining experience there with takeout.

I do not like writing bad reviews; it’s just not my style, but this experience has me perplexed to see why this place has so many good reviews. They must have been having a terrible day. Thankfully we had a groupon; there is no way that the quality of the food we were served warrants the full price that they are charging. There was only one table ahead of us and their food was served to them as soon as we sat down. It took another 20 minutes for our food to be ready and placed in the window. The cook rang the bell for our food to be brought to our table, but the phantom server never appeared; if the person at the cash register was supposed to bring us our food, then he certainly made no indication that this would happen or even acknowledge that he would at any time. Finally after about 5 minutes my boyfriend had to go up to the window talk to the cook and get our food himself. What we ordered: Lulu’s Chicken special which was served with rice and salad. The salad was dry with about a teaspoon of vinaigrette below it on the paper; the rice was dry and bland and was topped with some sort of unseasoned tomato sauce(a ketchupy/ragu flavor). I left a nearly full plate of food behind and left hungry. The Rulu, which was again filled with that terrible unseasoned tomato sauce, a small portion of meat and french fries. The combination is just not good: soggy fries, meat and sauce in a wrap. While sitting there waiting for our food, I noticed that the service was incredibly slow, even for people just wanting to buy something out of the convenience store. While we were there a delivery person from Bite Squad came to pick up an order; she waited the for at least half an hour, but still didn’t have the order by the time we walked out the door.
