This restaurant’s name should be taken literally. There is a hibachi style grill in the back, and a huge buffet filled with many styles of food in the main area. The buffet itself is pretty meh. A few items, namely the shellfish, are fine, but most of the buffet items are either soggy or flavorless. There is a sushi bar, which is pretty good, and an ice cream/dessert bar. The ice cream is way too cold and seems like it’s made with water instead of cream, while most of the desserts look like they came right off a shelf at Cub Foods. The hibachi grill, on the other hand, is spectacular. You can heap a variety of meats, noodles, veggies, and other raw foods onto a plate, and watch as they are cooked with your choice of sauces. Although it can depend on the chef currently behind the grill, the food is generally flavorful and juicy. And, it’s all you can eat, so you can experiment with the different ingredients offered. The prices are low enough to make the experience worth it.

For a buffet, it’s one of the best I’ve been to. Always have food replenished when trays are empty. A variety of seafood along with salmon, pizza and ribs. I’ve never been disappointed. Lots to choose from and they obviously work hard to make the customer happy.

Went Saturday 5pm, 7÷19÷14 food is par, its been better, maybe new mgmt? Nothing great but its ok. Service was terrible no drink refills, empty dishes were rarely removed, another waiter came later assist but she didn’t refill drinks neither, rarely removed dishes, at the end of meal we added 10% tip but both individuals demanded 2% more for their poor services. Myself and families will not return.

Selections are big but mediocre taste. I’m giving this place a poor rating because of the tip hungry servers! Our bill came out to $ 120+ and I signed the credit slip with intentions of giving a cash tip. After I signed it the server said«excuse me… tip not included, you give tip». WTF!!! Did she really just asked me for a tip?! Especially when it took her about 30 minutes to refill our pop?! Oh hell no! Rude ass! I told her that I have cash and plan on leaving a cash tip(there is no reason why I should have to tell her this). She just stood there for a minute looking at me to see when I was going to pull out the cash. I went back to finishing my pop and carried on with my conversation and she finally walked away, but kept hovering over our table and looking over to see when we will pull out the cash. Just cause of that we only left a $ 3 tip. I’m all about supporting my fellow Asians but this is too cray cray.

The bright side of going to this place is that we didn’t over eat… I saw all the posts saying food was good and service was bad, but they must have taken another turn for the worse since the food was much worse than the service… which was friendly, but not great. But the worst is now that we are home, we are all feeling pretty sick in the stomach. :(

I just went there yesterday(Tuesday May 6, 2014 around 7:15pm) for the first time. It was for my brother’s birthday. The restaurant was very clean. Looked really new and classy. The restrooms were really nice. The lighting and decore was nice as well. I felt like I wasn’t in a buffet, but kind of a nicer place. The food… lots to choose from. My first round, I didn’t see all the stuff available. I kind of zig zagged through the whole thing. It was a little overwhelming at first. There was a big group so I asked everyone where they got the items on their plates. There was korean bbq riblets, general tso chicken(which was very flavorful, but s lil soggy), cheesy mussels(yum! my fav), sushi(rice was a little hard, but there was one really good roll I liked), seaweed salad, crawfish… and lots more. They also brought out the cake we brought in. After everyone had a few plates, the waiter came in with the cake and a COOL flower candle!!! It lit up and kind of popped and opened up to candles on each peddle. It was the coolest candle I’ve ever seen I went on Amazon and ordered 4 when I got home. LOL Overall, I would most definitely recommend this place to all my friends, even tho I fear it would over crowd this place. Food is a lot better than I thought it would be. My boyfriend does not like buffests and he actually really liked this place. Couldn’t stop talking about it. Place was nice and clean. Staff was nice. I think it was around $ 12 a person. Not sure, my mama picked up the tab.

Came here today with my mom and grandma. The food is good but everything tastes the same, food left out too long, wasn’t fresh and was cold. The shocking part is, if you come between the lunch and dinner switch, they charge you lunch and you can only eat the lunch meals, can’t eat the dinner meals. They actually stopped us after grabbing and eating the dinner meals and told us it was dinner and we came at lunch. Wow… I just told them since we would be leaving at dinner, so charge us dinner. You pay after eating.

This place has a good sushi buffet! I would go again to fix my sushi craving. I gave it 3⁄5 rating because of the small variety of selection and the waitresses being really needy of a tip.

Great Selection of main dishes for the price. If you love seafood, then this is your heaven. They have sushi bar, Hibachi grill and buffet. If you are like me and do not like seafood, then it’s only ok. I thought the quality was lacking. There were too many things sitting out too long. I went at dinner times so not sure if they changed them out from lunch. The ambiance is nice. The music is to be desired. Sometimes I hear unedited versions of dance songs playing.(There are children and families here.)

As I’m writing a review for this joint, it’s obvious to tell that my diet plan didn’t go as well as I’d hoped. In fact, I lost what little self-control I had left at this place since everything was uberdelish. I’m all about sushi and sashimi, and Hibachi delivers it. Okay, I know what you’re thinking. How can I possibly rate the quality of a sushi at an all-you-can-eat place, right? In short, I lower my standards accordingly. Even then, I could easily say that they make far better sushi’s here than most of the sushi places I’ve been to in Minneapolis, including the overhyped Origami. The rice was marinated with the right amount of tanginess that brought out the slight sweet flavor of the fish. I also devoured what’s probably a third of the salmon sashimi they had in the serving tray. I know it was anything but fresh, but that’s all forgiven since the pieces conserved the buttery aroma and crunchy texture that I love so much of the fish. The other food was also surprisingly good. When you go there, the selection and taste does NOT disappoint. I LOVED the ginormous bbd chicken wings and chicken skewers. Heck, there wasn’t much I didn’t like when I was there. The ambience was pretty classy looking for a buffet joint, the staffs were quick and attentive to their service, and the cleanliness of everything was excellent. They also do a pretty interesting birthday celebration. When you hear a gong, it’s not because a tray of your chicken’s floored in the kitchen. It’s the announcement of the coming of the staffs who’ll come to your tablet to present a birthday cake to you(with candles!) as they sing along to what sounds like a «Happy birssday» song that’s blasted in the background. Not a bad way to announce to the world that you’re now older, I’d say. In all seriousness, do try this place out. I loved it and I’m at least 99% sure that most people would too. Don’t be the 1%.

I love it! Awesome prices with a great selection of food! I don’t really bother to go to any other Asian buffets anymore since I’ve started coming here. Food is great and the sushi is not to bad for being buffet sushi. They are heavly staffed so cups get refilled quickly and plates removed. I highly recommend.

I would agree with all the four-star reviews except for the water issue during my visit. I went to the bathroom and all the toilets were clogged. The faucets weren’t working. I complained at the front desk and they said they had NORUNNINGWATER. How long was this a problem? Were employees washing their hands? The staff thought it was hilarious.

I have 2 words: Eight. Dollars. Seriously huge selection for under 10 bucks. Sushi was very little fish and a lot of rice. But is that a surprise? At 25 bucks a pound for sushi grade tuna it’s not out of the ordinary to put paper thin slices on top of the rice. Habichi was dyn o mite! Service was spotty. Lots of waddlers around if you catch my drift.

Here we go again doing another review on a chinese buffet and losing all my credibility as a picky eater. Look when you have 2 very active kids with variously activities, you will understand why I eat here so much… Name another place where you can shove cook fish and vegetables down your kids face during the weekdays when you to to be somewhere in 45 minutes? Back to our review, as usual, here is my + and -: + Why I continue to be fat and eat @ this place: * Mangolian BBQ selection is very good. Unlike Super Moon, they actually have raw shrimp as a choice! Big plus to me. * Service is very fast and quick. * This place is rediculously clean… Who would have though putting white marble floor in a place like this? * Big selections(hot/cold) * Shushi is good during peak time when there is a lot of flow. * Giant(4″ across) Oreo cookie — yes, just the cookie, no cream filling so you can add your own vanilla ice cream. — Why I should not eat here before I die due to cardiac arrest: * Cook fish choices are limited. * I eat too much and getting fat by the seconds… * Hot food choices are smaller than Super Moon in Minneapolis. In short, I love this place. If I have to choose only 1 buffet in the Twin Cities, this is probably on top of my list because of their Mangolian BBQ and the GIANT Oreo cookie… Yes, that giant cookie is very important to me.

I was brought here for lunch last Tuesday afternoon. My Sister in law said, «Birdy sis, this is the best we have to offer here.» I took a look around as we were pulling up and said, «Well this is a waste of space(referring to the parking lot), they should build more restaurants and such here. She laughed. We walked in. The place was bright and clean. I took a look around the buffet lines once we sat down and our drinks were taken. I started at the Sushi line. It was ok. The sushi looked fresh but I didn’t see any sashimi. Disappointed but I guess you can’t have sashimi just because you’re at a buffet. My second round, I decided to try out some of the hot food items. I wasn’t too impressed with the selection. You have the every day Chinese dishes. Maybe I’m just a food snob but it didn’t look too appetizing to me. The service was fast(well since it’s a buffet, not much to tend to). Our waitress was fast and always checked in to see if we were doing ok. I guess I wouldn’t mind going back if I was visiting again but I’d Unilocal around next time and pick out a few places on my own.

I had never heard of this place before, but my parents have been here multiple times and love it. I’ve been to plenty of Chinese buffets in my life time(my parents were restaurant owners for over 30 years) and have seen the best and the worst out there. This place isn’t the worst and isn’t the middle of the road, it’s towards the top. It’s located on S Robert Street in a pretty unassuming strip mall(right next to Kmart, didn’t know those were still around the Twin Cities). We went there for Mother’s Day and it was PACKED. Right when you walk in the doors, you’re greeted by a huge Koi fish pond, then you walk into a pretty stylish front-end area. Nice tile floors, fancy podium and chandelier like lighting; in all honesty, the décor seemed slightly out of place and the main dining area didn’t quite fit in(still very nice either way). We were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. The buffet price was $ 12.99 for Sunday dinner($ 9.99 for lunch during the week and $ 12.99 for dinner) and beverages aren’t included($ 1.75 for soda). The food choices are crazy! There is something for everyone. There is a hibachi grill where you can create something and they’ll cook it right away(didn’t try it). They have fresh made sushi(they make it right in front of you) which I tried and it was decent; don’t expect the same quality from a pure sushi place, but it’s better than buying packaged sushi from a grocery store. The buffet items ranged from American-Chinese food, seafood(shrimp, crab legs, soft shell crab, calamari and fish) and American fare(ribs, pizza, etc). The American-Chinese selection is fairly average, perhaps a little better than most Chinese buffets in the Twin Cities. Good flavors all around, but nothing that says WOW in my mind. The seafood selection was pretty impressive(especially for $ 12.99) and the freshness and quality exceeded what I had expected. The crab legs and soft shell crab was cooked well with huge flavor, the shrimp was done well and the fish was done in a traditional style and wasn’t over cooked. All in all, a great experience and great value for the quality and selection of food available. I gave 3 stars instead of 4 because service was slow(plates started to stack pretty high and water/soda refills didn’t exist) and the buffet/dining area was a complete disaster. Now, it was Mother’s Day and it was VERY busy, but in my mind that doesn’t mean you can sacrifice service and cleanliness.

I’m surprised with alot of the average reviews. I’m a Huge fan of asian buffets and especially if it comes with a coupon I found in the mail I decided to give them a try. The place is super clean and big with lots of variety which you don’t normally get with asian buffets which are a lot of the times dingy looking. Lots and lots of food variety and all served piping hot even though I went here before the dinner rush at 5pm the place was somewhat filled and by the time my group was leaving lots more locals were coming in to fill the place on a weekday. The food Sushi– is beginners sushi nothing too special but not bad Seafood– Crawfish I don’t remember seeing crab legs, a bunch of random dishes cooked up American food– For the kiddies that are picky Dessert and Fruits theres tons to choose from and softserve icecream FTW I didn’t try the hibachi I will be coming back for more can’t resist All You Can Eat crawfish. YUMMY.

For my first visit I pretty much restricted myself to soup, sushi rolls, and the hibachi grill. Hot and sour soup, my benchmark, was only so-so. Not very spicy. The hibachi was pretty good… though it could have used a wider assortment of proteins. As the previous reviewer noted, you had to ask the chef for the seasoning sauces. I much prefer selecting my own. The sushi rolls(please, just call it was it is «sushi rolls». It’s not nice big hunks of fish on rice!) are some of the best of their type. There was a very wide assortment and every piece I had was quite favorable. This is what raises my review from a 2 to a 3 star. The price was right: about $ 8.50 or so with tax. Drinks would have brought that up higher… I’m cheap! Next trip I’ll try some of the massive assortment of hot dishes.
