I was blown away by this lovely, clean, well-maintained campground! It’s clear that the people who run this spot have a lot of pride in their work. We stayed in a drive-in campsite right along the river where we could hear the river and see the bluffs, but no sight of the river itself through the trees. Our campsite was great with a nice lantern hook, tent landing, fire pit with grate and charcoal grill. There was only one other camper there on night one and 2 others on night two, so we had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. The bathroom was clean with two hot showers, two toilet stalls and a nice big sink outside that we used to wash our dishes. There are several lovely trails and a small historical area. The folks in the visitor’s center are helpful and knowledgeable. For $ 16/night, you can’t beat this for camping on the river!

I really enjoyed Tyler Bend. This was my first time camping here. We did a two day float to Gilbert, and Tyler Bend almost at the halfway mark. The gravel bar is large and perfect for many tents, but luckily we were the only campers that evening. The restrooms(that I didn’t know about till the following morning) were also great. Much better than the toilets at Gilbert.
