Chocolate Cafe & Museum

Food is always good. Staff always blows. Kinda feels like all the people that work here are being forced to get a job by their parents (including the adults… seriously?) I never feel welcome here unless I went to school with someone behind the counter!
St. Joe needs a new meet-​up coffee/​chocolate place with customer service skills, big time.
But I do enjoy the live music. Lots of good memories were had in this building… from high school.

Great chocolate coffee and stays open late!!! (Mon-​Thu & Sun 9:00 pm /​Fri-​Sat 10:00 pm) All kinds of chocolate candy, popcorn flavors n cheesecakes! A nice assortment of coffee beverages. They have soy milk n powder non-​dairy creamers! Very chill… n why wouldn’t it be!!!

This place is in a prime location in St. Joe. They have very nice bistro tables on the sidewalk and great music blaring outside. My 3 year old started dancing every time we walked past.
We went in for a coffee one day and it was awful. Like take a few sips and throw it away awful. They also had a lot of bagged chocolates and other prepackaged goods displayed. Of course my daughter had to grab a bag of pumpkin flavored chocolate pretzels. Crazy expensive and not very good. It also just didn’t feel very good to be in there, kind of cold and like you’re sitting in a retail store. I wasn’t thrilled and decided I wouldn’t be back.
Well, then two days later it was my daughter’s birthday and she wanted a piece of cake to celebrate. the chocolate café was the only place I knew that had cake by the slice, so back we went (somewhat against my will). Ellie picked out a giant piece of 6 layer chocolate cake. I told the girls it was her birthday, and they went absolutely above and beyond drizzling the cake with chocolate and sprinkles and trying to find candles for us, etc. I was blown away by how sweet they were! They also made her a chocolate milk in a fancy cup. My daughter felt really special!
If you are looking for coffee, this may not be the best choice. But if you’re wanting a special treat or a fancy dessert… This is the place to go! The cake was delicious and the look on my daughter’s face was priceless :)

Decided to try this out because there was a bogo coupon on the back of my parking ticket. We usually go to killians but decided to try this. It’s much cheaper with the coupon and tastes just as good. It was packed when we got there but the line moved a lot faster than killians. Enough of the comparison. It’s a nice place with nice service and good ice cream. Definitely a good option for dessert after a long day at the beach.

We got a coupon for this place at the back of our parking receipt at the beach and thought of visiting it for an ice cream. The ice cream was just out of the world. There were a lot of varieties that tasted really good and we had a tough time deciding which one to choose. The portion size was so huge that my wife and I literally had our lunch with that ice cream. On our way back, we also had coffee and cookies, which were also great. We will surely be back here next time we visit St. Joseph’s!
