Looking for a good sledding hill around the Twin Cities? I haven’t been inside the rec center or anything but they have a steep hill for sledding right outside. The nice thing is that it’s lit up at night (not sure about the time but it was lit up every time I’ve been by).
The hill itself is pretty steep and one of the days i went it was really icy. There’s brush and small trees at the bottom of one side of the hill and you can’t really stop in time but i made it through full speed a few times with no injuries. Besides — what’s the fun if there’s no danger.
The entrance is on Winthrop Street. There’s also cross country ski trails and a fair amount of parking.
