I love that there is a Farmers Market located downtown on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 – 130. It’s located in the little mall area between Great Waters, JJ and some other places. Today I caught the tail end of the market. I couldn’t resist the end of day sale flowers for $ 4. Huge beautiful, colorful bouquets of flowers for that price. I would have bought a few more as I saw many people stocking up on multiple bouquets, but I had a distance to walk and didn’t feel like hauling them home. So I settled for one which is lovely. Nice size market selling all the regular. –Fresh Broccoli –Flowers –Leeks –Cilantro –Shallots –Cucumbers etc. I bought some broccoli which was really good. Some mini cucumbers and some penny pans, patty pans– something pan. I have always wanted to try them so I bought some. I had to google how to prepare them. The size of this one is perfect for popping over on lunch break and the flowers are beautiful and so fresh with many blooms still left to open. There were a few guitar playing singers serenading the shoppers. That I could have done without. Sorry, just not a fan of that folky Indigo Girl Sound, but bravo for having the confidence to play in front of people. I wouldn’t be able to do it. Very nice market for the weekday marketers.
