Lots of stock – I’m told much less often than in other stores«we can order that for you.» Friendly staff and lots of natural light toward the front of the store. THeir highlights, staff picks and local writers’ tables by the front door are a great entrée to the whole experience of shopping here.

I regret that I only got to go to this BN one time. I was cruising thru town on the way to the airport when i saw this place right off Cleveland. Went inside and the place was packed, most of the shelves were empty and employees were walking around helping people and conversing with who I will assume have been regulars at the store. Even with the denuded shelves I still found a couple of items I had been looking for for awhile. I wish I had been to this location earlier because even with what was left you could tell it had an eclectic selection. I hate it when a bookstore closes and it seemed to be a great fit for that little area of Minneapolis.

Got off work on Christmas Eve to get a gift and they closed 4 hours early without changing their hours status online. What a waste of time… Guess I’ll stick with Amazon which beats their prices anyways. Also closed on Christmas, won’t return to this location.

This place and people here are delightful. I love coming here to get books. The people here are more than happy to help me out when I need help looking for something. They seem to know their stuff around there. As long as they stay this delightful, they won me over as a customer.

I love to come to this Barnes and Noble to do homework, relax, or just read a good book. They have a very involved staff and I feel at home here. The books are a little pricey — but I can always find a coupon online or in the mail.

How can you not like a Barnes & Noble? Any store you go into is busy. It gives me hope for humanity. People do read books. The staff is usually pretty friendly and the selection seems decent. Did I mention I love my Nook?

I have changed my mind, and the place has grown on me. If you’re on the mailing list, and get the card it’s 10% extra off any sales, usually 20%. Unfortunately, they tend to be around the holidays, but there are enough of them, I suppose. The staff are awesome, and very involved. Off to the right of the front door as you go in, there’s a section on local writers. Many of them mystery. Also, there’s been a lot of way marked down books, as in all B&N, as you walk in. They have lots of cute gifty items. It’s on a smaller scale, but handy.

First of all, I usually get books from Amazon or Half Price Books, however sometimes you just need a book now! The reason to love this Barnes is you can get a gift for almost anyone here. Not only books; toys, Legos, games, cards, gadgets, stationery, Star Wars bobble heads? you got it. Then head on over to Starbucks for some yummy treats and coffee.

I enjoy this Barnes & Noble location because it’s across the street from Half-Priced Books, so if they don’t have something for cheap, I can run across the street and grab it for full price. I wish they had more than two over-stuffed chairs. People are always vying for them and Minnesotans are way too non-confrontational for chair drama.

This the location closest to where I do the majority of my shopping and errands. I’ve been to this location many times(even got my Nook there), and depending on the bookseller, I’ve usually had an incredibly positive experience. Yesterday, after getting some reading material for the agency, I decided to crash in a chair and finish a book I’ve been reading on my Nook. Having a background in bookstores myself, I always have appreciated the bookseller who KNOWS books. We’re talking about the person who actually gives a crap about making sure a reader finds a good«read» or a new author to follow. I saw it in full force yesterday. It turns out that the gal who rang me up took two folks to the history section and managed to chat a good 30 minutes about various titles. She didn’t have much luck initially, and returned shortly afterwards with a new brainstormed list of titles(of books) that they hopefully hadn’t read yet. She was smart, engaging, friendly, and REALLY knew the history section. Let’s just say it took all I had to not poke my head over and see what other titles she suggested. That is why books will survive… readers getting other readers on board. She gets 5 stars in my book.

I love book stores. I love Barnes & Nobel. I don’t love the staff here though. If you can find one(they seem to have some sixth-sense ability to avoid customers) they’re either unhelpful or frequently just rude. But, I’m not here to chat with them! No! Books can be my friends in this crazy mad-cap world! And there are books and books and magazines and kids books… oh man. I am a nerd, so my section is the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section, and its decent. The kids are is good though they don’t carry the LeapFrog Tag Reader books, which is sorta odd. That they have a Starbucks within the building is great as well. I’d gladly browse the shelves here for hours. Parking can be a challenge, especially when Chipole is rockin’.

I should not be allowed into this store; it is dangerous to my wallet. Their selection is so wide and there is always something that interests me. I love to spread the gift of reading and end up clearing out the clearance section getting presents for people. My Christmas and birthday shopping is done for this year and probably the next. There is a good chance that I’ve spent $ 1,000 on books since getting my Member Card.
