Wow! Don’t use these guys. I called and waited a week. I requested a grandfather clock and coo coo clock cleaning both were operating fine and the customer service woman on the phone assured me they could and would clean and service… annual maintenance. Normally our service would include taking the clocks apart retooling and oiling, This gentleman new nothing, he took the casing off, oiled, then went to the coo coo clock took the back off and DUSTEDTHEINSIDE. NOWBOTHCLOCKSHAVEISSUESTHEYNEVERHADBEFORE… THEGRANDFATHERCLOCKHAMMERISNOTSPACEDCORRECTLY, SOUNDSTERRIBLE, THECOOCOOCLOCKDOESNOTSTOP ‘COOCOOING’ — ALLFOR $ 155. What a waste of time — they must have sent a counter sales person, because this repairman new nothing as to what he was doing.

I called twice ahead of my visit to say that I needed hands for a clock, I drove close to an hour and a half to get there and was told the repairmen was out on a call, why wasn’t I told to maybe schedule an appointment incase of an issue like this? I then asked if I could just get the hands and I would put them on, not a real difficult thing to do, the lady told me that there are different sizes, I knew that, why couldn’t anyone there ‚(I saw three different employees) simply measure my old hands and give me what I needed? Terrible service and not much concern for a potential customer

After my mom died, I brought her collection of clocks here for service so that I could pass them on to family and friends. Repair guy Bob didn’t take advantage of a grieving woman who was too stupid to check a battery in one of the clocks, and he was able to get all the others working again. He even went out of his way to make sure I picked them up on a day that he was working so that he could give me a few maintenance tips, and even some interesting history on one of the clocks. So appreciated! Plenty of parking in the back. Repair department is closed Sunday and Monday.

I made two trips to House of Clocks to get an estimate on cleaning a Tiffany carriage clock. The first trip I was told the repair person/technician was not in and to leave my clock. I returned a second time and was told the same; so I left my clock and was told I would be called the next day with an estimate.(Odd no repair person twice when they are open very limited hours). After a week of never getting a call, I called and was given a quote of $ 250 for the cleaning. I said I would be picking the clock back up. Upon picking the clock up I was told the«clock needs a lot of work»; it worked and looked perfect when I brought it in. I was just cleaning it for maintance. I noticed the hands were now bent, didn’t say anything just wanted out of the uncomfortable environment. Found a 5 star reviewed clock shop on Unilocal. He was fantastic, did the job for $ 100 with fixing the hands(he explained how ‘House of Clocks’ would have bent them). House of Clocks is a retail place(good for buying a scarf) not working on delicate clocks!

3.5 Stars I went to House of Clocks on Sat to get the batteries replaced in two wrist watches. I was surprised by two things when I walked in: how large the space is and how many things are for sale that are not clocks. In addition to clocks of every shape and size, House of Clocks sells jewelry, purses, scarves, and home decorations. But back to the literal house of clocks. Big and small, modern and retro, ornate and plain, grandfather and bedside, expensive and affordable, even cuckoo — House of Clocks has em all. The widest selection of clocks I’ve ever seen. They also do clock repairs. I overheard them explaining to a customer what they found when they looked at his clock and what they still needed to do, and these guys are definitely experts. Unfortunately they don’t do watch repairs. Turns out neither of the watches I brought in needed new batteries, but they both need some work. They didn’t charge me for the time it took to look at them and gave me the info for a watch repair shop. So this was sort of a wasted trip but I’d been curious about House of Clocks for awhile for I’m glad I stopped in. 3 Stars instead of 4 for two reasons. One, when I walked in I stood unacknowledged for a little too long before the two employees unpacking something paused and asked if I needed help. Two, the hours are extremely limited and it was hard to find a time when I could go in. House of Clocks didn’t really meet my(watch repair) needs but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them for clock repairs and purchases.
