I had the rice vermicelli noodle salad, which includes a chopped-up egg roll. It was delicious. I’d go again.

I was looking for something quick and moderately healthy out of all the food trucks that were lined up, and Asian Invasion did the job! There wasn’t much of a line and I am a fiend for Asian food anyways. I asked his what was better between the spicy chicken vermicelli salad and the bahn mi, and he told me the salad was defintitely lighter, so I went with that and was NOT disappointed! It came out very fast, the guy was very friendly, and the food was delicious. I am now going to implement food truck Friday so I’m sure I will be back to this one soon!

This is one of my fave food trucks in St. Paul because first, they come out weekly(FINALLY) to regions hospital where I work. They always have a great smile and are able to keep up with the line. I’d have to say they have some pretty darned good food and even some great deals like this weeks customer appreciation in which you got an app free with any purchase. The bAnh mi is quite tasty as well as the lemon grass chicken. I can’t wait to try the curry dog and the firecracker shrimp! Thanks again guys for coming out every week. I actually started getting food trucks out at regions by facebooking all of them due to construction on our cafeteria! I just wish they’d keep it up for winter but that’s just dreaming! kudos for having such a large menu for a food truck!

Finally, a great Asian food truck. I’ve tried a few Asian food trucks only to be disappointed by fast food quality Asian cuisine that didn’t hold a(chop)stick(couldn’t help myself and I won’t do it again) to stuff like the American Cajun Grill(it’s actually awesome Chinese stir fry) either in taste or portion. Asian Invasion has Asian food that tastes great and is made with awesome ingredients. They skip the poorly made sweet and sour that you can get at Lee Ann Chin or some of the other Asian fast food joints and throw some legitimate good Asian food.(All types too, Korean, Japanese, and Thai?) I tried their awesome Japadog and had their cream cheese wontons. The Japadog was everything I hoped for. It had a very good but strangely bright red hot dog with covered with very flavorful toppings including a perfectly spiced and not watery curry sauce. There was a little heat but just a very good Asian style curry. The cream cheese wontons were what I expected, not to oily and very crispy. I am keeping my eye out for this truck so that I can try some of their other offerings.

Asian Invasion is still fairly new to the streets, but they’re slinging some pretty tasty pan-Asian eats. Their menu changes somewhat frequently, but you can typically expect to find things like a Vietnamese pork sandwich(note, not a banh mi), katsu curry, egg rolls, sesame chicken, among other things. The pork sandwich was generously sized and contains a lot of Vietnamese-style roasted pork topped with slaw and served on a ciabatta roll — a bit spendy for a sandwich, but tasty and filling. I have also tried a rotating special of lemongrass chicken which was good and had a nice little bit of kick(in the Minnesotan sense — nothing overpowering). Service has been very friendly and you won’t be waiting long for your order. I’ll definitely always be happy to see them on the streets of St. Paul, though it would be nice to see them add some non-meat centric dishes to the menu as well.

I actually ate here several months ago before they were hitting the streets. They were out at the dragon fesitval trying out their menu and tweaking things. I ordered their bulgogi Banh Mi and my Girl friend ordered their Vietnamese Pulled Pork sandwiches both were very good the service was also pretty good the food was made to order as I watched them cook my bulgogi sandwich and assembly the sandwiches. I spoke with the person serving us and they had said they wanted to test out some of their menu items b4 actually serving them down town, which I thought was a great I deal. both of the sandwiches we ordered were very good the bread was warm and crispy like a french bread should be. they have a huge serving window so you can see the whole inside of the truck which was nice because you can see that every thing is being made and very clean
